Be a tough game at Adams park tomorrow, no doubt there’ll be 9 minutes injury time

Barton has done our pre match team talk, calling us a grubby little club in the arse end of nowhere that no player wants to go to.
If only we were a big city club like Rovers playing in a magnificent stadium.
I think he got lucky last season with a couple of loans that should have been nowhere near league 2.

You can always tell a manager who is struggling as they often focus on other factors apart from the game.

An A grade dick. Hopefully Rovers fans start to see him for what he is and hopefully they continue to suffer poor results to show him up. He's thick as fuck and shouldn't be managing anywhere near this level.

He shouldn’t be managing full stop.

I do hope he puts on a Bristolian accent for one of his interviews soon, that would be epic.

Looking forward to this one. I want to see their ridiculous drama queen anti social woman beating manager have a terrible day out and see his team convincingly beaten resulting in him being sacked. Aside from the result, I hope the rovers fans have a good day out though, a loyal lot who deserve better than the likes of Barton staining the reputation of their club.

Barton in fairness was fairly complimentary of us… oddly though he talked pre game about there being no good teams in league two… then rattled on about Vale being a good side!

And if we are winning you can bet there will be several yellow cards for time wasting for us. We are just not as subtle or as good as Wycombe at doing it.

I still rate the football we played under Harvey as the most entertaining I have seen since I started following Rovers...which admittedly wasn't too long before he joined...at least when Fleets had the ball at his feet there was anticipation that he might score, now I worry about where our next goal might come from!

We had a proper game plan back then, we had partnerships down the flanks where the fullbacks and wide players knew how to combine, when to overlap and when to cover back. Through the middle we had a very simple but effective tactic, get the ball to Beesley and he'd keep threading it through for Fleetwood who was constantly playing on the shoulder.

Not sure I can identify any real attacking gameplan under Burchnall recently, other then give the ball to Peart-Harris and let him drive forward until he runs into a blind alley, play hopeful balls into the channels for the likes of March or Fiabema to chase lost causes or just wait for Wickham to produce something out of nowhere on the rare occasion he can be bothered to move.

Just as a side note due to circumstances we haven’t played at home on Saturday since August 27th.

That is true, we also had a pretty decent team, players like Clist, Beesley, Fleets and Lawless (still one of my favourite Rovers players) and most games you knew what you were going to get. Ironically I can see a bit of Fleetwood in Fiabema...there have been a number of times in recent games where I have seen him keep his defender to the left and point to where he wanted the ball played, on the ground and to his right, unfortunately that doesn't seem to have happened...it is no good me spotting what he wants from my seat in the stand if none of our players are on the same wavelength.

Last Saturday was one of the worst performances I can remember from a Rovers team...and that comes from someone who was at Grays, Tamworth and Stevenage (lost 4-0 in the FA Trophy, abject doesn't even begin to describe our showing on that occasion)...I am really fearful that we might get cut off in the bottom four, even though a couple of wins would have us in mid-table, we need a decent performance and a positive result today.

Three changes, Cass had a stinker and comes out for Forrester, Ojo injured which is a big blow and Butterworth dropped to keep us more defensively secure as a midfield. Conlon and Walker come in.

Big game for Garrity and Conlon who have yet to step up how we’d hope against Championship level midfielders.

Hopefully the highlight of the day isn’t getting one of our stunning warm up tops that are finally on sale!

Cost me a fortune this club!

Not happy we haven't got Gregory as an option, hopefully he is just not being risked due to a knock.

I’m happy purely because we would have given him absolute pelters being ex lard and he’d have then scored Adrian Littlejohn style!

Just seen our team news.

Anything over than a Cheltenham win would be an upset today. Marosi is out with a dislocated finger so the worst goalkeeper to ever grace League One, Harry Burgoyne is in goal. On top of this we’re without George Nurse (joins Udoh in being out for the season) and Jordan Shipley has had to pull out of the warm up as his mrs has gone into labour.

We’ve got to be the unluckiest team with injuries/circumstances in League One.

Lump on Cheltenham, should be atleast two or three nil Cheltenham.

We are playing two up front today...which may make a difference...Fiabema can run around and tire their defenders out of the game and Wickham can play goal-hanger and stick the ball in the back of the net.

What two players who had never played a league game before?

He meant in relation to the league you are in. In the grand scheme of things there arent any basement teams who are what you can call 'good' as its the 4th tier

Nearly 2. Not a lot of silky football on show here. There will be more goals in this though.

Don’t know what has happened to our pitch but it resembles a beach on the Lorne Street side, unsurprisingly it’s bobbling about a bit.

Both teams probing though.

Burton do look like the weakest team we've played so far this season, but to say we are no threat to them would be an understatement. We don't have a clue

The sad thing is that I'm not sure that changing manager would make much difference at the moment...we are just completely out of our depth...you can polish a turd as much as you like, but it is still a turd.

Not all our players are dreadful, but IB's team selections (and substitutions) too often defy reason

You can make the turd smell slightly less bad though.

Fiabema is on the floor so often he seems to think he's playing for Wycombe

Interesting half. Wednesday clearly got 2 or 3 good players but equally they've kicked the ball out of play several times and aren't actually that good as a collective which is embarrassing given their budget. Ref has given us nothing and Wednesday everything, he's been awful but they do like to go down easily. No.7 spends most of the time on his arse. Pretty even really. Wilson played well.
