Heard on the radio someone saying our league was a 4 horse race still, regardless of Dagenhams inconsistency, even if they won all their remaining games they will not win the league.

Somewhere between 93-97 points will win the league imo, makes it highly unlikely FGR will do it either as they need to win every game to get to 96.

FGR's run-in isn't the most taxing, they'll definitely get 90+.

In all likelihood it's us or Tranmere, who'll probably keep stringing unremarkable 1-0 wins against bottom half sides at home, so it's down to us to show our mental strength and finish the job.

Yeah we're not in the race. Ashame as with a fit squad all season, I think we would be but ultimately we haven't coped well enough with key players missing

We are out of it, so I will no longer post in this thread, as unlike "Top Mod" DSL I don't SHAMELESSLY FLAUNT THE 1FF RULES.

Nobody yet by my calculations.

Eastleigh & Bromley not far off though
By my working out Macclesfield upwards are definitely safe, whilst Guiseley downwards (not including us thanks to games in hand) cannot go up.

Which means everybody can theoretically still either go down or up. Nobody's definitely here next season yet?

Great and important win for Lincoln after a couple of disappointing results.

What was the crowd? you get a decent one again?

As said, if you make it, you've got Grimsby, Notts County, Cambridge, Chesterfield and Coventry (both all but down) and probably us, though we're still knocking around the play-offs.

You'll be a very welcome addition back up

6,798 with 160 from FGR.

It's still far from over as our fixtures look pretty tricky: Sutton (A), Bromley (H), Dag & Red (H), Eastleigh (A), Chester (H), Torquay (H), Gateshead (A), Macclesfield (H), Maidstone (A), Southport (A)

If we get 7/8 points from our next four games I'll be happy as our run-in looks okay after that.

It's usually all about 1-0 wins against the crapper sides - unless that's changed.

If you come up, at least you'll be missing out on a trip to South Wales with Newport

Cheltenham are sick worried about a Newport revival.
They are in free-fall while Newport, although they lost game on Saturday should have come away with a draw.
But I will say it is a big gap to close so late in season and Cheltenham only need a few points to be absolutely sure of at least another year in Football League.
Either team would make for a big crowd at TNL , both being fairly local.

The conference is now returning to form

The ex league teams going back up. Traditional non league sides like Newport coming down and bank rolled village clubs going nowhere

Music to my ears.

Hey stranger, how's tricks!

Trust me, keep forest green, no-one wants them here.

Mansfield seem somehow slightly obsessed with Lincoln, we announced their score at half and full time. Wierd lol

Watched Mark Cooper's post match interview just now and I have to say the charismatic differences between him and Mellon are enormous. Mark is quick to blame his players and put all the fault on their feet, whereas when we haven't produced Mickey has blamed himself for an error in tactics or the like. The best managers always take that burden off their players and keep these things behind closed doors.

It's promising that both of you are getting decent attendances - Lincoln 6800 today and tranmere 4200 recently on a Tuesday night (the most recent Saturday game attendance wasn't on bbc).

To say we got a league 2 playoff game (which annoyingly we lost to Exeter) attracted 3,800 there's clearly a chance for both of you if you make it if you go up

Our owner has said that we'll have a top third budget if we go up next season, not sure what that would equate to.

Lincoln and particularly Tranmere will, I think, settle back into being League teams easily enough. I'd expect Tranmere to go.uo again before too long.

That said at least one of those two will be in the play offs and that's not guaranteed this year. I fancy at least one of the less fancied teams (ie not Gump, Imps or Trannies) to get through to the final.

I'm most worried about Aldershot at the minute. I think they have a very good shout.

It is quite likely we would meet Aldershot in the semi-final of the play offs, which would be very tricky. We actually played well at The Recreation Ground earlier in the season, but still lost 3-1.

Our budget is about £1.3million. Which is a top half budget I believe

Aldershot have been the best side I've seen this season, unbelievably.

The Wadfather!

I can see them ending our title race in a few weeks and then knocking us out of the playoffs not long after! The home game is going to be a great litmus test.
