If Reading escape the drop, I'd still be going nuts with the league over allowing them to sign players like Smith and Knibbs. They should NEVER have been allowed to assemble the squad they have given what's happened. It's basically cheating someone else out of a league one place. Relegation minimum punishment is what they should get.
It’s even worse when you think that whoever drops is essentially losing out on 1M+ gate receipts and revenue. It’s a disgrace how the league are allowing this, pisstake.

I feel a lot better now, tonight couldn’t have gone any better for us.

Just played the top 3 in a row and come away unbeaten, a much, much kinder March ahead (hopefully!)

The Vale banter era in full swing and actually managed to exceed itself tonight. 2-0 up with a couple of minutes left and manage to choke it. There wasn’t any doubt before but this team is heading to L2. I just hope we can find enough daft c*** to take some of the under contract players off our hands.

Well done to Charlton though, incredible result. Obviously we will now get the backlash and get skull-fucked by them Saturday but even so bravo.

Still a glut of teams well in it at the bottom.

Chelts still need to get a serious amount of wins on the board to stay up, but they're certainly far from adrift.

Vale lacking in new manager bounce thus far.

Fleetwood did very well to force the draw, but they're pretty much gone at this stage.

Cambridge and Burton's form not looking great at the moment, though without looking up who those defeats were against, it may be irrelevant.

We can't over-celebrate one win, but we are edging towards safety, and still have the likes of Cambridge, Vale, Shrewsbury and Carlisle to play. Let's just hope that we don't turn into a bunch of softies who can't be arsed to put a tackle in in case we get injured for the Big Tinpot Wembley Day Out....

We've had Pompey (a), Carlisle (a), Bolton (h), B*ro (h), Stevenage (a) and Bolton (a) next.

Very much a run of weathering the storm, after that things get kinder but certainly not charitable either. There are enough obtainable points there to get over the line with a bit to spare, but it all depends on the obvious really, And I do hope we're in a position not to do something stupid.

Carlisle, Fleetwood and Vale are gone now after tonight, the draw kills both us and Fleetwood really, they need 7 or 8 wins in 11 and we need 6 in 13 which considering we've won 3 in about 28/29 isn't likely to happen. Carlisle need 9 wins in 12 so no chance there.

4th place is right up for grabs though now, Cheltenham still deep in the mire, Charlton should get away to safety now, Shrewsbury, Burton and Cambridge look the likely contenders to fight it out with Cheltenham.

Reading despite deductions have been in decent form so should still have enough.

As I said before. Not a chance these bunch of losers get out of it. Not an ounce of heart or fight in any of them. Every other team is absolutely scrapping for their lives. We're just meekly accepting it. Pathetic.

It does need to turn around for you now but always remember we did a run of 5 wins from 9 games after a run of 4 wins in the previous 30 - very similar position. It is achievable but kinda needs to start very soon.

Charlie Adam still very positive about staying up, great optimism which will serve us well in league 2 next year
We've blown 7/8 points in the last 4 away games where we could easily have won
Still a 1 % chance of staying up

I do think of that. You were dead and buried with 12 to go. But you had fighters and battlers and a couple of half decent players. We've got nothing....our confidence is done.

Well our fans and theirs have a massive love in which is nice but fails to note that we ended up the only side punished for their fans getting a game abandoned! Bonkers. Yes the statue funds are nice and yes we should back them but we never got a game abandoned and affected other sides when we had issues.

I know Portsmouth fans are bitter about them and can sort of see the point.
What makes you think Pompey fans are bitter towards Reading? I actually feel sorry for their fans.

I wouldn't wish expulsion on any club accept maybe stains :)

Problem is we don’t have Port Vale to face for a leg up like Cambridge got!

We've spent a lot more time in this division and the division above. Many years alongside yourselves. So maybe research before posting?
Only 10 of the last 38 years in L2… Only what 6 more than Pompey in that time!

Someone like Fleetwood at home would be perfect....

It's very easy to get drawn into the doomed mindset, and looking for all the hallmarks of a team who'll be relegated, but even if your fanbase just want to ''play the kids! They can't be any worse'' or ''just stick a centre back up top'' or things happen like the other night, that doesn't mean your fate is sealed.

We saw them all last season and then some, and I think you're still in a better spot now than we were when.

And if all else fails, you've got us on the last day!

We couldn't even win Fleetwood at home with a 2-0 lead with 2 minutes to go so have minimal chance. The issue is lack of character and fight, if we were losing but can see us fighting then it would give more hope but theres none, Fleetwood are dead and buried yet kept fighting tooth and nail to get that point which doesn't really help them, we dont have that in us.

This side has the ability but not the character, I have seen far worse Vale sides but they had something about them from a battling point of view.

You did better than us, we didnt even score against them recently and lost 2-0.
You might have a good chance at 3 points on 29/03, we are so leaky in defence even Loft could score.
If we didnt have Chris Martin we would have been right in the shit.

We lost 3-0 the week before to them, not that they are a terrible side but February was sandwiched by two hugely damaging results.

You could have no defence and no goalkeeper and Loft won't score... to think we sold Ellis Harrison to sign him!

We've had no keeper and defence for most of the season!
I hope you get out of it though as Vale reminds me of ourselves, being the unfashionable side in a 2 team City

Us 2 and Notts County need to stick together, hating on the bigger red and white half of the respective cities!
