Think Charlton will pick dale off on the break.

Shame as I like Rochdale and their manager.

Is now a good time to mention that Bowyer was talking about making changes for today’s game?

Losing a Northern club that plays in blue, or a Northern club that plays in blue...choices, choices

...And only seven miles and a quarter of an hour drive apart. Doesn't exactly happen every day.

Just happy and grateful not to have to care about our result anymore. That Northampton away game this time last year gave me palpitations

Feel sorry for the Oldham fans making the trek to Northampton. What a ridiculous kick-off time, means that they won't be able to make it back home on the train on the same day, unless they leave at half time!

I guess many will be driving there? It's not too bad, about a five hour round trip.

Don’t think they’re wholesale changes, just a handful with the play-offs in mind.

He also says how important it is to keep the momentum going so have no doubt he’ll be picking a side to win the game.

Hmm 4 changes, with 1 up front.

Kaikai who is utter dogshit starts. Feeling a bit anxious now. Hope Bowyer hasn’t fucked this.

Why would you do that when play-offs isn't mathematically assured!?

Yeah, it’s certainly made me more nervous then it should.

To be fair one of the changes is down to an injury so he’s only really ‘resting’ three. It’s the change of formation I don t like. On paper, the side should still be good enough to avoid defeat. We’ll see.

You'd need a six goal swing and I can't see Plymouth hammering Gillingham away. I'd be more concerned with what this does to Rochdale's chances, but if Oldham get the win they need (and with respect to Northampton, they couldn't have picked many better final day opponents) that'll be irrelevant.

Oldham going down after conceding two goals in quick succession at the stroke of half time unless they wake the fuck up and/or Charlton score.

Oldham join the ex Premier league sides in division 4 club. Feel deeply for their fans to drop like that. See you guys next season.

However on the other side of the coin big big praise to Rochdale for surviving, and what a fairytale for Joe Thompson to score the winning goal to keep them up.

That’s what football does.

Oldham were terrible, when Rochdale scored I was expecting an increase in tempo. But no, absolutely no urgency

Perhaps they should change their name to WNBLOA?

Sorry.

The problem was they lost form at exactly the wrong time, playing Walsall, Gillingham, Southend and Doncaster at home and Oxford, Rochdale, Wimbledon and already relegated Northampton away you'd expect at least one win even from a team in their position, they got none and while they're unlucky to go down with 50 points it was in their hands with an easy run-in so they can't have any complaints.

Could see him being used in the Ledson deal?

Possibly, I think Robinson went in for him when he was at Charlton.

Rumours that Ledson has a knee issue and a deal is nowhere near done.

Definitely the right ending. You just knew it was coming when we gave up results all too often.

Walsall and Gillingham are prime examples and it's ironic we do it again on the final day

Yeah, after i sent this I saw that Robinson had backed away from the idea that the move was done.

First I've heard of any knee problem though. He played today. Be a massive shame for the guy if that was to stop him moving up.

Rumour doing the rounds is that he'll need a big operation at some point and the deal is off on the advice of our physio. Really disappointing.

Strange that any sort of medical would be taking place already though.

Knowing PNE we won't have a back up plan and we will piss about looking for a midfielder all summer, again.

Woke up this morning with a banging headache and a realisation of having to go to places like Forest Green next season.

Yesterday’s performance was wholly unsurprising but doesn’t make it any easier to take. As mentioned above; no urgency or fight at all and that’s what’s taken us down over a 46 game season.

Well done to Rochdale. Our performance at your place was a disgrace and you should have beaten us that day.

Checking out of here.
