Don’t know what has happened to our pitch but it resembles a beach on the Lorne Street side, unsurprisingly it’s bobbling about a bit.

Both teams probing though.

I was just going to ask if it’s always that bad.

First goal will be key.

Interesting half. Wednesday clearly got 2 or 3 good players but equally they've kicked the ball out of play several times and aren't actually that good as a collective which is embarrassing given their budget. Ref has given us nothing and Wednesday everything, he's been awful but they do like to go down easily. No.7 spends most of the time on his arse. Pretty even really. Wilson played well.

The only thing embarrassing is your obsession with our budget. However big it may be in contrast to others, they’re still fucking League One players!

More than held our own first half apart from a dodgy couple of minutes when we lost possession and Bannan had a good chance saved followed by clearing off the line for a corner. Otherwise we’ve probably edged it. Their keeper touched one onto the bar and Forrester had one saved.

We’ve played well but need to keep it up as that one time we did go to sleep we nearly got punished.

Not this season, it is not uncommon as you get to January for it to look like that but not at this point.

Think we’ve done alright there. Largely kept Wednesday at arms length and asked a couple of questions ourselves. The challenge will be as the second half goes on and the changes they will be able to make but am pleased overall.

Low quality game, Burton are a tough physical side and have a bit of a goal threat, we’ve struggled to deal with their crosses and throw ins.

The good thing is we’re still in this though, so it is slightly better then last week.

We didn’t get as much time to work on it in the summer as we had the concert, it needs relaying but at the moment money is being spent on the ground to repair the neglect of regimes past.

Being prepared like this to ensure it remains playable during the winter per the commentators

Have to say the atmosphere has been pretty quiet today, their fans have always been excellent on previous visits but have been fairly quiet and ours haven’t really done much bar the wonder of you pre game and winging at the referee!

Possibly we’ve just hired a new groundsman and we didn’t get to do it in the summer.

What a great goal by Reece. That’s changed things.

And now your gonna believe us, we’re gonna win the league.

Fucking hell, not much can do on that one. Great hit from the Wednesday player.

Absolute scenes, pen red goal. We’re actually winning.

Another bonus no need to worry about their long throws anymore, given how he’s been sent off.

What two players who had never played a league game before?
That's irrelevant but it kind of proves my point. He got lucky with a couple of loans that hadn't played league football before but were clearly much better than the level they were playing at.

Goal out of nothing really. There's been nothing in the game, which again is a poor reflection on Wednesday. We haven't done enough in the final 3rd to get a goal and distribution has been poor at times. After the goal some the Wednesday players have been an embarrassment. Why the need to play act and throw yourselves around? Referee has desperately tried to give Wednesday a helping hand...he's given them everything.

Feels a very avoidable loss on the day. Referee was piss weak.

Goal out of nothing, actually from the ball dropping from a great challenge and that killed us a bit. Wednesday were there for the taking a bit but we’ve not done enough and after the goal they just killed it with time wasting and play acting.

Referee never got a grip of that and rightly getting blasted by the home fans at full time. Would need to see the red card incident again on Smudge.

Fair play to Wednesday, we ran them close but one moment of just brilliance settled the game. Think to be fair as well did we do enough to threaten second half? Probably not especially after the goal. Credible effort though, certainly haven’t embarrassed ourselves. Will Forrester was superb for us.

Cry me a fucking river.

That pitch was a fucking joke, good luck playing on it for the season.

First half was very much even but as it went on we grew into the game on a pitch which did neither side any favours.

Second half I think we took more control albeit without creating too much and it took a superb hit to make the difference but after that we were in control I don't recall Stockdale having much to do in the 2nd half.

I am not a fan of some of the antics of our players mind and moaned when we had teams do it to us.

Isn't that the point of loan players though? - if they dont improve your team what is the point?
You could say the same about Josh Coburn who we currently have on loan, who has already appeared in the Championship this season.
Its not even about losing loan players from last season anyway, its more that we have good defenders out injured at the moment.

Relieved after that one. Scrappy game and one I reckon we would definitely have lost last season.

Don't waste your time pal, he has his opinion and he's always right regardless
