We fell apart to 2nd place and 107 points? Gotcha, fell apart indeed.

Great chant :2thumb:
Seems to have worked haha!

Unsurprisingly for a team that plays possession based football, Notts don't like it up them, Jones throwing his arms up multiple times after being floored by McClean in the first half and didn't fancy it after that, swapped sides and got no change out of Barney either.

Notts a very good team, ironically looked like a team missing a goalscorer today, different story if Langstaff scores that early sitter but he didn't do much apart from that, McGoldrick maybe unlucky to have that disallowed but it looked handball from an angle I've seen, we should have scored at least another in the second half.

On the note of Mullin, he won't be himself for the rest of this season I imagine, that's why we've signed Marriott...No way Mulls would have been brought off when he was previously. It's mostly fitness, but partly, the refs aren't buying into his gamesmanship as much which allows defenders to give him a harder time, not so much today but that definitely happened against Bradford last week.

That’s a good way to bring fans back on side when you’ve lost 5-1
You can laugh - whereas we have to hope the owners act fast, I can’t see this being turned round. The Fishy is in meltdown…why did we sack a manager who had just led to 6 weeks of only narrow defeats…

But we do need a manager who can get “us” shape, we certainly haven’t got any at the moment.

Unsurprisingly Harrogate turned up for a "we don't care about scoring, just don't lose" session, and it worked. 10 behind the ball at all times, game management from the off, and we just couldn't break it down. Battered them and forced their keeper into a worldy of a save, just couldn't get the finishing touch to anything. On another day we win that by 6 or 7.

Ah well, 4 points from Stockport and Harrogate is a successful week. We move.

I know you know that but i wasn’t patronising you, just surely he must realise it’s not working and just play the basics.

We both have got relegated from this season and know how shit you have to be to go down.

Never celebrated a disallowed goal for so long. Still, not like Wrexham to get piss poor decisions going their way.

Other than that, same old same old against the top six. Good start, missed chances, let a soft one in. This season looks like it’s going to be a real missed opportunity.

The issue is that do that jones or langstaff do anything against the top sides? both were anonymous against us (was jones injured away, cba to research)

I'd say Jones yes, Langstaff no. Could easily prevent a mega bucks bid needed to be accepted.

Very unlucky not to get a point at Stockport, Mansfield or Wrexham but it's all about the big moments and we aren't taken em.

Maybe next season

We don't like it up us, and we do play lovely football. Both true

McGoldrick was definitely unlucky I've seen a few angles and it's not obvious either way , ref has to be certain , **** knows how he is from that position.

As for Mullin, give him this season due to the big injury. But will he come back better next season? At a higher level with better defenders. I wouldn't be confident. He was poor today, which surprised me. Used to be a big fan.

I imagine a striker will be top of the shopping list should we go up, along with Okonkwo or another goalkeeper. Hopefully Mullin will step up if we do go up, with a full pre-season behind him.

Wouldn't surprise me if he's on the bench on Tuesday, I'd probably be benching him in the Tuesday matches rather than burning him out. Marriott should be able to do a job.

Hard to tell exact where it hit McGoldrick even on the replay but I wasn't expecting the ref to give the handball to be honest. My initial reaction at the match was that it was a goal and the handball was not obvious enough to disallow it.

Having looked at it (one of the more technical mansfield fans can post it) flints header at 0-0 in the first half is over the line, unsurprisingly it wasn’t given.
It was miles over enjoyed Flints battle with Jamille Matt today like something from the past big centre half and a big striker having a physical battle with no moaning or rolling around on the floor both just got on with it.

Obviously we were too far away to see it one way or t’other in real time, but we soon got the messages through on the jungle drums that it was a rotten decision. Absolute fucking sickener.

Other than the result, good day out. Like Tranny, Wrexham are a proper club with proper fans and a proper ground, even better when that stand gets built. For all the bullshit, I still prefer R and R to the murderers that football has attracted elsewhere. Just.

ITV4 REFUSING to show the disallowed goal.

Bradford should be relegated for their pitch.

I had the choice of going to watch Grimsby today or meeting my new baby niece and nephew for the first time. One of the aforementioned options involved some useless little humans incapable of doing anything remotely simple who shit their nappies and cause chaos every five minutes...while the other option was going to meet our latest family members.

Jones never found the end product against you but the idea he was anonymous is just ridiculous and suggests you didn’t actually watch the match (which wouldn’t surprise me, to be honest).

I hope for your sake that you picked the second option.
My lads got a season ticket but he fucked Town off again today to go see his girlfriend (ironically in Doncaster) and what a great choice he made.

1-1 at home to Morecambe. I thought we battered them but they thought otherwise. Caught up with a couple of their supporters who got into our bar after the match including Rich who I've known for years and years. It's not just about the football, it's about catching up with friends who support other clubs.

Does anybody know how long those ‘new manager bounces’ take to arrive, 13 games in now so surely it must be soon?

After an extensive search we finally found him in cargills back pocket. Jones was surprisingly easy to mark when defend properly.

Notts “top” players haven’t been able to perform against superior sides all season backed up by you having a wonderfully successful record losing 6 out of 6 against the top 4 sides.

Aww diddums did Barrow lose again?

It's what you get for being smug little jumped up non leaguers.

You'd get absolutely smashed in L1 so it be a waste of time going up.

Are carlisle going to provide barrow with tips on how to get absolutely smashed in league 1? maybe you could he the main speaker.

I don't need to when you can give them tips on how to do a bottlejob. The yearly Mansfield bottlejob.

You’re not bottlejobbing it lad, you’re just getting dicked repeatedly, what happened to never playing in league 2 again?

Predictable line-up for Rovers with just fit again Brad Walker replacing McAlear. Unless there's a tactical adjustment to avoid conceding ground so readily fear this will be a walkover for Stockport with two ex-Rovers in their starting xi and a strong looking bench.

Genuinely don’t think I’ve ever seen you be optimistic about Tranmere. Very very strange. Bet you’re gutted with that result today!

Anyway… Always next weekend to get beat off FGR eh

*Side note… Tranmere were brilliant v top of the league and it could have been more. Night and day compared to Tuesday’s collapse v Morecambe

Cargill did a fine job on him, Jones doesn't like being kicked and he was definitely kicked but he wasn't anywhere near anonymous. That's a ridiculous suggestion especially if you were at the game.

We are where we are. Not quite good enough for the top boys but better than most of the rest. That shouldn't be a huge surprise as it's out first season back.

Saying that very unfortunate not to get a point at any of the top 4, could be argued we deserved a point in each game due to good performances.

Chance missed to extend the gap there. 4th loss of the season but imo the first loss where we’ve been beaten by a better side on the day, we weren’t at it.

Should have had a goal in the FH from Flint but Lino/ref didn’t see it, shock. Subs were odd, the fuck did we take Swan off for?

Ah well nevermind we go again, Salford next week, not lost since NYD so the opposite to Walsall

Enjoyed yesterday, the rendition of Yma o hyd before the game, two good sides going at it, great atmosphere, nice of Wrexham fans to join in second half:)
I've watched the handball goal ten times and can't make my mind up, how the ref cannot allow it has me puzzled.

He didn't allow it because he was 100% certain, had no doubt that it hit the arm. Even though his view was inferior to players from both sides.

But that's football, shit happens.
