:ffs:... tonight hasn’t really gone to plan for us. Oxford are in a little trouble though in my opinion. We have them to play still, as well as Oldham. Our failure to win on Saturday when leading three times will probably come back to haunt us. A 92nd min own goal cost us Saturday, if we are relegated by two points I’ll definitely be looking back at that match.

Oh for fucks sake we get to gift you six points from two corners in injury time next year as well.

You are Mr Anderson and this is the sound of inevitability that I hear.

That would take the pain away a little, if we can't have a short trip to Luton then a short trip to Oxford will suit! Plus you can be second best in league 2 again next year:animatedf:

Massive results for us tonight. We need two more wins imo. Can't see Dale making 52 bit who knows. Out next two games away to Walsall and home to oldham

Looks bleak for Northampton. In shocking form at the wrong time. Be amazed if they saved themselves

I don't know why clubs spend any money in this league. As far as I understand, Northampton and Bury had generous budgets this season and yet find themselves cut off at the foot of the table.

We had a generous budget last season and pissed it up a wall with wasters like Emmanuel-Thomas. This year the budget was slashed after sending JET back and selling/releasing our other star players Dack and McDonald. We were favourites to come bottom and yet already have more points than we ended with last season. Weird.

Bizarrely, two of our best players have been Gaby Zakuani (ex Northampton) and Callum Reilly (loaned from Bury in January).

Anyway, I feel for you Eric. Have a soft spot for Northampton after they went easy on us during the last game of last season. Escaping with that point kept us up. Hope you bounce straight back.

No point having money to spend if you give it to bellends to spend.

We'll take the third spot then. Our run in is still awful and we now have our first choice keeper out for the season with a broken hand after punching the bar after conceding one of the Wigan goals. In comes Weiger Sietsma who I believe has only played in one league cup game and then the checkatrade trophy games this season at senior level. We're screwed.

The fact Callum Reilly is getting rave reviews at Gills is like that final kick in the teeth.

Our fans who blame the players ability are so biased and blind. They should be questioning why high pedigree players have been able to perform well elsewhere but terribly at Gigg Lane... be a highly unlucky coincidence if they all turned shite at once. The club is a shambles off the field, the management team is a joke, and this reflects in on field performances.

He's been great. An integral part of our 100% January, and since we've been missing him from midfield we've stumbled a bit. Not that he did a bad job at left back, but we missed him in the middle. Would very much like to keep him on for next season, but we'll have to wait and see on that one.

Badly need to beat Walsall at home tonight, but as both our first choice CBs are injured - Bryan for the rest of the season - we are having to play an 18 yr old and a 19yr old (even though that same partnership played for 75mins at Oxford at the weekend without conceding).

Latics 1-1 Walsall FT

Walsall keeper Roberts’ made 3 worldies in the 2nd half and Nicky Devlin should have seen red, but it wasn’t to be and a draw we have to settle for which is disappointing.

Have to beat Gillingham on Saturday now.

How devlin stayed on the pitch is a mystery. That was gbh right there.

I said if we beat both Walsall and rochdale we will be fine. Not losing was important but it makes the rochdale game much more serious. Could do with going into that with a bigger than 3 point margin

Nicky Devlin and Liam Roberts were immense tonight. Not sure how we got out of that with a point to be honest though.

Don't worry you always do
Other than that Bob Taylor inspired 4-1 win in 99/00, I can't remember anything other than a defeat at Oldham. Always seemingly by a single goal too. Definite bogey side, tend to have trouble with them down here too.

Bury gone, hopefully Oldham follow. Would be great to see Rochdale survive though. Good club and manager.

Second half turn around that possibly saves our league one place. I was miserable as fuck at half time. What football does to you hey.

Well we've finally reached the magical 50

And it's probably not gonna be enough, need to find a win from somewhere just to be sure, Donny and Rochdale have both started picking up results, but are both more likely to be beaten than Wigan and Blackburn, so lets nick one of them 2 and be done with this shite season

Remembering that if we are in the final place, you only need to be on level points because of our atrocious goal difference...

Don't think that will matter because the bottom three are gone. At half time on Saturday, with the way results stood, we pretty much were too - but the way Walsall folded in the second half my money's firmly on them now.

We are still hanging on, nine from three would be preferable but 7 is still an option but I am not holding my breath...:dk: :bye:

No chance 50 keeps you up, even 52 almost definitely won't do it with that goal difference
