Any Harrogate fans on here (or people who’ve been)

Where’s good for a drink the centre?
Harrogate Tap at the station. There’s nothing near the ground. I went into Leeds before but not to one of the most crowded pubs Beckett’s bank..our Twitter retweeted that picture of our fans with the flag too. Sad

So Adams had no input on signings? What a disaster for you guys!

Surely he wouldn't have moved from morecambe without promises of signings and a decent budget?

It's all rather strange mate. Adams clearly responsible for bringing in Threlkeld and Songo'o who have played at other clubs for him.
We have an unusually large amount of ex Scunthorpe players, so presumably Turnbull responsible for that and were lined up before Adams joined.

Our last minute deadline signing, your old favourite, Theo Robinson, was clearly nothing to do with Adams, that was made very obvious in an interview on the night he was signed. He has only been playing because of our injury problems up front since end of August.

The club has since got rid of Turnbull and Adams has brought in 3 scouts who were with him at Plymouth.

Big turnover of players expected in January. Until then we limp on with draws most weeks and fall further behind the top 7

Lee Turnbull is at Pools now, I take it he just signs the same players from his previous clubs, which shite will we be signing off your lot in January?

he also does some of the "expert opinion/co-commentating" on some of the Barrow away games (including at Ipswich last week) - as he was our manager way back in time... he actually comes across as a very intelligent guy.

Our ex captain… found us some gems although he had a little bit of money to spend at the time.

All's not lost then? We've money to spend in January and it's desperately needed, especially up top.

It's a bit easy to lump it all on Turnbull. Whilst he probably recommended the likes of Robinson, Eisa and Gilliead, Adams signed off on all of them. He should be held equally responsible for the poor recruitment. And even then, its not like Songo'o or Threlkeld (undeniably his signings) have been any good. In fact the latter has been one of our worst players this season.

Have to admit when you signed Eisa I did think that was a hell of an addition for Bradford as had always impressed me. Guess it’s been an availability issue with him? I think most Vale supporters thoughts on Theo have been well expressed before so won’t go down that way again.

Good news for Bradford really is there are such slim margins in this league for all of us it won’t take a huge deal to turn it round quickly.

He looked really promising in pre season but has been injured ever since. He didn't have injury problems at Scunthorpe I don't think so its another one for the portfolio of our dreadful medical/fitness departments.

You are welcome to Gilliead and Eisa for starters. In fact, he can take his pick of anyone in our squad, wouldn't miss any of them

can we have Andy Cook back (if he's not got a long term injury)...?

I’d have Gillead back here. And Songo’o maybe. You can have whoever you want in exchange bar Rory Watson.

No Worrall or Rodney today so literally have Dennis Politic as the only attacker available and Garrity as a false 9 again. No wide men at all.

Get battered today.

Nothing really subtle about this. We are going try and scrape a draw from the opening minute. Probably the best we can do given the available players.

Maybe Taylor has been reading the comments of Tranmere fans, as Caprice has been dropped.
Not a very strong looking side from us, I think we might struggle today.

Needs must isn’t it. 4 centre halves on, a full back, 4 central midfielders and a wide man.

Exactly, I really hope any Vale fans take into account the circumstances on this if as is more likely than not we have a difficult afternoon and probably lose. I actually think the vast majority will. A point today would be superb.

Odd line up for Crawley today but thems the players we have available.

I'd say it was a 3 2 2 1 2 or a 5 2 1 2 or a 9 1

3 centre backs, Davies & Ferry as wing backs 2 centre mid and 3 forwards. Nichols to drop off I suppose.

I will say that Lynch and Appiah are better than this division.

Just hope Rodney and Wozza are not out for weeks or we are screwed big time for the next 4 or 5 games.

Unchanged for us. I know we haven't got many options but christ how Cooke at least doesn't start is unbelievable.

Millen is simply making it up as he goes along, in the hope that he can stumble upon a couple of results before he can get to january to sign some *players

*cheap untested loans from under 23 teams.

I look at our lineup today and there just aren't any goals there. Best we can hope for is a 0-0 or somehow fluke a win in these poor conditions.

Started bright, then had a bit of a flap, Oldham missed bit of a free header just and now have gone ahead with a belter from thirty yards out.

Crawley absolutely dominating us. To top it off Tom James, who’s been one of our best this season, has gone off injured. We have no RWB cover.

By far the worst we’ve played this season.
