Morecambe can be added to this thread.

Considering we have spent most of the last decade playing the likes of Newcastle and Leicester this is a really interesting eye opener. This league has a myriad of really awful teams that, despite ourselves having by far the worst manager in the world we continue to rape our opponents.

Crewe have been the only good side we've played so far.

Mansfield, Crawley, Cambridge, Yeovil and Morecambe.... unbelievably bad. Hell we don't even have a defence at the moment with Alcock, Baudry, Lund and Richardson all injured.

Morecambe always find a way to stay out of the relegation thread... usually it seems by making a strong start.

How did you manage to play Newcastle, etc so often? Also, how can you say we were unbelievably bad? You haven't played us yet. The Tinpot Trophy thing doesn't count (reserve teams etc). Not that we WON'T be unbelievably bad, just saying.

I cannot believe we were linked with Shaun Derry this time last year.

Better than Ferguson, no doubt but he's still awful.

Oh come on ffs. I don't like Fergie but to say Derry is better than him is absurd. You lot wouldn't be second in the table if he's that bad.

He managed to get one of the best teams in the division last season relegated.

Considering our squad anything other than the title would be a disgrace.

The man is someone we laugh at, we chant for the team.

That's what I thought last year, but a lot of L1 fans in the shoutbox assured me I was mistaken. IIRC, I was asking around as I was thinking of including Donny in my little acca, and I said you lot had one of the best squads in L1 but the other guys all said you were only a lower midtable side. So I dunno Hooped.

Neither side played their first team. The age of the scorer is irrelevant and the final element of your post does not deserve a comment.

Not sure whether looking for this thread in early October is a sign of progress.

Exeter and Newport, 2 out of the next 3.

Well I have my feet up, telly on and a map of the quickest route by train to Solihull Moors open on my computer.

Well and truly at home in here.

Newport were beyond awful today, but we were just as bad. Worst, most boring 90 minutes I have ever sat through, absolutely appalling from both sides. Doncaster and Plymouth away in our next three, October will prove to be a disastrous month.

Formally checking in. We've now gone 360 minutes without a goal, and have only registered 1 in 6 games, taking 1 point in the process.

Even though we have a half decent side on paper, the atmosphere at the club is toxic.

We are now genuine relegation candidates.

I'm sure that over the course of the season there will be at least two shitter teams than Orient. I've just never seen a club get relegated from this division with decent players before because no matter how shabbily they've been cobbled together there'll always been two or three clubs with crap players shabbily combined.

I have. Our squad that went down in 2000/2001 was mostly the team that was assembled for a fortune and led the table the season before.

Saw on your forum someone saying they thought you have one of the best teams on paper.

I only recognised half of the names and I'd agree that Cisak, Kennedy, Massey and Simpson are good players but the rest are a combination of lower league journeyman including Atangana who wasn't good enough for us and played in the Conf South before that.

No way that Leyton Orient go down even with their owner (who I hope they can get rid of ASAP) but I can't see them anywhere near the top 7.
