Donny away. Artell has struggled against them since coming in. Well and truly beaten by the much better side in two occasions at BP with 5-1 and 3-0 shorelines. Therefore, this match presents an opportunity to show a touch of progress perhaps.

The switch to wingbacks, which came directly after said 5-1 defeat and crisis talks last season, was an exercise in shoring up and ultimately maintaining football league status. It was backs to the wall and grinding out points. We've recently switched to wingbacks again this season but the initial few matches have been much more entertaining and expansive. JDS has had excellent back to back matches, Hume looks tailor made for the role on the left and Obikwu and Rose both a with a goal a piece in each of those two matches look to be forging a good partnership.

Should be a decent following from us as always at Donny.

In Walsalls current form - and despite a last minute defeat at Colchester - I think we are value at 16/5.

Will be an interesting game. Donacien should be back fit and available but suspect he will be on the bench. Grigg is 2 weeks away which is a huge boost.

I’m more confident about this game than I would have been 3-4 weeks ago. Reckon your starting 11 will be spot on. I’m going for 2-1 Town with Dobra scoring one.

I might be in the minority but that defence still frittens me to death tha knows, Sparkes aside
Shecks has been doing well this season. Grimes & Williams have improved too..although I do know what you mean. Grimes in particular does have a mistake in him & doesn’t look as comfortable as you’d like your cbs to be

My score prediction for our match will come in due course.

But hold onto your hats, as for possibly only the second time this season, I am going to be predicting a CUFC win.

It's my youth team's annual trip to Whaddon Road this week against Barrow so I'll be sat with a load of screaming kids. It also means I'll be taking one of my 7 year olds to their first game (the other doesn't like football). He doesn't know yet, I don't want to get him too excited :D

As for the game - God only knows. The only thing about Cheltenham that's consistent is our inconsistency. We've been dreadful against Barrow in the Football League as well (3 games, 3 defeats). That being said, we've been decent at home in recent times, so no reason we can't nick a win.
First game for him at home to Barrow, talk about spoiling him.

Our record v Donny since 71/72 isn't great to be fair. We lost there near the end of the McMenemy Championship season and at home to them near the end of the John Newman promotion season. Even when they were totally shite when they fell off into the NL the best we managed was a couple of scrappy odd goal wins in League and Cup.

Nearly 2,700 sold according to GTFC.

Chesterfield at home play like we did the other night and we will lose.
I want to see some changes to freshen us up whats the point in signing 5 players in January and not playing any of them?
We've got 3 strikers on the bench and he keeps picking Josh Gordon who couldn't score in a brothel and playing Mcentee a centre back in midfield he's turned into last seasons Matt Sadler in recent weeks.

We even managed to lose to them in the cup after going 2-0 up at Belle Vue when we were Championship and they were League 2.

Remember it well 4-3 to them, my then 10 year old's first away game, he was not happy about the taunts from Donny fans and tried to start fights outside after. He is now a police officer...

Correction it was 3-2 - we also had a man sent off it may have been Disco Des Hamilton...It was 4-3 to Donny at BP in 79. Quite a few high scoring games over the years - recently just for one team...

We're a bit naff away from home. Good record against Newport, though. Not had a draw for a while so I'll go with that. 2-2.

Walsall (A).

Over 1,600 tickets sold in the away end so far (me being one of them), so backed by decent numbers yet again. I’ve only been to Walsall once, and we won that one, so I’m hoping for more of the same!

Walsall hit a sticky patch recently, which shouldn’t really be too much of a surprise considering how influential Nathan Lowe was, even if their fans did try & play his departure down on here. They’re still the best side I saw earlier in the season, but Lowe was the man to get the 2 goals against us in a 2-2 draw and he did seem to have that bit of magic that was clearly the difference in many games for them. Replacing him has proven to be difficult for them, but I still expect them to turn the form round at some point & get themselves up… but maybe not as champions, which is mental considering how far ahead they were just a couple of weeks back!

As for us, expecting the squad to be exactly the same as the Donny game where we really turned it on especially 2nd half to blow them away. As I’ve said before though, this side is still a bit of an unknown given the amount of change over the last few weeks, so it’s hard to predict what we’ll do Saturday. Hopefully we can take advantage of Walsall’s mini slump & get out of there with 3 points, but I wouldn’t mind a point at all.

I'm guessing that'll be Colchester United (CUFC) and Not Carlisle United (CUFC) then?

Nice to be able to go into a weekend relatively stress free about football. Having said that, we got a monkey off our back in terms of a come from behind win on Tuesday, it would be nice to get another in the form of an away win which we haven't had since September.

We had 2 players sent off, went down to 10 men at 1-0 but then straight away made it 2-0 but then went down to 9 men and let 3 in.
