Looks like you’re getting 3 from Lincoln bury Mansfield and MK then whoever finishes 4th out of them lot with well almost anyone else atm from 15th upwards from the playoffs

Would be great if Rochdale could stop up!
As an East Midlander I'd be delighted with yourselves, Lincoln and MK Dons - all fairly easy trips and we've not played you or Lincoln for donkies years. That's if we don't go up of course...

Anyone from Wycombe down could still crash this party.

This is the maddest relegation battle I've seen since the 2012-13 Championship season when Peterborough went down with a record 54 points. If everyone keeps beating one another in that scrap it's quite possible someone could break that record this season!

We are about 6th in form table for last 6 games and still rock bottom. The mid table teams are getting sucked in.

In our last 5 we've won 3, drawn 1 and lost 1, with all 3 wins coming with clean sheets. We've hit form at just the right time, and with Bristol Rovers, Rochdale and Wimbledon to play this month we have a great chance to pull free. Should be a decent game against the Gas on tuesday - both sides getting some results of late.

How far up the table do we all think the relegation battle is ?
13th?
It’s insane this year. We are 11th and 8 points from the play offs and yet only 8 from The bottom four. I never know whether to look down or up.
I think it will go to the last day. And Wimbledon are not doomed either.

Worrying times for us with some very abject performances lately. A loss tomorrow would be absolutely awful and probably put us in the bottom four. Once we're in there, I don't see us getting out again.

Every one from Wycombe in 12th is in this relegation battle, a few weeks ago I was wondering how we were going to get out of it but a few games later and were up to 13th and looking like we're hitting form at the right time.
Don't think i have ever seen a relegation battle with so many teams still involved at this stage of the season

Absolutely no chance, our record against you lot at GP is shocking well over 20 years could be nearly 30 since we've won there.

Our keeper hasn't made a save the last two games and we've lost them both. Not a chance we will score you only need one shot to win.

With the right set of results we can be 7 points clear of the drop zone with only 9 games left. Big night.

Can't see AFC, Walsall or Bradford getting much from their games, but other than that it's so, so hard to call. Lots of draws and a Gills win would be marvellous.

Not sure why we wouldn't have a chance of a result. In much better form recently than Posh. Obviously we'll lose now I've said this, but there's an outside chance we get off the bottom tonight.

We are actually fucked. We are gonna be the ones who go down from being relatively safe

A few weeks ago, we were 10 points off safety, now we're just 4. We're third in the form table, in the mix with Luton and Coventry whilst quite a few of the teams around us are in freefall. Can we do it? Possibly, but it's the hope that kills you.

Noooo. Its the hope the spurs you on. Turns to belief. Youd rather fight and fail on gd in the last minute of the last day than be relegated by Easter and have zero momentum or hope for next season and drop thru again.

Yep whatever happens I'm confident if we drop we would be a play Off team next season but maybe just maybe. Who knows

Cracking win, 3 on the bounce! We weren't at our best & neither were Gillingham but at this point, the result is all that matters. Only took us 20 years to win at Gillingham away!

This is crazy, and exciting. We are twelfth, but only five points off the drop.

Not the greatest of games last night but a win is a win. First ten minutes we were on fire and could easily have scored three or more. Then it all calmed down a bit. First half Salop were poor, almost at a Rochdale level poor, except Whalley and Grant (42?). Second half we went to a back three and suddenly we looked awful, and the blue and ambers were back in the game. Norburn, who I don’t remember doing much when down here, suddenly became dominant and our defence looked very very dodgy. Only once we changed the formation again and brought Threlkeld on at right back did we settle down again.
Too far away to judge Salop’s penalty, but it is not the first silly one in the same way that Carey has given away this year, so I suspect it was nailed on. As to our near injury time pen, what was the defender thinking, he essentially landed on the back of Lamerias as he was controlling and turnn with the ball. Effectively he sat on him in the penalty area. Really.

In truth a draw would have been a fair result, but boy am I relieved we got all three.

Pretty dire game settled by a moment of magic. Knowing us we'll go and get something at Luton on Saturday...

Yep, typical relegation logic tbf.

After winning 3 on the bounce, scoring 6 goals, conceding 0 in that time - we'll lose 7-0 against Charlton on Saturday

Blimey all the nutters that had money on us when we were bottom to finish top half at very long odds could well win 2 seasons in a row.

Southend look bolloxed. Dons gaining momentum. It's gonna be an interesting one!

5th highest wage bill in league 1, pending new stadium which is never going to happen, Roots Hall well past it's use by date, massive debt to owner.. Going down could cause us some real harm and is a frightening thought, though, if we shift out a bit of deadwood and kept the majority of the side - with the players we have coming back from injuries next season we could have some side in League 2.

Surely if you have such as high wage bill and you have a lot less income in league two, you are in danger of losing the foliage and being left with the deadwood? Do you have a Board that can take the financial hit, and pump cash in?

Absolutely not which is why I said it is genuinely frightening the thought of us going down as what you have said is more likely than my if, but and maybe outcome of us storming league 2 next season.

How much is down to Powell and what went wrong for him? Seemed to be a much better manager than he's showing now.
