Looking forward to the visit of Hartlepool.

Great result at Harrogate should be followed by a good performance...oh crap! Its a sod supporting lower division sides!

We've been playing g a 3 4 1 2 system lately that morphs into a 5 2 2 1 when under pressure but it's that transition that keeps leaving us disorganised and open to giving away silly goals. Saying that, Oteh got his first goal for the club yesterday, Hutchinson is getting some good reviews and Nichols playing up top again has found his goal scoring boots (more positions than Mary Millington :) ) so I am confident of getting the points.

And Adams sacked. Be a great day all around for both fans then.
I doubt we can afford to sack him, people presume we have money because of big gates. We made 6 loan signings in January and a player released by Hartlepool. In the summer we got crap like Robinson and Lavary on short term deals and a guy released by Wrexham. We apparently have a top 7 budget although it was top 12 at start of season so the goal posts have changed. Sold a player to Stockport who has 9 goals from the wing this season and sold our captain to Barrow an hour before the window shut and now play a midfielder in defence. A fair chunk of our budget goes on ground rent and training ground rent. Player budget wise we’re no bigger than anyone else. We have to run on a sustainable budget which is maxed out so we simply won’t be paying Adams’ 3 year contract off regardless of what a few on here may think or wish, he has us by the balls until our owner fucks off.

Looking forward to Saturday against Northampton. Does feel like we are getting back to the levels we need to be at now and some potential headaches for DC selection wise (in a good way).

Can’t really read anything into the first game at Sixfields as that was opening day and a lot has changed in terms of squad turnover certainly for us. Not sure DC will do it but that 3-4-1-2 with Wilson playing deep really suited us last night. Whether we would be able to ping the ball about like we did at Carlisle is questionable though just down to our awful pitch.

I can forsee Anthony Grant and his merry men going back up north with all 3 points the way we are playing!
God two wins in a row would be a miracle for us.

Grant was class last night but unfortunately his supporting cast is incredibly poor

I remember playing Sutton first game of the season. Really tough opposition, well organised with neat tidy football. We just pulled that one off, scoring the odd goal ten minutes from time. I remember thinking they would do well in the league. They struggled for quite a while result wise before finding their feat.
I hope we get enough rest before then, enough to gather the strength we'll need it we are to get anything. We are now looking tired, maybe mentally as much as physicality. No game next Tuesday, so one last big effort until we get a proper rest. So a point would be good.

Dan Happe dislocated his knee down at Exeter on Tuesday so George Ray might start. Injuries and our enforced winter break have sent us careering off the rails. Salford usually have our number and I don’t expect Saturday to be any different. Couldn’t think of a better hobby club to arrest our slide against, mind, so fingers crossed.

It will be another defeat.

I can’t even be bothered trying to predict a score line. I’m on the verge of giving up even caring to be honest.

Depends what defence we put out as to whether we will give you a tough game.
We are still getting smashed with injuries which has pretty much been the case all season with no let up.
If we play anything like we did on Tuesday you will have an easy win.

Exactly this, will be 4+ if we play like Tuesday.

Now we’re potentially having how many out?

Belshaw, Taylor, Evans, Clarke, Loft?

Best players in their position in GK CB & CM ffs

i think there’s probably a bit to much being made of us, whereas we’ve obviously had some good results the last 2 games could have been very different - harrogate could very easily won the game at the death, and even though (with respect to colchester) we absolutely battered them they could have equalised when at 1-0.

Maybe i’m doing us a disservice but i would view a win on saturday as a genuine surprise.

Would love us to show some bollocks and name an unchanged team from the Barra’ game, and take the game to creepy Crawley. From what I’ve seen so far that midfield 3 is more than capable of taking the game to teams at this level, but I’ve got a feeling we will revert to 532 away from home.

Looks like we’ll have 6/700 at Vale. Pretty light.

$alford are 9/4 to beat us?

Jesus, that's like printing money that.

Much as I despise that tinpot fake club we have scored once in 8 games so yeah, away win and our truly impressive slide down to the national league continues.

Honestly, if we don't get rid of this dinosaur jackett ASAP we are in huge trouble.

I'd prefer barney the dinosaur right now.

Adams is supremely confident. Apparently the fact that we haven't changed our squad in January is a disadvantage. I wonder if he thinks the same about Forest Green??

That’s the only thing I like about Adams how he can wind opposition fans up so easily, it’s one trait him and Parky had in common. We that and hoof ball.

Saturday is a good test to see how far we’ve come. Lost 2-1 at FGR on the opening day to a goal in the 6th minute of injury time. I felt we had played well enough on the day, certainly enough to earn a draw but that’s Football for you.

Our previously stellar home form isn’t looking so stellar following 3 consecutive home draws in the league, and we may be looking light in midfield options. Good job we’re only playing the runaway leaders….

from afar he seems to be doing a better job of winding your fans up than the opposition

We’ve been a very toxic club these last 4 years, 10 managers either temporary or permanent can’t remember one who didn’t get the same sort of abuse Adams gets. Unfortunately most are too thick to do what the likes of Oldham, Charlton and Blackpool did and unite against our fuckwit of an owner. I’m passed caring who’s in the dugout because I have no faith in them to be replaced with better.

Couple of years ago Swindon were romping to the title and my thoughts were “go easy on us” and they limited it to 2-0.

Shame I can’t go tommorow. Good away Day Swindon. Think we’ve sold 70 Tickets

I think given the Anthony Grant factor, you getting a win midweek and us in a little bit of disarray may see you surprised a little tomorrow.

If Ryan Loft is the best in that position then I'm surprised you're not below Scunthorpe.

I understood what you meant in this post. Mainly because i understand that 5 cannot go into 3 in the context of it.

Holohan and Shelton won’t get back in the midfield three, perhaps Lee has found a more energetic midfield trio in order for us to play 433, all three looked fantastic last night, White looks like a real talent.

Have to keep it 433 for home games for the rest of the season no matter who we play, then pick and choose away from home depending who were up against.

Lee has to build on this, no good having one decent home performance and then falling to bits away again.
Holohan has hardly featured under Lee & Shelton, only bits & pieces.
Hopefully its the end of Feath just walking back into the side,we're much more mobile without him.

Chris FGR looking at our website it seems we’re only selling home tickets via our website- can’t find anywhere to get away tickets.

I predicted a win for probably the first time this season on Tuesday and we won, should predict a win again for tomorrow.

Have a feeling Swindon might have their way with us again though as we're not a pressing team, they took us apart first game of the season due to that. Think we will play for a point but we need all three at this stage of the season in our current situation.
