Big relegation 6-pointer for us at Whaddon Road.

Cheltenham will rightly see this as a highly winnable fixture given a) our dogshite league form and b) our exertions in the Tinpot only yesterday.

For us it's a crucial game in advance of an absolute stinker of a set of February fixtures against a bunch of top 10 sides.

Must-win games between poor teams often tend to end in a draw - which I guess I'd take, but who knows.

Biggest game of the season for us I would say, its a must not lose game.

Could be in the bottom 4 by kick off so the Reading game will probably dictate the pressure on it but could be bottom 4 come 5pm or could be 6 points clear going into 2 home games with 2 games in hand so it feels pivotal.

Fleetwood winless in 14, terrible home record losing 10 of 14 what could possibly go wrong....

We tend to be the gift you need when in distress and simply can't afford to be here.

Lack of strikers an issue to today is crucial but a loss here and think it will turn very toxic... we have had a habit of pulling a rabbit out when Crosby looks in deep trouble though, a performance like last weekend and we lose this, hopefully this is one of those inconsistent better performances and we get a result.

Think it will be 1-1 though and do neither side much good.

Northampton at home for us. On paper this is our most difficult fixture of the month unless Charlton get their act together. Looks like Moxon and McIntyre will be handed their debuts.

The reverse fixture saw us put in our best performance of the season, so I'd like that again if possible!

I expect a war of attrition and some heavy tackles with both sides cancelling each other out.
Can see a draw. 1-1 perhaps.

I think we are accepting the inevitability of relegation, Marriott and Vela have departed, both being on high wages ( especially Marriott ) no signings coming in. Encouraging performance last week but thought of our home record leaves one cold. We are overdue a home win, let's be honest a win of any kind, and while there is optimism around a draw looks likely. Still a faint heart never won a fair lady, so 2-1 to the Cods
Oh yes, the real bummer I am missing the game going to a birthday bash at PNE match against QPR, can't be any worse than Highbury - surely?

Burton for us, a ground we don't generally fare well at. They're similar to us in the sense that they'll be looking at February as a chance to get points on the board.

O'Connor is back from suspension, Bishop will probably miss out through injury but the bigger news is that Ben House might be fit enough to get a space in the squad, which is a huge boost. In the space of a month we've gone from having eleven out injured or suspended to only three (two of which are long term ones anyway).

We've put in two good performances against Derby and Posh but need to be a little more clinical in the final third now we're actually creating some chances.

This game is a must win for us. It's no good going to Bolton and Derby, being the better team and losing before failing to turn up at home to teams we're hoping to rope in.

There's a lot of negativity following yesterday, but we haven't actually made that much difference to the first 11 - those who started against Derby are all still at the club and the players signed yesterday were more reinforcements than anything else (yes - I'm trying to put a positive spin on things).

We're apparently set to announce a signing today as well - I won't hold my breath though.

We’re one of the lowest scorers in the league, we usually win games 1-0.

With Dan Agyei likely done for the season we won’t have the same impact we’ve had for the last 6 weeks.

We’re going into the final half of the season with only 3 recognised centre half’s after Ed Turns was sent to Crewe.

Managed to keep hold of Idris El-Mizouni though which is huge for us.

We now have by my counting 7 attacking players at our disposal:

Theo Archibald, Ollie O’Neill, Ruel Sotiriou, Joe Piggott, Kaydon Edwards, Dan Adu-Adjei and Dan Agyei if he isn’t injured.

I reckon we brought in an extra one as Agyei is injured as we’re far too top heavy there now.

Paul Hurst’s first home game back and the atmosphere should be electric in the safe standing section. I know of a few who are going who haven’t been for a while just because Hurst is back. I bought my ticket earlier this week but unfortunately I’m currently bed bound with the flu. Looks like I’ll be watching on iFollow instead which I’m gutted about.

After watching the highlights and reading the match reports from other Salopians, seems like we should have stuck five or six past Northampton last weekend instead of just the two. We’re not a bad team but still crazy to think we played that good away from home after just two training sessions with Hurst & Doig. Confidence is high and I’ve never been so confident in a home win in a long, long time. (6/4 odds for a Salop win tomorrow is ridiculous value).

Completely agree. Ill be there with a few others but going purely out of hope rather than expectation. I was hoping we would get at least another CM this window as putting Leonard back there means we miss out massively on his ability to pick a pass further forward.

Pompey absolutely shredded us at San Sixfields with a few of their places looking really high level, especially the midfielder on loan from Man City. I would happily take a draw but see a 3-0 loss incoming tbh.

After a very poor end of December/January we need to get back to winning at home. Northampton are a good side in general, although we did batter them at their place in December. Hoping the new lads can start our revival and pick up a winning run to put the pressure on Bolton and Peterborough abit more.
