I enjoyed Signs, Unbreakable and The Sixth Sense. And as for The Village, it's in my top 10 films that I love. Completely underrated and done an injustice by the PR people. The others have been dross but he's still one of the most successful directors of original idea films so hopefully he'll get it right again.

Plus Wayward Pines has got some pretty good reviews for the pilot episode.

The director tries to be Hitchcock but doesn't have the talent.

He will, I have faith that things will get sorted eventually. It HAS to happen.
Even if Showtime don't put up the cash, I'm sure one of the other Networks such as HBO for example, will give him the money he wants, to end the story how they originally intended to.
Can't say I'm not worried that this is it.Kaboom!
I do however expect to see a Lynch / Frost collaboration Twin Peaks in the near future.

You wouldn't remake a David Lynch film without the uncanny valley, so why the fuck are they remaking a Kathryn Bigelow action movie without style, colour and sex?

That film looks reasonably interesting, but I'm just bemused as to why its called Point Break and is using the same character names Bodie and Utah. Could this film not survive under a different name using different characters? Despite all the skydiving and surfing shots, its clear this is miles away from the original film and it just looks really poor, only because its a remake of a classic film. For me, this will be like the Italian Job remake in 2003. Not too bad a film in its own right, but because its a remake of a classic, it won't be very good.

i think it looks shit in isolation. there is no humour, the colour palette is lifeless and there doesn't seem to be any sort of chemistry between the two leads.

Heard a review saying he is decent, but Cotillard steals the show. Always liked MacBeth, there is no fat on it and each scene moves the story along nicely. I remember seeing one version of it at a theatre here very well where during the blood-washing scene involving Lady MacBeth, there was a nice nip-slip - bonus!!
