Huge game for us against Northampton and should be a good game.

We’ve finally looked to have clicked back into gear after injury and Covid stoppages and played very well the last couple of games.

Different type of test this one to say FGR as expect Northampton to be more direct and an obvious focus on set piece threat so possibly could do with Aaron Martin back for this one.

Sounds like long term absentee Jamie Proctor may return which is a huge boost, and Gibbons and Conlon are not far off so never know on those being available (DC doesn’t give specifics).

A win here would be absolutely massive for us, we need to close that four point gap and try and haul ourselves back into contention and with a trip to Tranmere to follow these two games could be pivotal.

Hopefully we can keep then performance levels of the past two games up and give ourselves a good chance to take points.

5th time we play the odious Adams this season. Let's hope for a win. I'm going for a 0-0 borefest, or a 1-0 win for the 378 travelling Grecian's

On paper it should be an away win but you never know in football. You’d think Walsall will have the attitude of “it’s a bit of a free hit so go and play with some freedom”. That said if we play like we did last night then it should be a routine win for us. Hopefully we’ll have around 1500 travelling as well after the initial 1050 was sold out.

Exactly the type of game we conspire to lose.

And I hope the Jason Taylor and Connor Brown experiment that works once every so often is put to bed for a while, we have much better players in their positions.

Despite winning last night, we still miss sitters and our general play is still pretty crap. I don't imagine a better side like Exeter will allow that to go unpunished. Low scoring game most likely so 0-1 or 1-1

Not beaten Exeter once this season and have no confidence of changing that, 9/5 are nice odds on them. Only saving Grace is we’ve only played them once at home and battered them and should have been 3 or 4 up before our defender got sent for a hotdog and we conceded a soft goal late on to bring the first of two replays. I hope if they’re tonking us they don’t use to many subs, I’d rather lose once than twice. A draw wouldn’t surprise me either though.

I just wish we were playing them mid March onwards when their usual collapse out of the playoffs kicks in.

We need to play better than we did last night to get anything from this game. Despite their fans' negativity, I expect a tight and a tough game, and probably a 1-1 draw.

Pretty much agree with this.
Suprised to see Walsall struggling. Pre season most of their fans were happy with their signings. Not sure what’s gone wrong down there.

Not much to explain, it's Wednesday, early odds and not much money in the market, be closer to 4/6 if not shorter come Saturday.
Fair! Can’t say I’m a betting expert, just expecting to see different odds given they’re on that losing run and we have the best away form in the league.

From what I've read here about Sutton's style while they're solid it's not the type of play we struggle against, so what with a slightly flatter showing out the way last night too think we can keep the run going this weekend on an upswing.

Genuine question: -
Would it be better if odds are not added to early post.
Someone could add them nearer to kick-off times.

Think how Lincoln used to be, very much like that. Not sure about solid but they have goals in them.

Vale away. Big game for both teams. I’m a little bit pessimistic about this one, but we’ve got a decent away record and it’ll be a good test for us.

Well I calculated Lee's record and its P14 W5 D6 L3, 13 goals for and 13 against. Includes cup games, without it's P9 W2 D5 L2, scoring 8 and conceding 8

Safe to say we are looking much better at the back but can do more going forward. Hopefully the goal glut of scoring 3 Tuesday Night Big Ones gives him the courage to go for it sometimes.

I think Lee will still stick to 5 at the back for aways but I'd like us to go to Crawley and look to win. We're unlikely to go down so let's have a go. A point will be fine but long due an away win.

I presume its the same Jamie Proctor who has been round the block including us. He had a lot going for him but for whatever reason it just did'nt work out when he was with us.
Be nice to be playing you next year -in league 1 of course !

Holohan and Shelton won’t get back in the midfield three, perhaps Lee has found a more energetic midfield trio in order for us to play 433, all three looked fantastic last night, White looks like a real talent.

Have to keep it 433 for home games for the rest of the season no matter who we play, then pick and choose away from home depending who were up against.

Lee has to build on this, no good having one decent home performance and then falling to bits away again.

We're absolutely shocking against teams down the bottom end - I wouldn't be surprised, if someone figured out the results of a mini-league between the bottom 8, and we were right at the bottom.

Any dropped points for us and points gained for Oldham will have us panicking.

Yeah he came in and really was firing, 7 goals but then injured his stomach in October and has been out since. Real shame for him really as he’s formed a good partnership with James Wilson.

Walsall sacking their manager to try and get that siege mentality going into a very hard couple games for them is pretty smart.

Usually with managerless teams they try hard but aren’t tactically great so you just need to weather an early high intensity and stay patient.
