yep - you sound like a total dick.
South Cumbria - just below the Lake District.
We train at Hopwood Hall in Rochdale though.
think Carlisle and it takes about the same amount of time to get to Barrow

Oh wow that far north. Great part of the world, hoping that you get promoted now :)

I'm going to sound like a total dick here, but i haven't got a clue where Barrow actually is. I know its up north and suspect its somewhere around Rochdale?

In fairness it’s alright to have lack of geographical knowledge of a different area of the country. I genuinely believed Swindon was in Oxfordshire until last season.

I think most Barrow fans are torn about who gets relegated - IF we come up it will be nice to have matches against Carlisle and Morecambe - but it would also be nice to be a league above them. What would radio sheep dip do if Barrow were in the EFL and Carlisle were in the National League??? Other than that agreed - Stevenage out (IF Macc somehow survive)

I watched Barrow a handful of times last season and I can see Ian Evatt has got you playing some good football, but I just think the bubble will burst at some point. Barrow really is a horrible part of the world to! Surely discussions must have taken place on what you will you need to improve on the stadium next season.

For me, I think it's a three horse race who will finish bottom. I think Stevenage will just have enough about them now Westley has returned to get them over the line.

Morecambe - Against Crewe, they were easily the worst side I've seen this season BUT I think they will start to grind out some results once Adams can bring in some of his own players. I don't think he would have taken on such a massive challenge he if hadn't been promised something in January. Will be a BIG month for them in January.

Oldham - Uninspired managerial appointment and an owner who likes to chop and change when he sees fit. Oldham are in free fall and I predicted they would go down when two places were up for grabs. I think David Jones will turn out to be an astute piece of business but they just seem to be plodding along without really moving clear of the relegation places.

Macclesfield - From what I have heard, Macc look a half decent side, it's off field problems that good cause them to drop, especially if any more points are deducted. If they can stop the players from walking, they should stay clear of the drop.

Good to see a couple of last seasons Valiants side who struggled at this level doing it for you.

Real nice club barrow. Their fans always travelled decently well for the size of the club and the distance.

I think things would remain as they are given that even a division below you we'd still have the larger listener base, the main difference would be you'd no longer be on the internet broadcast due to broadcasting rights and we'd get that instead. You've really no reason to complain either way though, how many other teams in Leagues One and Two, let alone the National League get full live radio coverage of every fixture?

Most EFL teams surely do? On a Saturday Radio Stoke have Vale, Stoke and Crewe on live.

Ah right, didn't realise it was possible to have more than 2 games on... one on FM, one on AM. That's how Radio Cumbria do it so I assumed that Radio Stoke would have Stoke on FM and then Crewe and Vale having to share AM or somesuch.

Looking at Radio Manchester's schedule. They aren't even broadcasting any 3pm kick-offs, just broadcasting ManU at 5pm.

That's a BBC Radio region with only three professional teams though, so you're much in the same situation as Radio Cumbria with two teams. Radio Manchester have eight.

Probably a few more league teams get their own radio coverage than I'd expected though, I didn't realise there were so many radio stations. I'd heard of the ones like Three Counties, Southern Counties and Solent that seem to cover quite large areas and assumed Cumbria was fairly unique in having its own county radio because it was so big and remote and wouldn't really belong in radio Lancashire, Yorkshire or Newcastle but looking online it looks like counties like Shropshire, Wiltshire, Devon, Northamptonshire etc all have their own stations too.

Seems a bit mean-spirited of the Beeb to then dump the majority of Wales and a large part of Scotland into single stations

Radio Glos do Gloucester Rugby on FM, FGR on AM and us on DAB. If Gloucester aren't playing then they put whoever's away from home out of us and FGR on FM as well.

Which they did while we were still non-league too, so despite the useless commentary we should be grateful.

Humberside have us, Scunny and Hull, they usually do whoever is away on FM, one on AM and other on t'internet. Also have Rugby too so that can sometime push football onto net as well.

Well I think all bets are off now. Well done to Morecambe, Stevenage etc. on surviving another season

Yep, sadly, it seems it's game over (for the league, for now, come season end) for Macc. Not quite fair, not quite right, but there it is.

Oldham, Stevenage and Morecambe should maybe chip in to help them out.

Even with Macc’s Points deduction (even if they get docked another 6) I still think if we don’t have a productive January we’re down. The team is in free fall, performances have been getting worse. Pressley’s work is really coming to fruition now, the green shoots as he called them are rearing their ugly heads, only they are rotten to the core. We need at least 3 possibly more really good signings in January that will hit the ground running to survive.

you'll get out of it - you (nearly) always do - maybe just sent your keeper up for every corner....

I will find something else to do this weekend then.
Shoddy, sounds like a thread in its own right. What will you be doing today instead of watching Barrow on TV? I have my own tweak, instead of listening to Argo on the radio I shall be sawing up some wood with the replacement bowsaw I just bought.

Well I think I was going to move my keys to a new keyring... that should fill most of the glaring void in the middle of my afternoon. If I still have some time after doing that then I'll rearrange my bookshelf.

No, Swindon is in Oxford's pocket ;-) (That should ruffle a few feathers).

I was genuinely fearing for Crawley. Averaging 2 goals against in every game and our results against the teams below us ( apart from Orient) ain't been great. The appointment of Yems, his avowed pragmatic approach and our ability to score (sadly missing in the last two games) should see us safe.

Please don't let Barrow up. Nothing against them. They just rank as some of the very worst football games I've had the misfortune to watch.

you need to watch some of our highlights this season... Dagenham fans forum said watching us was like watching a "1970's Brazilian National team" when we won there.
