Morrycamby away and this brings back vivid memories of when both teams were in the Lancashire Combination. The hosts were for many years one of the top teams in this league
Fleetwood need to prove they can get results against teams struggling at the bottom. Equally most teams can beat each other on the day, there is no such thing as a nailed on win in this league
A draw won't be the worst result, hopefully the Cods can go one better

Jesus. How are league 2 teams

Dunno about it being more likely to get injured when older (for pros anyway) but it can impact your recovery. Certain knee injuries are harder to get full mobility & strength back if you’re bit older.
Don't I know it, I slept funny on my neck the other day and it's only just right. Age is a bitch

Rovers home to Colchester and my first chance to see us live this year. Two suspended after the Swindon debacle two long term injuries and a couple of unspecified injuries too. We've had to bring youngster Josh Williams back from Southport, just a couple of days after extending his loan with a recall clause.

The Cowleys used to enjoy trips to PP in their Braintree and Lincoln days and it would be no surprise if they manage to come away with all the points tomorrow.

Bromley away when we look weak as piss and can't buy a win. Don't think I've been less enthusiastic about going to a match in a long time.

In fairness, AFC were probably the best. Then again, they won 3-0 in their cup final for this season so hardly surprising. But yes, better than most.
Don't they despise your very exsistence & hate the fact they have to play you? I'm sure absolutely 0 AFC fans class you as their cup final, I'm sure they love beating you but would rather not play you at all.
Donny is a huge area, unfortunately we lost a couple of generations of fans in the 80's & 90's to Leeds & the Sheffield clubs, however we should be getting bigger crowds than we do.

At least if we lose we know for certain that Bromley's manager and players will all be very gracious in victory.

Hopefully no one will & they pull the plug on the failed experiment or maybe just maybe the promised football frenzy will kick off, 20 odd years late

Oh please you love playing us. Certainly in the last few years when you’ve actually showed up on the pitch too. Maybe it’s because a lot of your fans these days appear to be under 35 / never supported the old Wimbledon and therefore just seem to treat it as any other rivalry. I have certainly lost count of the amount of vlogs I’ve seen from your fans on the game home and away treating it as a big day out. Not to mention the multiple different posts on your official YouTube channel about the past few games.

If we’re honest, who gives a fuck about AFC Wimbledon and MK Dons apart from fans of each club? You don’t have any other rivals really and neither do we.

As mentioned, it’s the 2nd time we’ve had a lunch time KO vs Cheltenham this season, which has definitely put me off going especially with it being on Sky. Not sure how many we’ve sold for it but I’m sure it’ll be decent enough, even given the circumstances as our away support has been very good this season.

Squad wise, well documented we’ve had horrendous injuries but thankfully starting to come out the other side of that a little, although we still have a few of our key men out long term including Grigg, Dunkley, Gordon & now McFadzean who Cook confirmed will be missing for at least 2/3 months with a knee injury he picked up vs Bromley which is a killer as he looked a class above in the 2 games he played. On a more positive, expect Olakigbe new signing today will be involved, and Paddy Madden now looking fully up to speed so could be his first start since his return tomorrow. John Fleck had 15/20 mins on Tuesday too and pulled off an incredible pass to assist Maddens goal, so he’s edging closer but doubt he’s ready to start yet…

Team for me would be:

Thompson
Sheckleford Naylor Grimes Sparkes
Mandeville Oldaker
Olakigbe Dobra Colclough
Madden

Boot (GK)
Palmer
Fleck
Metcalfe
Banks
Duffy
Pepple

We should have won the home game against Cheltenham comfortably on balance of play but couldn’t put them to bed and they punished us. Hopefully get the 3 pts tomorrow but expecting a really tough game against solid opposition tbh, so see what happens.

If donacien is fit I'd go with him at centre half with Grimes. If not I'd go for...

Only to be expected from Gareth Southgate's best man...

Artell seems to imply most opposition managers are long standing buddies, and we back that up with such generosity...

If Bromley score I can envisage Woodman running down the touch line in full on Steve Evans at Wembley mode, trousers falling down and his fat arse crack hanging out.
Probably with a turtles head sticking out if it too for the full effect.

The big lad should be serving a touchline ban after getting sent off at ours on Tuesday, so unless he pitch invades (entirely possible) you should be safe!

If you don't like it you could always go back to supporting the team you followed before (providing you are over 25).

Gutted mate, thrown the weekend into turmoil, was heading into town later to fill up on 3 quid staropramen before the game but worried one of the hoardes of franchise customers heading north might stare at me aggressively or call me boring.

Sigh…

We were founded in 2004 (and Wimbledon FC moved to Milton Keynes in 2003), if you were 10 then and went to your first game around that time, you would be 31/32 now. Hell, some kids don't even go to their first game until they are like 15, so you could extend that to 36/37 year olds.

Anyone over that age who wasn’t a Wimbledon FC fan before (of which there are certainly still a few hundred) I agree is likely a fucking lunatic for supporting us and should be derided. I am however not, so you should praise me (and Dippy who is also not) for supporting our local shit League Two club. Realistically most of our fans (and STH) are under 36/37 too...so really, in summary, our fans are great.

So are you saying you had a favourite team but once one turned up in your town you decided to give them a go & got hooked?

Hopefully we are at it from the start against Accy. They’ve made it difficult for a number of teams they’ve played this season including us so take nothing for granted. Wouldn’t try and get too clever with things just go for what should be our strongest available XI.

With Williams coming in to replace McFadzean, that means Naylor stays in midfield then which I’m happy about tbh.

Hopefully Williams can hit the ground running as he was doing well before dislocating his shoulder at Carlisle tbf.

No, I’m saying I’m 30 and never supported anyone else. I went to my first game aged 9. A lot like most of our fans, so your jibes are misdirected. Frankly our fanbase now isn’t much different to yours. Mostly local people supporting their local club and a few older Wimbledon fans who stuck with it. And yes, just like every club at this level we get a few randomers who do support other clubs who stop by to watch some live football, but let’s not pretend that doesn’t happen at all of our clubs, I am certain Doncaster get a few randomers who support the likes of Liverpool and Man Utd that stop by for a game or two. Every L2 club probably has some two club wankers too, I’ve seen people wearing Liverpool, Arsenal, Man Utd etc tops at other L2 clubs the last two seasons…

Sounds luke couple changes again for us, Cooney not in the starting 11 and Sanders comes in, so guessing Williams and Conway are wing backs with Sanders in midfield with Tabiner and Holicek, and Long in for Bogle up top.

Swindon are on fire right now with 3 wins in a row. Can they make the play offs or even make the automatics?

Their fans seem confident that Holloway is the man to take them into L1!

Harry Smith is the best striker in this league.

Very good first half, absolute filth from Didzy for the second goal and we could have had more. Let's avoid the early second half meltdown please!
