Other side, read we've taken a fair chunk of our points (not many in total admittedly) having been behind first, which fits with the league position, two thirds if this is the stats in question: http://www.soccerstats.com/table.asp?league=england4&tid=m

The two thirds stat on that table is that you've conceded the first goal in two thirds of your games (29 times out of 43). In those games you've gone on to pick up 16 points (five wins and a draw) so roughly a third of your points overall.

Oops, don't get me to do your tax returns.

Interesting site, that. Been missing something like that since Statto closed down.

Shows how strong we are in second half of games when the first half table is us down in 20th (bottom of the HT away table!).

Also shows that we've spent less time behind than any other side in the division this season at 708 minutes which, along with being fourth on the half-time table, probably go some way to explaining why it feels like we've blown a lot of games late on this year.

Some of the stats on that site make depressing reading. We concede at least one goal in 95% of our away games. Just what you want to see ahead of a must win away game this weekend.

Crewe have always been soft as shit. You can usually bully them whilst they play some lovely stuff. So not surprised to see them regularly throwing away leads. They lack the necessary minerals imo

Some of that’s nice to look at. As in when Notts score first we have never lost and won 19 of 24 games.

If I was a mariner I would still be a bit nervous.

If Morecambe do the business on Tuesday they will be on the beach on Saturday and Barnet will win. Barnet will easily beat Chesterfield on last day so Barnet will finish on 46pts with better goal difference than Grimsby.

Can’t see Grimsby getting at least two points from Notts at home and FGR away.

Grimsby’s only hope is Cambridge to beat Morecambe on Tuesday.

The worm has turned, we are now a better unit all over the park. It may well all turn out bad, but I wouldn't be surprised if we won our last two games. It's between Barnet and Morecambe now. Jolley has installed belief and a system our players needed just in time to save us from relegation.

Not that I'm disagreeing with you but weren't you all moaning about how terrible you were for the final hour against Barnet? Two penalties later and all of a sudden you are a better unit all over the park....?

I was literally just thinking this as I came on the forum.

Despite not liking either team that much, ffs Chessie and Vale sort your bloody act out and relegate those who should not be named.

If either of you two are in the mix for relegation come march I will shave my hair for charity!
Did you have a trim then ?:bye:

Oh Shhhhhhhhhhhhh. Well that was a stupid idea and thanks for bringing it back up.
It will have to wait until the 6 weeks holiday, as a teacher I don't think the kids (under 6s!) would be too happy seeing it, let alone the headmaster!

Our new system is all about getting penalties mate!

We didn't bother with going into the oppositions box until three weeks ago, was a waste of time and energy to be honest. Now look at us, three penalties in three games.

To be honest it’s just refreshing to be on the positive side of a dodgy decision for once. Still raging about how much shite we got in the Conference and I’m glad to see us finally ‘come around’ as everyone’s been promising.

So, Morecambe will be on the beach but FGR won't because?

Neither side will be easy at home but unless Morecambe don't secure safety tonight, neither side will be exactly desperate to win either.

Believe me, Morecambe certainly won't be on the beach when money is tight and new contracts will be up for discussion in two weeks time. They might be as ultra-defensive as usual but that doesn't mean they don't work hard...

Morecambe may have saved themselves with that point, however thats Chesterfield gone. Sorry for all the Spireites on here. Grimsby still have work to do.

Despite all the constant shit they gave us when we went down I’m going to wish chesterfield all the very best, as you’ll need it.

You think you’ve seen things bad in the league, you’ve absolutely absolutely no idea, what awaits you, you cant comprehend. You’ve no idea. You might or might not be replaced by a side which averages 652.

So if Barnet fail to beat Morecambe, it's curtains for them.

Would take a lot for Grimsby to fuck it up now I feel, can see a draw happening in the Morecambe game though which will keep both Northern sides up.

It wouldn’t take much for Grimsby to fuck it up actually but remaining confident. Morecambe losing would have helped massively.

Commiserations to Chesterfield. A double relegation cannot be a nice feeling at all.

Commiserations to all the Chesterfield fans on here. Real shame to lose a good traditional club like them. Here's hoping you're back quickly.

Be absolutely gutted if we get Fylde in place of Chesterfield tbf.

Commiserations Spireites. I remember playing you three years ago on Easter Monday in League One, going to the Proact for the first time and seeing fans all in Chesterfield shirts, a smart new stadium with other revenue streams, a bright young manager and a bright young team play some of the best football I've ever seen against us. How you only beat our pathetic side 1-0 that day I'll never know. A couple of our fans were so impressed that day they said that Chesterfield were setting an example for clubs of our size by doing things the right way.

Just like Tranmere and Leyton Orient before you, you too, have experienced a very sharp decline and it's very sad to see. Hope you bounce back as soon as possible.

We don't look like scoring at all, we huff and puff and just look lost in the final third. I'm very worried about Saturday, we've given Barnet a massive hope now. Cambridge nearly stole it right at the death as they had one saved off the line. If Callum Lang wasn't playing for us, we'd have been already relegated.
