Askey is finally available to take the job hes applied for god knows how many times.
When a club is on the slide, the problem is most often to be found in the boardroom, not the dugout. #ProTipAskey would be the dream appointment for me, maybe he leapt too far in going from Macclesfield to Shrewsbury, would he come back to non league so quickly, who knows.
I can see Phil Brown being interested, recently binned off from Swindon and we'll be linked with the same names that are always linked every 6 months we sack a manager, Lee Clark, Martin Gray, Ronnie Moore, Alun Armstrong, Ainsley at Spenny, that baldy scouser who gets linked to every job going Breadbin?
I'm honestly not that arsed who we appoint, we've tried young and old, mega experience and zero experience, we've tried every sick note ex Boro player and they've all contracted the Pools CURSE and turned out shite.
Edit: When I say not that arsed, that's anyone apart from Martin Gray and his shit eating grin.
What's happened to Mike Fondue?Mid-table bliss incoming and promotion aspirations over. Even sooner than last season which is very pleasing. Pressure off, thank god. Well done to all.

Yeah, like Jamie Vardy. What's Wrexham's level? Louis Moult.Good start but has became fairly clear that he is in fact crap. Halifax level, as most of us suspected when he signed.
Like I said, the boardroom. We've had four totally different owners since 2015, yeah let that sink in.
It's the CURSE, nothing else.
Most of the ex league clubs are down here for that reason. We were a total basket case a few seasons before dropping into none league and you can say the same about leyton orient, Chesterfield and hartlepool. Could be worse though. .. see Stockport, York and that club 12 miles down the road from us.Like I said, the boardroom.
How come Wrexham keep losing managers ? From the outside, it seems there is a naivety on their board with the way contracts are negotiated. Ricketts was offered a three year deal, yet leaves within six months.
Decent managers at National League level are not generally that much in demand higher up; we kept hold of Mellon and Grimsby held on to Hurst long enough to escape, to give two examples. Or have Wrexham just been unlucky with circumstances ?
There's an upcoming manager in the Welsh League seems to be doing quite well as of late...

ER has answered the question was going to ask.
Unusual for a Club to lose a manager when well placed in the league in consecutive seasons.
Askey or Hurst the standout choices? Both would probably fit in seamlessly as both had sides who were solid defensively, which is what you already have, and both didn't have particularly high scoring sides either.
