We should but we won’t. I think there’ll be too much stock into the fact we’ve had so many injuries and would we have 6 more points and be in the top 3 if Jones was fit? Probably yeah. I don’t think that’s a reason to keep a manager though, I think your manager should make his mark when your best players are injured and not just spend every week cursing our luck and saying things will be alright when Jones starts beating 3 players and putting it in the top corner every week again
Totally agree, the manager has to add value otherwise anyone can do it. He has had a decent amount of time and backing and we're going backwards. I don't see the point in persevering with him as he's never got a run going in what is now his 44th match in charge.
I think we could do with a bit of a robust approach, we're too nice and wouldn't mind seeing Pete Wilde come to shake it up whilst still playing decent football.

Looks like we're throwing the towel in vs Grimsby before the game has kicked off. We're starting with 0 strikers whatsoever, and one on the bench. Bring on the goals

Yeah definitely. Reed has always impressed me whenever I've seen him. My mate who is a Blackpool fan singled him out in their match earlier in the season too. Can definitely see how McEachran's tackling can go amiss. I'd have bet good money that Kieran Green wins more than him purely because he's more full pelt and swashbuckling but clearly not the case. Just checked and McEachran is 6th in the division according to Fotmob. Not bad considering it's probably not what most would class as his primary responsibility. Will be interesting to see if that decreases now Thompson is back.

Reed absolutely bossed the Blackpool game, was by far the best player on the pitch, they were on fire at the time too, think it was 4 wins in the last five.

Not a huge lover of starting with Hackford. He's not really shown a lot and certainly wouldn't be prioritising him over Paton or Tolaj. Seems like two up top though which is a rarity for us.

Concern why no Byers in the squad; did get a knock first half v Doncaster but hopefully just managing him back, no Sang or Chislett which is a concern but looks like two strikers and Hackford if used should only be with Stockley rather than alone.

Watching the salford/notts game as couldn’t get down today for ours.

Are notts still opting out of defending or have i just caught the wrong match?

Nah even when they stuffed us with 4 lucky goals you could tell they still didn't have a clue how to defend, no wonder they are dropping again.

Didn’t need to defend that day as you lot never touched the ball.

A bit of weird revisionist history on our overachieving at the start of the year, we were generally pretty good but I think everyone rightly noted we were beating poor teams (like Grimsby), cracks started showing against Gills and Vale at home when we were probably the better side on both occasions but Maynard came up short tactically, that obviously coincided with League 2’s Player of the Year breaking his leg - so our recent struggles are easier to explain than simply luck/kismet/the cosmic balance

Pitiful display, we're going backwards at a rate of knots and there isn't a team in the division I'd be confident of beating atm.

If you look across the lineup it’s mainly our players with the most physical presence as opposed to the technical players so maybe it’s DM selecting it on that basis. Suggests he thinks with Bromley the ball is not going to be on the floor much. As is often the case when a manager operates like this if he does it and if it comes off it’s genius, if it doesn’t it smacks of somebody who who just doesn’t know his best team.

We had 1 less shot than you that game (14), you scored an offside goal, played basketball for the second and had 2 complete flukes loop in. We were never as bad as the scoreline suggested and we’re now 3 points above you in the table, so I’d say we’ve a strong argument for not being a ‘poor team’.

Very true but does frustrate me that we worry so much about the opposition we change our system to suit rather than make them worry about us…

Thought Notts deserved their win comfortably earlier in the season against us tbh , we were pretty short though and didn't look too good early on with a lot of players out . We are certainly a much improved side ,Notts have gone the other way with loss of form and injuries .....

I'm hoping Jones isn't back by January to rip us a new one again

This has been our worst 30 minutes of the season. Bromley should be 3 up.

Molyneaux and Hurst both missed chances that looked easier to score and then we gift Wimbledon a goal by fucking about with the ball at the back

We're not playing brilliantly.. don't seem to be able to string any passes together.

Williams scares the shit out of me as well.

Still.. winning.

We’ve gone off piste here but I absolutely can not help you if you think as a Grimsby fan you didn’t get absolutely battered that night - counting shots is silly, we were all there. You were horrific.

Obviously you’re above us, you’d beat us if we played next week as we’re terrible currently. Two completely separate arguments.

Anyway….Maynard Out.

Got the stream on and their comms have said a couple of times 'Williams will give us a chance'. They said it about Araujo too. Anything we can get until Dunks gets back is a bonus. Get the sense if we can get another here their heads might drop

That was utterly pathetic. How the hell we are still level I don’t know. Bromley and especially Imray are killing us out wide. Unless some changes are afoot then can’t see how this is anything other than a Bromley win.

Antwoine Hackford I’d be fucking sending him back to Sheff Utd at halftime. Visibly bottled out of competing for a couple of balls, unacceptable.

I have as well. The comms is unbearable. Feel we need one more goal to win this game.

Every season, promotion or relegation or mid table we get to 30 points and then go to pieces.

Sounds dreadful. Play the best XI give it a run of games to gel and create relationships not 4-6 changes every week and focus on the opposition.

We’ve left virtually all our technicians out the squad to go physical because Bromley are physical. Surely you do what they probably won’t be comfortable with than set up to meet on their terms?

Moore needs to sort it out.

Turns out yeah Bromley are strong physically but they also play some football too. Very lucky its not 3 or 4-0. Us on the other hand think we’ve barely completed a pass to someone in the same coloured shirt.

The blue kit curse we cured at MK has arose again and makes us play like 23/24 again
