Said that a while ago, FGR appear to be at the mo but could be any of us very soon.

Is 'consistently inconsistent' a polite way of saying 'shit'?

No, it's a polite way of prefixing 'shit' with 'effing'.

Cooper's latest interview is a scream, blaming the defence whilst also saying poor results aren't down to players. Also says it's not the formation or the rotation policy. Reading into the latter I'm wondering if certain players are not happy to be on the bench and he's doing too much to accommodate them.

Why is a 'rotation policy' needed for full-time professionals?

After our defeat at Macclesfield and Lincoln's expected if ref-aided win over Guiseley, the lead passes back to the Imps. Will be interesting to see how Barrow respond to the set-back at Gateshead and whether Forest Green can shore up a stuttering defence.

Rovers only have a couple of games this month, so expecting the gap at the top to widen for us.

Lincoln odds on with all bookies, as short as 4/7 in places. You can get Tranny at 3's we're out to 5's and Daggers 20's.

Dover and Barrow look out of it, can get 50's on them if you fancy a long shot.

Will end up a three horse race imo, we're probably the best side footballing wise but we're not getting the results atm, big week with Barrow hosting Lincoln and then us, and Dagenham going to Tranmere.

Champions don't concede 5 and 4 to Torquay. FGR have no chance.

It's between ourselves, Tranmere and Dag & Red but it's currently looking good for us.

I don't think we'll win the title but I'm surprised we're as long as 20s. Beat Tranmere on Saturday and we're looking good.

Totally agree GodsGift. Wheels have well and truly fallen off Forest Green since our win there. Cooper still doesn't know his best team going into February, lots of ins and outs people don't know whether they're coming or going eg. Racine. No continuity or team spirit, sounds a right mess down there at the minute. Noticed that Mullings didn't make the bench yesterday, injured or out of favour already?

Dagenham could be the ones to look out for, especially if they go and win at Tranmere. Players coming back from injury. Definitely worth a tenner at 20s

Aren't Dagenham about to get over a million quid invested in them? Might push them back in it especially with Still at the helm.
Between us and Tranmere I reckon unless FGR sort their results out, on a terrible run of results as are Dover and Barrow.

We'll not really know where FGR are at until the games in hand are played by others. Barrow, Solihull and Braintree, all away, are ours (I know FGR have currently played two more, but they play Saturday when we don't, so it'll be back to 2 games).

Cooper's arrogance is the only thing stopping Forest Green challenging. Bet the players hate him

Coops is twice the manager Cowley is, just needs a bit more time to sort out our best team. When we're on it we play the best football in this league, by a mile.

Oh Chris, oh no. Don't give the others ammo to hit us over the head.
Brothers Crowley are doing the job and Cooper ain't.
Cooper is undoubtedly a better than good manager but this season he has not got his act together.
However I will say to the ne'sayers that FGR are NOT out of promotion hunt even if they are making hard work of it.
Very tight at top which a good run could take a top team over the line. Lincoln are obviously hot favourites but have amassed a bundle of games in hand including matches in FA Cup and Trophy.
Until the fat lady sings and it is mathmatically impossible for FGR to win title I will remain optimistic. And if FGR are in play-offs they have the experience to win promotion at Wembley.

I'd still say Lincoln are clear favourites. After that hard to call. Daggers have fallen further behind than I expected (tipped them for top spot) and even if they beat Rovers, unlikely but not impossible, still have them unlikely to get the automatic spot.

I've been thinking Lincoln, with Barrow through winning twice at Wembley, since before Christmas. Still think so despite Barrow's stumble.

Heading up on Tuesday to see if that has any basis in reality. Expecting a battle and a point each to start the final push.

That's the problem when you buy bazillions of players. Well at least he has about another 4 and a half years to try and work it all out.

You having a laugh?
I knew nothing about non league before start of season and thought FGR and Tranmere would piss league.
The simple fact that he did well at Braintree with no money stands out, normally even good managers take a couple of seasons to get a new team challenging, which makes him miles better.
FGR had the core of a squad before cooper came and always near top.Lincoln have struggled for years,
They are the best managers in league by a country mile.
Cowleys top end of scale to what McNamara was with the same budget

Wrexham were creaming themselves about the football they were playing last season, and look where they ended up. Lincoln aren't pretty, but they're effective and they know how to play the referee which goes a long way in this league.

I really can't see past Lincoln, they are a club definately on the up with their newly found massive home support. Whilst Lincoln are a club with momentum, they will need to bring new faces in to cope with their back log of fixtures.
I've not been impressed by Tranmere since my return to the UK and i think Cooper has lost the dressing room down at the New Lawn.

I don't recall any Wrexham fans doing this last season!

We've brought a couple in so far and there's meant to be another today. Definitely to increase the squad side as of the start of January we only had 18/19 players.

Clearly we're dropping into the pack while Lincoln set the pace too fast so we can power past them on the final bend. Oh yeah.

I'm delighted with our league position. We've suffered one of the worst injury crisis' I've seen for years at this club and we're still in 4th. I don't know if we'll win it but I do think we'll be in a position to take advantage if Lincoln or Tranmere falter.

Lincoln's to lose but it was only a few months back that Forest Green were 2-3 wins clear and they were pegged back following a poor patch. Lincoln will start to drop points as the fixtures build up. What will determine whether they win it is if they can grind it out when things get busy in that late Feb - late March period.
