Shocking decision making by Swindon to call it off now, at least it means we will get smashed on a Tuesday rather than today

Smith in at right back is a gamble as he’s played almost all his career as a centre back but is clearly aimed at dealing with Noubles physicality.

Weather is grim; game will start if it makes 90 we will have to see!

That late postponement is actually disgraceful from Swindon.
Imagine travelling down all the way from Scunthorpe only to be told its been cancelled right before kick off.
Actually makes me think less of Swindon as a club, unfortunately they'll probably be going up, but that's really, really poor stuff from a club that should be more than capable of putting on a game in a mild storm.

Think we will get a draw today, possibly a 0-0.

Our pitch is immaculate today and our grounds men deserve massive applause for it having seen some really awful ones recently.

The 12 Scunthorpe fans that were going should be completely outraged.

Bloody hell. I’ve travelled away only to find the game is off. Bolton on a Tuesday evening springs to mind.

Shit happens. Maybe better to let it go ahead and have a sheet of steel fall on people.

Let’s not dance around this. Ours is the only game off in league 2, called off an hour before kick off. Poor form from us today.

Only 2 games off in the entire EFL, surprisingly.

Poor conditions forcing both teams to play it on the deck, nice to watch without much clear cut chances. 70% possession to us but Morecambe had more shots all be it none threatening.

More of the same second half just need to find that killer ball.

Solid half and deserved lead for the Vale, disappointed we haven’t added to it as we’ve had chances but Colchester when they do get forward are a threat.

Need to keep going. Pitch is immaculate

1-1 HT, should be winning based on chances - Alfie May could easily have scored four already. Orient have played some decent stuff but look shaky as anything at the back. Got to push on for the win with almost every team at the top winning again.

We've played really well. Some great football and some good chances. Colchester look a threat from set pieces but give the ball away a lot. The referee has given them impetus by giving everything to them in the first half, which meant a series of free kicks and corners. He's been terrible and booked 5 players in a game that hasn't had a bad challenge in it. Ruining it really. He's not allowing for conditions either. Need another goal as I can see this prick sending someone off.

Referee is crap, booking three players for nothing left him no choice but to return the favour with two Colchester yellows in the same move.

Colchester defensively aren’t great and seem to back off us when we run at them, shame Amoo is out!

Awful conditions, obviously. Not much quality in the game but we’ve been on top for most of the half - deservedly in-front.

The worst thing we can do in the second half is play on the break and invite pressure. We’re playing against the wind in the second 45, so it’ll be a difficult half for the boys.

Good half, that.

Need another goal as I think we will concede from a set piece (probably from another free kick around the area that wasn’t a foul). Ref has been awful.

The annual collapse is in full swing now. Tediously predictable.

3-0 up now and should have us into the playoff spots. Absolutely brilliant.

We hadn't conceded three in a league game all season until Tuesday night and now we've done it twice in a week.

You should be about 8-1 up. We are playing with a winger and CM at fullback, as well as a centre back whose legs have gone whilst Ekpiteta is injured. Not a surprise that we’re awful at the back.

Great win for Vale. First time we've won three in a row in god knows how long. Now up to sixth in the table and given our goal difference a nice little boost so couldn't have asked for better really.

Devastating half, we literally took the Micky at times and the olays came out! We are purrring like a cat at the moment!

Dominated second half with passing possession again. Turned out to be a long ball over the top for Hanson that lead to the breakthrough with a nice chip over the on rushing keeper.

Free kick deflected in sealed the win. Rare mistake at the back with the wind taking effect lead to free kick in the penalty area from a handled back pass. All our players on the line but the shot hits them and goes in. Only disappointing part of the game really.

Special mention to the Ref Kettle, must be a Vale thing, because I thought he was excellent, hardly even noticed he was on the pitch, tried to let the game flow and only blowing for obvious fouls, didn't put a foot wrong.

One of the most one-sided halves I've seen in that second half, didn't look like it was going to happen for us but Reid pops up with the late winner and we're back up to 5th. Get in there!

He's probably on his final written warning ( allegedly)
