Hmmm, I think that's a bit deceiving. Brabin won the first 5 and then it started to go downhill. I thought at the time that a team managed by him wouldn't get promoted. I'd wager that his pts per average would be a lot lower now had he carried on in the role.

Mellon has essentially the same ppg with 6 games more played and came in at a point where they were struggling a bit which I think make his record more impressive.

Didn't Mellon win the first five? Take off Brabin's first five this season, and Mellon's and they'd still be more or less the same.

We have been papering over the cracks all season whether its brabin or mellon in charge, brabins 5 straight wins at the start of the season were horribly unconvincing and as for our current form our 2 wins in our last 5 were both lucky a 93rd min winner against york and if danny rowe wouldnt have missed the sitter of the season against us we would have lost that too.

We are weak at full back, central mid is too static i would stick maynard or harris back in and for the second time this year davies has let a cross drift in, once yes but a second time questions need to be asked over his positioning.

Finally mangan, im not sure what he offers but it sure aint goals at the moment, id be tempted to give stockton a run to freshen it up a little and dpuble the physical presence up top playing alongside cook with norwood running off.

Me may struggle to make the playoffs playing like this

Much as I thought the team showed good spirit to stick at it and get the win yesterday I reckon the best we can hope for is going into the play-offs with some better form against our opponents and reasons to be confident, as Lincoln's games in hand and the way they are playing don't suggest we'll get a look-in however well we go ourselves, and that might not be all that well given the changes that need to bed in.

There's only really Lincoln that have shown anything close to consistency, and in my opinion, the only club that looks like it's got a well-rounded squad of players with cover in most positions. FGR have had their meltdown, we had ours, God knows what happened to Dagenham, and now maybe it's Tranmere's turn. It goes without saying, but any top team that avoids a sticky patch will usually have the best chance at winning the title.

You've omitted to mention McNulty, his lack of pace means we have to defend deep with a sizeable gulf between defence and midfield. Not for the first time, his error led to a goal, the second which effectively killed off the game. Micky needs to think hard about basing a side on two chronically unfit players in big Steve and Wallace.

I like the idea of the two big lads up front. Norwood has been poor this season and I'd rather see Connor Jennings as the man running off them.

The irony is that we're not. Up to 2 weeks ago, we had 2 fit full backs in the squad and it had been that way since September (had two RB's playing against you). We have no depth in wide areas and if you take Robinson or Rhead out, we're not particularly strong there either. We don't have a 2nd 'keeper per se - that's our 43 year old GK coach.

Our strength has been in lack of injuries. We've had 3 serious, unlucky ones in Adam Marriott who dislocated his elbow landing awkwardly, Beevers out for the season landing awkwardly and Miles breaking his ankle 8 minutes into his debut on the first day of the season but in terms of players missing games with strains and pulls, we've only had 3. I don't know what the numbers are, but I bet we're close to using the fewest players this season and had the players with the most appearances so far.

If our injury record, and therefore selection consistency wasn't so good, we'd have struggled a bit. Only have a senior squad of 18 I think. It's padded out by youth players, but they're all out on loan.

We really need 3 or 4 players to come in.

How many players are on your books?
I meant that you've got good players in reserve for most positions, where as most of us don't. I suppose Tranmere have a lot of players too, but maybe not so much quality outside the starting XI.

We only have one genuine left footer in the squad just now in Habergham as Simmons is on loan at Boston. Hawkridge is kinda two footed but that's it! Hopefully some left footers in this week, at least have the cash to sort it these days!

Not 100% sure.

Around the 22-24 mark I imagine, but 5 of those are out on loan for the season (young lads who haven't played this season). We've worked with a squad of about 18/19 most of the season, although it's been less than that at times because of the three serious injuries we've had in the squad.

We have 21 what I would call first teamers right now looking at the programme from yesterday but includes our two loan players Long and Ward plus our goalkeeping coach Jimmy Walker. We have a total of at least 6 younger pros out on loan at the mo, then a few more youngsters listed who've been on the bench for cup ties. Miles hasn't started a game all season due to injury but is fit now and Beevers is recovering from injury. No.32 in our squad is Luke Andersen not a clue who is!

This is great news ahead of Tuesday. Ugwu and Bonne should cause your slow defence some problems.

Please Conference don't let Dagenham come back up, they only came down here and if they do go up they'll just do shit like Cheltenham are doing, plus no one fucking likes them.

How did Cheltenham even win this league last season? They are terrible up here.

Be careful what you wish for it could be Forest Green and your head might explode.

This league must have been complete and utter shite last season. Shows what a poor job Pennock did in missing out. He had nothing to beat, and still fell short.

I saw you against Oxford last season in the cup highlights and I could see that you are a good team and if you'd have come up I'm sure you'd of been doing well in L2 top 7 at least.

How did you fall short?

Pennock lost the dressing room. The players had carried us to where we were, but when it came to it having a weak leader fucked us up, he cracked under the pressure.

No one likes us?! How very dare you. Voted 'Best fans' in the League Two section on many occasion I'll have you know. A very prestigious award.

Genuinely though, are we really disliked? I always think we're quite a harmless bunch.

Mind you, if it's the distance from Carlisle to Dagenham you dislike, then yes, yes I agree.

Both of our clubs have got on very well even the last time you were down here, not sure where he thinks you're hated. You lot will always get a good welcome at the new lawn.

Haha. I've never actually been to Forest Green despite seeing countless home games against you lot. Gone are the days where we were both lower mid table.

Someone had to take the trophy seen as we were ineligible in 2011/12 onwards.

Even we're bigger than you.

Bet you've laminated that and cream yourself on it every night. You're not and never will be bigger than us. Come back and post again when you've done the following without a bottomless pit of money.

Won the conference title
Won the league two play off final
Played 10 seasons of league football.

Money can't buy class.

According to attendance figures we're bigger, history means nothing. Just looks good, history wins you nothing.
