I'm okay with it; there's next to nobody I'd keep.
Phillips, Coker, Lewis, Wynter, Finney & Turgott are the only players I'd like us to keep. Even then I don't think we have chance in keeping Finney, Coker or Wynter....they will get better offers elsewhere in my opinion.

First one out of the door at EP..........Bohan Dixon.

Christ what a terrible footballer!

He must have gone right down the pan as he Dixon. I remember him being a thorn in our side in the 4-1 thrashing down at Fylde.

Can’t see how ours will be out any time soon with us having no manager. I’d get rid of the lot personally if it was legal

Wouldn't mind us picking up Jordan Nicholson. Whenever I saw him play for Nuneaton he looked like a decent player for our level.

He was so lightweight. Looked way out of his depth in league 2

I'm happy with the clubs choices. First team regulars kept and if Akinde goes then some money to strengthen.
Be sad if he does go as he has served us well.

Without Akinde who is going to win all your penalties?

What would you have said Nicholson's natural position is? Seen him play basically everywhere across the front line. We'll probably end up needing some wingers so if he's natural there I'd take him.

Time for us to join the party - we’ve released Cheye Alexander, Jim Kellerman, James Rowe, Josh McQuoid, Bobby Joe Taylor and Tim Schmoll.

I'm shocked that we have got rid of Alexander and Kellerman yet seem to have offered McClure and Gallagher deals!

I wouldn't be surprised to see Bobby Joe rock up back at Maidstone. Heck he was at our last 2 home games, which i thought was rather odd. Surely even if your not playing you should be at your current club watching the game.

Was Alexander out of contract? Only thing I can think is that he’s off to a League side, because he’s probably one of the most competent players I’ve seen this season.

All apart from McDonnell and Fowler were - the 6 released have just not been offered a new deal, which in Alexander and Kellerman's case is hard to understand. Two players that will be good signings for any playoff chasing side.

Aldershot cutting their cloth accordingly?

Hopefully Sam Ricketts knows Kellerman from his time at Wolves.

He played on both the left and right during his short time here. Very lightweight, lost the ball every time he was closed down, lost every 50/50, and even on the occasions where he had time and space he didnt look technical enough to pose any kind of threat.

I'm sure he's decent at NL North level, but an absolutely shocking signing for January deadline day when we really needed some quality.

Alexander and Kellermann likely going to FL clubs - their decision to leave.

Sounds like they have told Waddock they dont want to stay and thats why they were "released" so sorry Orient and Wrexham fans I doubt they are coming your way!

Not strictly relevant to this thread, but Ollie Banks was released by Oldham today. If by some miracle we win on Saturday, I reckon we will sign him.

As good a player as Alexander is, we really don’t need him. Don’t really remember Kellerman, though it would be basically impossible for him to not be an improvement on Craig Clay. Have no idea what to expect from Orient this summer, except missing out on Ebou Adams to Yeovil’s bench.

We've got 4 Full backs under contract anyway, so I can't see us going for another one.

We're likely to reinvest in our front line this summer by signing 2 possibly even 3 strikers and binning all the others off apart from Bonne if he stays.

As for Alexander, I was very impressed with him each time I saw him, so inevtitable that someone a league higher as taken a punt on him, as its the way it works down here when you have a good young player innit.

A little surprised Akinde's been transfer listed. Doesn't sound like he's pushed for it to happen and not many club's decide to transfer list a proven striker in the league they're going to be in.

I'm assuming by Allen's comments i.e. a joint decision, that he's staying next season?

Callum Howe has been transfer listed by Vale, having bought him from us at the end of January.

Would be a capable signing for most NL sides, I imagine. Seemed to perform well at Southport and Eastleigh on loan from us.

Talk about falling out of a tree and hitting every branch on the way down. Can't recall many players going out on loan from a Premier League club and falling down the divisions with each loan spell.

Next stop National League South.

Some big surprises on our list:

Players Under Contract Retained:
Steve Arnold
Joel Dixon
Grant Holt

Players Offered A New Deal:
Moussa Diarra
Nathan Waterston
Donovan Makoma

Players Under Contract Made Available For Transfer:
Asa Hall
Dan Jones
Jordan White
Bedsente Gomis
Jack Barthram

Players Released:
Harry Panayiotou
Thierry Audel
David Fitzpatrick
Bradley Bauress
Tony Diagne
Byron Harrison

So Holt is most likely to just be a coach next season, and I'd say Diarra might turn us down - that could be down to four players, including two keepers!

Asa Hall has played well of late but is a big earner, Dan Jones is probably our star player, and Bedsente Gomis just got player of the year - on the face of it, this is a big cost-cutting exercise.

Not arsed about any of the released players, or Jordan White and Jack Barthram being put up for sale.

I could see Dan Jones name coming up on Hignett's shortlist. He'd give Blair Adams a bit of competition at left back and can also cover at centre half. He was mostly decent for us in his first spell here and was a little unlucky to get moved on.
