Again, I fancy anyone at home and this weekend is no different. Be interesting if SPM scores and see if he celebrates or not. Don't think he played for Cambridge with fans?
TBF to Wigan...it's really a rugby town - to me at least! (I always hear Eddie Waring's dulcet tones in my head whenever I hear the name 'Wigan')Our small neighbours Wigan as usual have failed to sell out as for the long trip to the Tough Sheet.
Given same as you 3700.....Think they have shifted 3kTBF to Wigan...it's really a rugby town - to me at least! (I always hear Eddie Waring's dulcet tones in my head whenever I hear the name 'Wigan')
Even when they were in the Prem, to see the swathes of empty seats was quite embarassing. I feel for the Wigan fans that actually ARE footie fans though...but to not sell their allocation out, when living on your doorstep...well
How many were they given btw?
Is it still just under 6000 at Bolton?
We might be able to Nick a draw in this one. Wycombe are bound to have chances as our defensive players just aren't good enough. Pierre and Benning should be back for this, but no idea what Ainsworth will do with the team. Said after the Cambridge game that he can't fault the effort and it's not the players fault if they're not good enough.View attachment 21162
Well the biggest chance of losing our unbeaten run comes this weekend against Gareth Ainsworth’s Shrewsbury.
GA was always a great man-motivator, but he’ll want the team to be extra up for this, as he faces a side managed by his former player and assistant coach, and a solid core of our current side are also players he managed.
I’m expecting all the usual spoiling and timewasting tricks - the key is not to concede first, otherwise the breaking up play will only get more extreme.
Hoping not to lose to a 103rd minute sickener - a header from Wycombe old boy Aaron Pierre perhaps.
One of our Chairmen getting the ale in for everyone in the pub ahead of tomorrow's game against Cambridge...
Always have been and always will be a Rugby town. Very few if any fans actually come from the town of Wigan. You will find they come from places like Chorley, Leyland, St Helens, Haydock etcTBF to Wigan...it's really a rugby town - to me at least! Mr Tatum looking absolutely thrilled to bits at being invited to the night out....Channing Tatum is with him too. Apparently he's a lifelong Cambridge Fan.
One of those sentences is a lie.
Mullin was on loan to us the season before he joined permanently, done well in his loan too.Again, I fancy anyone at home and this weekend is no different. Be interesting if SPM scores and see if he celebrates or not. Don't think he played for Cambridge with fans?
Has that trial lasted 5 years!!!!!!!!Mullin was on loan to us the season before he joined permanently, done well in his loan too.
We were also one of the club's who trialled having fans back.
Dunno, you see plenty of football club crests out and about wherever you are in the Borough, not so much in Chorley and Leyland (both seem more Bolton or Preston and both over the county border).Always have been and always will be a Rugby town. Very few if any fans actually come from the town of Wigan. You will find they come from places like Chorley, Leyland, St Helens, Haydock etc
Most also support a second premier league team ie your Man Utd, Liverpool and Everton. They followed Wigan for a few seasons but are now returning to there warm armchairs to follow their premiership team.
2 wins in 12I only just realised Charlton are below us, thought they were 8th for some reason.
I’ve thought this for awhile, if they back wellens in jan and stay injury free then they’ve got every chance, it’s bang average this year. After seeing Orient play twice this week, they don’t half waste some chances. Those start dropping in and there’s the crux of a playoff challenging side
The only thing that matters is what they do on the pitch , watched the first half they played you off the park . Well done Wigan they looked a good side at ours and were a class above your lot today, the amount of fans they have didn’t seem to make any difference all I could hear on tv were the Wigan fans , do Bolton actually sing , it was a close derby as you say. Shocking home support.Always have been and always will be a Rugby town. Very few if any fans actually come from the town of Wigan. Another 5 years they wont be playing at the Brick Shithouse Stadium but will be ground sharing with Leigh or Chorley
