Dirty Dancing the Musical is on at the Winter Gardens. The wife loves the film, so it made sense to be honest.
Jump on the short train to Lytham if you want a decent restaurant.

So Pack is confirmed out for 4-6 weeks which is a blow for us. How big a blow that will be will depend on how Ben Stevenson steps up. I've not yet seen enough of him to make a judgement yet, but at least Kuseni Yengi is available for selection tomorrow after over a month out.

It'd be nice not to go 1-0 down for a change, tomorrow. But any win will do. I'm looking forward to seeing how good Arblaster is given how Vale fans wax lyrical about him, especially with our midfield looking on the light side.

Even in our recent defeats, he's probably been our best player. He's only young, so he might have a couple of poor games but in general he is class.

Having said that, Bolton moaned their bags off all week about being down to the 'bare bones ' etc. and then played us off the park in the first half. Clearly your strength in depth will be similar, so I don't think it'll have a hugely detrimental effect on the team.

Hoping that Chislett is back for this. He's a very clever player (think a poor man's Modric) who we have yet to get anything out of a game when he hasn't played. We signed Alfie Devine who is supposedly the next big thing but he doesn't look anywhere near to me.

If we can scrape a draw I'll be delighted to be honest.

Injuries or not (we have a few ourselves) with your budget it shouldn’t be too much of an issue surely?

Yeah Devine apart from Oxford away hasn’t really lived up to the hype considering he’s won things with England and been involved in Spurs squads, he’s tipped for the top but at the moment Ollie looks quite a way ahead, if you stuck a bet on who’d play for England of the two at the top level then Arblaster every time. The sky is the limit for him if injuries etc are kind to him.

You get those with loans, they come 'highly rated' and are a big let down.
We have had Charlie Colkett and Jake Clarke-Salter from Chelsea who were rubbish.
Last season we had Jarell Quansah from Liverpool who was awful, but is now in Liverpool's squad and getting games - didnt see that coming.
On the flipside none of us had heard of Elliot Anderson and he pretty much carried us into this league and became a legend in 5 months.

Devine has trained with Harry Kane etc every day and you can see he has the vision and brain etc but what he hasn’t adapted to is Arblaster and possibly Wilson aside none of his team mates have that same intelligence as a footballer, Arblaster seems to realise that and plays to that.

Our budget isn't one of the highest in the division (apparently), but it's more the fact that Regan Poole is one of the best centre backs in the division and can't be replaced. I think Sean Raggett will replace him and whilst he's dependable, he always has a mistake in him.

Our midfield missing two of its best players is also an issue. Marlon Pack has massively stepped up this season since taking the captaincy and looked like the player we thought we were getting last season whilst Alex Robertson has been excellent since signing on loan from City. In their place will be two of either Ben Stevenson who hasn't played a single minute in the league, Terry Devlin who is only 19 but has looked good in cameos, Tino Anjorin who clearly has talent but doesn't look match fit or Christian Saydee who is more effective up front.

Don't get me wrong, a draw would be considered a bad result for us in this game but we do have a few issues and Port Vale are one of those teams that look markedly improved from last season and that has to be respected. I'm looking forward to it.

So we’ve sold 4.5k tickets for Bolton tomorrow, but Avanti and Transpennine have tonight cancelled all trains from Carlisle tomorrow which fucks over a lot of people.

Guess it’s the car for us tomorrow now. Feel for the fans who don’t have that choice.

To be fair, that Arblaster stood out against us second half he didn't hide away & was brave on the ball trying to make things happen. Devine on the other hand we were linked with him last Jan so I was interested to see how he faired luckily for us he didn't affect the game . We've been hit & miss with loans we've had three unbelievable ones in Marlon Fossey/James Trafford/Conor Bradley & we've also had standout academy players like Xavier Amaechi/Shola Shoretire/Owen Beck who just didn't cut the mustard at all.

They can be hit and miss, we had everyone raving about Thierry Small when he got him last year and he was sent back by Christmas!

Liam McCarron who actually made a Premier League App for Leeds played at Derby and was pulled half time against FGR and never seen again…

We rarely seem to get any decent loans work out, Politic in the promotion season did well, not so much last season.

Minutes applause from the Vale end starting after 5 seconds for George Andrew’s who died yesterday, good tribute that for the reporter and commentator that most Valiants grew up hearing those great moments and of course the 5 seconds is for his “Bogie Boogie” commentary as we scored the winner against Stoke after a few seconds.

Huge loss with his bonkers suits and personality, great to see so many tributes from ex players etc.

Let’s hope the boys put in a performance for Georgie Boy today. Some of his famous lines will live in club folklore.

Over 600 sold in answer to the question yesterday.

No striker stating again! Defence at the bare bones assuming Lowe is playing at centre half of Grant both midfielders.

No idea who is up front. Only positive is Chislett is back and starts, we’ve lost every game he’s missed.

Feel for the fans who’ve travelled again, 2 defenders and 8 midfielders.

And the flukiest goal of the season award goes to Reading.

Player should've been sent off long before as well.

Very frustrating.

Unfortunately, we are absolute bottlers. Awful own goal to give them the lead, then Garner takes the world's worst penalty despite Moxon and Gibson both being on the pitch and far better penalty takers. Are we trying to get relegated? Yet again, we match the opposition but throw it all away.

Not there so can’t comment but from our twitter and the stats looks like we are dominating the chances but as usual no striker = no goals. Have hit the post though.

Not at our best today. Rovers on top in the first half and we had to defend well. Getting the first goal was important. Mills coming on at half time seemed to change things and we should’ve made things more comfortable second half but were sloppy. Lost our heads a bit in the final 10 minutes, but held on. The ref was very poor, I think both sides will be unhappy with his performance.
It was nice to finally get a home win against Rovers, who have been a real bogey side for us recently.

Shrews away. Dominated the ball, had the best chance, but look sluggish by all accounts. Better second half needed by both teams I imagine will be the managers team talks.

You did the double over us in 2021? I dont think we deserved to lose that one, you only looked threatening after we went down to 10 and were pushing for a goal.
Yep, ref completely shite for both sides. But when are they not shite?

You had won on 7 of your last 10 visits to the Kassam I believe.

as per recent weeks, decent play, wasteful and then inevitably drop a bollock.

Not only have we come from behind, we're actually in front away from home. Surely it can't last?
