Probably time to admit we might be involved in this thread. 6 points and -20 gd after 13 games isn't a particularly good start it has to said.

Nor is shipping 31 goals already.

The positive is we aren't bottom.

I don’t even think we will put up a fight. Club is dead on its feet unfortunately. 12-18 months down the line and we could well be looking at going out of business.

Mad how far we have fallen in 3 years. Verge of the championship to this...Dave Allen and Ashley Carson have a lot of answer for, sending the club into oblivion

It is always worth remembering that middle of November we were rock bottom of the league last year and ended up being 90 minutes away from promotion after a trip to Wembley..Don't give up just yet.

That's because you played us. Not won in 539 years? not scored a goal in 38 games? - well, send Mansfield, they'll help you out.

Blackpool were struggling too at this point last season as well weren't they?

Having mildly flirted with this thread, I sense we're now entering a full on relationship.

Finally win away and Chesterfield and Vale go and do the same but better  Good for us to have some others dragged into the mix though.

Crucial win although frustrating FGR and Chesterfield win but we’ve dragged ourselves within touching distance of Morecambe, Barnet and Crawley.

Look a totally different side under Aspin!

I'd say that's more important than anything that there is no longer a huge amount of daylight between the bottom three and the rest. Was starting to look even at this early stage a big job to overcome.

Nice to finally keep a clean sheet tonight. Need to keep it going on Saturday.

Tonight means that there are now more than just 3 teams who should be worried. Morecambe and Barnet in particular after the bottom 3 all won away.

We sounded a level above Morecambe today so gives me hope we can push on and finish above them for a start, Cheltenham also we’re in fine form and we cruised past them.

Believe now in the squad, need to pass 20 points by Xmas and we will be ok.

Barnet will be fine. It's the likes of Crawley, Morecambe and Yeovil who should be worried though there's a long way to go. Cheltenham will be down there too IMO, though I think they'll manage to keep their heads above water, but only just.

We'll no doubt be hovering in around this thread all season, but barring a disaster in January I think we've got enough to stay safe.

Things are hard enough for us without the referee giving the opposition imaginary free-kicks for them to score from...

I think Morecambe are in big trouble here as they usually have a great start which in the end helps keep them up when they inevitably turn to shite mid way through the season, but now they don't have that they could be doomed.

We've won a game.

Moreso, we've had two games in a row featuring actual attempts on the opposition's goal by Chesterfield players. Tonight, some of them even went in the net. A bonus was not having any players sent off or carried off. To cap it all, we went 90 mins without conceding a goal...i know Halloween's not til later this month but this is genuinely scary stuff.

Maybe we've given you all a two month head start?

First signs of a bit of fight, first signs of Jack getting us playing some actual football. By all accounts it was easily the best we have played in some time.

Big game this weekend against Yeovil. Desperately need a win to stop the rot. A couple of players back last night made us more dangerous and should mean we start scoring again

You only played Crawley who will be down there with you...

You'll win, don't worry. We have a clueless manager who gives Westleyesque interviews and has no idea how to set up a team to win a game.

But, we had shots on goal, we didn't concede, we finished with 11 men, we didn't lose. All of which we have done against teams who will be down there with us like Morecambe, Cheltenham etc

It's a start..Jack has 2 wins in 5. Caldwell had 2 wins in 30.
