Oxford beat us twice last season and were impressive both times. Obviously they aren’t doing as well this season but I’m still wary. Would take a 1-0.
Wary... of Oxford United!? Relax!

It's Christmas and a little bit cold out. Let's just agree you win this time. It'll be easier that way.

Besides, we wouldn't dream or even dare to attempt to win this fixture. Mostly because we aren't very good and won't threaten it.

Anyway, enjoy your win! :)

Happy Christmas from OUFC!

We have snow this morning, so I'm quite happy that the game is off and I won't be freezing my bits off.

Well after a 16.30 and a 10 am this morning we have another pitch inspection at 12.30. Our supporters are all on the way along the M4.

Luckily I have an apartment in London so just here waiting and hoping. Charlton is a sunken ground so cant imagine temperatures will improve

Fleetwood match postponed, absolute bummer, thought it would be ok ☹️

This is why to me I think it’s better to make the call early though I understand the desire to try and get it on. Saves any wasted journeys for away fans.

I'm inclined to agree with you mate, understand they left it as late possible in the hope it would be ok but real shame for Cambridge fans who are on the way up

Glad I gave it a swerve now.

I'd have wanted the gang to go on to Holker Street but suspect they'll go for Preston v QPR.

At least I still get an iFollow game and it might be a cracker.

All Bluebirds Are Blue. Stuff the Xmas Robins.

What’s the bet that managerless Charlton didn’t put the covers on last night?
Fair play to Charlton tbf, game on! Just wait now for us to have 5 injuries and we are saying it should have been off

There’s a lot of pissed off people on our forum. Word is our club has been pestering yours all week about the pitch to avoid travelling up for no reason only to be told “it’s fine, don’t worry”. Then at the pitch inspection today there’s a big patch in front of the main stand which is rock solid.

This is the second time we’ve had a late calling off in recent seasons in the north west when half our bloody support is already there. I hate to say it but it’s tinpot as fuck.

Yeah, I understand it but sometimes you're just flogging a dead horse trying. For instance with us even if it had warmed up slightly there is always a section towards the Hamil Road end which when it freezes over forget it as it just doesn't get any sun on it. I just think clubs should approach it if it's in doubt due to a frozen pitch on a Friday make the call then (I know Andy Holt of Accy said he liked our approach), obviously I know some have pre-booked train tickets etc but to me that's fairer than having someone travel for 3 or 4 hours for nothing.

If ever there's a time for players to put in a shift, it's when there's a bunch of managerial hopefuls watching in the stands, and the players know they need to impress the incoming gaffer.

How the hell has Dion Charles missed that header there? It’s normally us who are that wasteful in front of goal. See if it comes back to bite them.

We should be 3/4 up here already. Hope we don’t regret it. We’ve missed so many clear cut chances this season it’s starting to get ridiculous

Possibly the best half we’ve put in this season and without santos, gethin Jones etc, loads of injuries. Should be 4/5-0 up. Exeter have been shocking mind.

Pretty much against the run of play, but yeah. 1-0 to us at half time, but I'm pretty sure it won't end that way.

Ipswich have had more and better chances than us - we've defended well, but there's also been some crap finishing from Ladapo, we can't always assume he'll fluff his lines.

Anyway, we've done better than I expected (esp. with a first choice CB out from illness), but this will not be an easy lead to defend.

One of the most comfortable first halves of the season. Exeter can’t get near at the moment.
