We seem to have escaped away after looming in the mire after a torrid december. Only 7 points clear so not safe at all though.

What are his strengths?! We need lawyers looking into see if Barnsley can be forced to have him straight away.

Running in behind, chasing down, pressing - that's about it for me. Technically a very poor player as seen by his miss today and in general play very poor. Strange decision to start him infront on his own today.

Blackpool are going to crash this thread depending on the number of points the EFL takes off them as They are in receivership.

I've been hearing it may be 12 points, which would put them in sixteenth place but just a loss away from entering the relegation zone.

All newcomers are welcome to this thread, if anything, the more the merrier.

Sometimes you have to cut off a limb to remove the cancer. Be decent to see Bloomfield Road packed at the next possible opportunity.

2 wins from 3 has markedly improved our situation! Got a great chance over the next month to put some proper daylight between ourselves and the drop zone too - could be almost safe come the start of April. On the flip side, lose to the teams around us and we're back in it again.

Still relatively confident we'll finish about 16th.

2 long overdue wins on the bounce vs Posh and Donny have certainly helped matters and with Wimbledon, Rochdale and Plymouth the next 3 games hopefully we can get some momentum going and pick up a few more points towards to 50ish point safety target

Looking at the bottom of league I predict that 50 points will be enough to stay up this year, possibly even as low as 48 but time will tell.

Suddenly mega tight down the bottom. Just 4 points separating Southend, who I didn't think would be anywhere near this thread, in 13th place and Bristol Rovers in 21st.

Next 2 games are massive for us with Oxford and Bristol rovers at home, win both and looking much rosier but lose and were deep in trouble

When Gillingham scored 1 goal they moved up 7 places

3 of our next 4 games are against Scunthorpe, Gills & Plymouth.

This is gonna be really close

Usually someone comes out of no where and ends up challenging for promotion, it looks like the opposite will happen this season.

Can see Wycombe getting pulled right into it. Had a decent season but have tailed off of late. Them plus the current bottom three for me.

Gary Bowyer until the end of the season, will be announced as the new manager later.

Just looked at the table and noticed Bristol Rovers are sat in 21st on 37 points with only -2 goal difference.

Rochdale, 3 points and a place behind, have -32 GD.

That's actually ridiculous ffs

Think Wycombe have just about done enough and their fixture list doesn’t look too bad, think they’ll still pick up a few more points here and there.

I said after our game against Accrington that they would eventually end up down there, just looked at their fixture list and I think they’ll go with the current bottom 3. They still have to play a couple of the teams at the bottom who will start scrapping for their lives and still face 5 of the top 6

We have certainly entered this thread now. It's not been helped by the fact we've played Luton, Charlton, Donny, Pompey and Barnsley since the end of Jan. I'm not panicking yet I think 50 points will be enough I'm still backing us to achieve that with more easier games on paper approaching.

So Keith Hill has gone from Rochdale. Could be good timing for the new manager effect.

We’re in course to be the first team to be relegated with a positive goal difference

Bit harsh on Hill if the result on Saturday has tipped the balance. Got his tactics pretty much spot on I thought in terms of stopping us from playing and frustrating us.

Would think he would be the best man to try and get them back up if they do end up going down.

Looks like you’re getting 3 from Lincoln bury Mansfield and MK then whoever finishes 4th out of them lot with well almost anyone else atm from 15th upwards from the playoffs

Would be great if Rochdale could stop up!

From the outside I don't understand the Hill sacking. Only man in the last five decades to win promotion for Rochdale and he's done it twice. Kept them in League 1 for years when it's above their normal level. Now not even given until the end of the season. Can't see why Saturday would have been the final straw either, losing only 2-0 away at the league leaders (with the second goal only coming in injury time when they were down to 10 men).
