We have released Reda Johnson, Conor Thomas, Aaron Martin, Martin Lorentzson, Aaron Phillips, Peter Ramage, Marc Antoine Fortune, Stephen Hunt and Darius Henderson.

No idea why we've released Aaron Martin. Was fantastic all season.

Offered a contract to John Fleck and are in talks with Marcus Tudgay and Sam Ricketts. Assume we've taken up the extension in Chris Stokes' contract.

Staggered we have let Aaron Martin go. Reda is a good player at this lever but he has had two injury prome seasons with us. J'OB fell out with Mowbray and Aaron Phillips had potential. Not bothered about the rest. At least half of these players were TM signings which is a tad worrying.

So far Achille Campion and Colin Daniel we know will be leaving, Louis Dodds all but certainly staying for a ninth season after triggering a clause to stay, happy with that as he's had his best year for us under Page playing just behind the striker.

Rest we will know tomorrow/Wednesday.

Captain/Player of the season + Players player of the season Adam Chambers has signed a 1 year deal with the option for a 2nd.

Superb news if he replicates his form this season next, great role model and leader too.

Two who've been released who we might/ought to be interested in are Jim O'Brien from Coventry and Tommy Rowe from Wolves. J'OB played for Hilly at Barnsley, whilst Rowe played against us in the playoff final for Stockport in 2008 (six of the sixteen man squad have already subsequently played for us, so we have previous in this respect).

As I've just said in the Championship thread, Kilkenny would be a good signing for anyone in League One.

Very disappointed at the decision to release Dickenson. He's come on so much this season and is a real threat with an excellent cross on him. Loft has just started to come good, but is constantly injured and his first year was pretty poor. The other two haven't had a look in all season.

I must admit I though Dickenson would be offered another year, the other three I'm not fussed by, especially because Loft must have been one of the higher earners at the club.

Of the new deals offered, Egan is simply to ensure we get some tribunal compensation, there's more chance of Leicester winning the Champions League next year than him signing on again. I can't see any of the others except maybe Josh Wright not re-signing.

McGlashan not come on as you'd hoped? I thought he looked quality at our place in the second leg of the JPT last year, along with Dack which was the first I watched him.

We did not play with wingers only wingbacks so McGlashan was sub nearly all season.

He can be frustrating as his pace makes him dangerous, but his end product is a bit random. I would not call him a poor crosser, it was more the forward have no idea if he will shoot cross pass or cut it back. Will be a good signing for anyone looking to get promoted from league 2.

I'm also not happy with Dickenson getting released. Someone wIll get a good young player. We basically had 2 left wing backs in and out the team last season. I think Dickenson was better than Garmston, but Garmston has 2 years on his contract left. I think Dicksenson's wages will go on someone who can play left back in a 4.

Loft was on big money and only played in half the games since he has been here. No matter what his form that is not enough.

What I am saying is we will be forced to wait two months on Occy in the hope that Scunny want him or Barnsley maybe and if no offer comes in he will sign... the issue with this from our point of view whilst waiting we miss out on targets. I'd like him to stay but I think with Grant and Foley we can survive his loss comfortably so should say you have 2 weeks, if not we will look elsewhere.

So based on a couple of games in 2009? He was great for us in this league alongside a tackler in John Welsh. A calm, experienced head and a great passer, was excellent when he came back into the side in the play-offs just gone. Played a key part in 2 promotions at this level.
