has Amos been alright for you? Always thought he was an absolute bomb scare.

There are a few goals he's conceded where he could have done better position wise, but he's been decent on the whole.

I actually agree with Lamby :eyes:

He’s not perfect but has been pretty steady. I’ll admit he looked gash for the first month or so and I was thinking why on Earth we bothered with this bloke but he got better and has become one of our better performers, which doesn’t say much about the rest of our wasters.

That said, still think Dillon Phillips is better and should be our number 1.

Club to make announcement tomorrow.

He’s gone.

I really don’t care about him but this club is on its knees and it breaks my heart.

Seriously hope Charlton can get rid of this c*** not just for their fans but the good of football. Not just them either; the likes of Blackpool and Coventry as well. The Football League "fit and proper persons test" needs totally overhauling I don't know the process involved but it's obviously not working.

Clubs like Newcastle and Blackburn make me laugh as well protesting against their owners(although we could be heading down that path soon) due to lack of investment, which they may not have much power over if they can't afford it. There's a difference between not being able to afford to compete with the best and asset stripping and/or taking huge amounts if funds out of a club.

The FAPP test has been overhauled, but it was done fairly recently I think, so after Roland got his mits on Charlton.

How wouldn't he pass the fit and proper test? You have no clue what's going on and are taking the side of bellend protestors.

In the early-mid nineties I lived in the borough of Greenwich and Charlton were widely considered to be a great community club the feeling, even from residents who did not go to the Valley or even interested in footie, was overwhelming positive. In the early 2000s a Charlton executive came down and mentored Argyle on how to do things well in the local community. I doubt very much that such an overture would be welcomed now.

You'e so Brexit

Shhhhhhhhhhhhh..... don't mention anything.... you know..... E-u-r-o-p-e-a-n. It's a dirty word to Dan.

The likelihood of there being any rich Brits in the future, at least, willing to put money into the country, is somewhat remote.

As for Charlton parting the ways with Karl Robinson, well, it was obvious he didn't want to stay and the team clearly weren't responding to his leadership and footballing philosophy (?) so perhaps it's for the best.

Lee Bowyer and Johnnie Jackson as Caretakers..? Well, at least they're both "Charlton" men. Bowyer developed through the Valley youth system before going to Leeds and Jackson has made more than 250 appearances for the club.

A decent result against Plymouth yesterday isn't a bad start. Funny isn't it, how results tend to improve immediately after a manager leaves.

Pompey vs Oxford live on Sky now. Oxford fans get an immediate chance to see what they've got themselves.

Cor blimey, guvnor. Lend us a farthing so I can buy me some gruel. This Brexit lark has landed me, and mine, in the workhouse, don’t you know. Hope Bangladesh can send us some aid money, cos we ain’t got a dime. Me clothes are rags and the youngest has got consumption - not helped by the 18 hour shift up the chimneys.

Well, I gotta go now. Got matches to sell.

Wouldn't be good for you lot, but you couldn't blame either for just pulling out that would teach him a lesson.

He’s been stringing these Aussies along for months, can’t believe they’re still hanging around. I suppose on a positive note for us it shows they are keen and really want to buy us. The Englishman they reference is rumoured to be Paul Elliott who has been involved with parties interested in taking us over before.

Local press today reporting that this Aussie consortium are set to pay £35m for the club, Roland bought it in 2014 for around £20m.

Say what you like about the bloke, and I do but you can see why he’s a multi-millionaire businessman.

Buys a mid table Championship club for £20m, strips it of all it’s assets and pockets the cash, sticks it on the market as a midtable League One club and gets an extra £15mil for it. That takes a certain amount of genius.

Horrible old cnut.

Can’t seem to find anything for his first year but looks like a loss of £3.78m in 2015, £13.5mil in 2016 but made a profit in 2017 through player sales.

Can’t have taken much of a hit financially, but hopefully his reputation is in tatters.
