Seen the goal back on twitter, even better than it looked in the ground. Took that to beat us so can’t be too downbeat.

First half was very much even but as it went on we grew into the game on a pitch which did neither side any favours.

Second half I think we took more control albeit without creating too much and it took a superb hit to make the difference but after that we were in control I don't recall Stockdale having much to do in the 2nd half.

I am not a fan of some of the antics of our players mind and moaned when we had teams do it to us.

Yeah the pitch was a disgrace really, even if it was with a view to work for over the winter to present that in early October is not a good look.

I’d agree with all that. Think the one save if you can call it that from Stockdale was at the end when Stevens headed a corner to him. Other than that I thought we didn’t do enough up there. Something I will take though is in previous losses they’ve been self inflicted with defensive errors, today that wasn’t the case and instead we made the opposition come up with something to beat us. Good luck to Wednesday though not that I think you’ll need it. Just as well we have a nice easy one next at Derby

Cry me a fucking river.

That pitch was a fucking joke, good luck playing on it for the season.
It did look poor today. Don't know what they've been doing to it.

We didn't offer enough in behind second half but there was very little between the two sides. I'm not sure whether he meant the goal, just seemed to swing a leg at it off a clearance but it looked good.

My point still stands that there is very little difference in quality throughout the league. I stand by what I said, Wednesday should be head and shoulders above us but they weren't today.

What's going on with Stockdale by the way? He's about 18 stone! He shouldn't be that big as a professional athlete.

Fuck me. We won a game. With 10 men.
Wish I’d gone now. What a stupid decision they was.

You missed a classic, two top quality sides going at it hammer and tongs.

I hate Adeboyejo btw, stop scoring so many goals against us you greedy fuck.

Stupid Town fans trying to hold the ball and try to be funny ruins a good win.

Sounds like a good game. Not for you though, you should have seen that out against 10

He's surprised me, and I suffered watching Kevin Pressman for many years, he looks svelte compared to KP.

That's his 6th clean sheet of the season

The second half turned out to be the at-times thrilling bottom-of-the-table six-pointer it should have been from the start. The first half was merely tedious, just bottom-of-the-table.

Bolton, Peterborough, Port Vale and Portsmouth next. Sure we'll get loads of points against them.

Tbf you lot looked better then your position suggests. We on the other hand are flattered by our league position. We’ve lost to both yourselves and Morecambe in recent weeks. With the games we’ve got coming up we’ll soon be bottom though I expect.

We were poor today and didn’t really get into Derby at all, though we did gift them the first on a plate. If we hadn’t done that we may have nicked a draw but we weren’t worth it. *shrug*

One of the most comfortable wins of the season, outclassed Lincoln throughout without getting out of second gear.

Isn't that the point of loan players though? - if they dont improve your team what is the point?
You could say the same about Josh Coburn who we currently have on loan, who has already appeared in the Championship this season.
Its not even about losing loan players from last season anyway, its more that we have good defenders out injured at the moment.
But my point was that loans are very hit and miss. Particularly young loans with little experience. Barton landed on his feet last season with 2 that made the difference between promotion and not.

Fair enough. My first instinct was that it looked like a bit of a fluke but if he meant it then fair play. 9 times out of 10, they go over the stand.

Not looking forward to the visit of Bolton next week...it could be embarassing if they are on top of their game.

We did our absolute best to make a pigs ear out of that! Good to beat one of the top six, though.

We were the much better side throughout, aside from the two gifted penalties we gave them, Pompey didn't create anything.

The Argyle players should take a bow for being booed and encouraged to get on with things by the home fans. Though there was only four minutes added on, nearly all for the subs.

Oh yeah 99 times out of 100 it doesn’t go top bins but was a quality strike. Glad it was that and not the referee that decided it as it felt it was heading for something like that.

I have a Season Ticket for this season, but I will not be attending anymore home games until this utter fraud is sacked! I just get too angry and frustrated at his awful tactics and lineups! He’s the worst Manager in the entire football league in my opinion.

Remarkable performance. We have rightfully been applauded this season for playing some wonderful, free flowing football against most of the top sides in the division. Today couldn’t have been any different. We battled, we headered, we lumped long to a lone target man and we finally got the monkey off our back that is Wycombe Wanderers.

Was basically an anti-football masterclass against the anti-football masters.

Credit to Steven Schumacher again though, got his tactics spot on with his slight change to the system and incorporating every player over 6ft in our squad within our starting 11. A real promising young manager who will go a long way.

Fleetwood unfortunate not to get a point, visitors started very brightly and needed some good defending by town to stay in the game. Fair play, they weathered the storm and along the way played a lot of good football, albeit never really troubling their goalie. Just when you thought you had got yourself a hard earned point, bingo, they broke away and scored. Barnsley a good team who will be well up there end of April. Fleetwood not far off being a really decent team but need to start scoring some goals as at the back they be are pretty dolid

Could have got a point out of that as it seemed a very even game. First half we created more, but the game was settled by a wonder strike out of nothing. If that doesn't win goal of the season I'd like to see the one that does. Referee deserves a mention though - did he win a competition to be ref for the day? He was totally clueless.

We've played 3 of the big teams and not looked too far off it, but we need to be more creative. On to Derby next week which is the last big team we face for a few weeks.

The pitch was surprisingly bad and I'm not sure why, but did we really need to water it before the game?

Deserved a point there. Beaten by a fantastic strike from a Championship level player. You just have to applaud something like that (which I did in the ground tbf).

Pitch is appalling and as we get closer towards Winter, will probably decide how some games go tbh. Really needs addressing in summer 2023 that does.

Wednesday were very ordinary. Bannan clearly stood out in terms of his off the ball movement, his first touch, the little drops of the shoulder to quickly change direction and his precise passing. Expected, of course, but still nice to see.

Their time wasting was quite frankly pathetic at times. A side with that much apparent quality should not be resorting to those sort of tactics against sides like us really. I know we moaned about Pompey but it was totally different. Pompey were just shithousing, the dark arts, breaking the game down etc.. classic Cowley tactics. Wednesday were just downright cheating at points. Number 7 attempting to get Conlon sent off was absolutely laughable. I think Moore subbed him off out of sheer embarrassment more than anything. Goalkeeper was a joke too. It wasn't even when they took the lead either. Was doing it at 0-0 too.

Only a few though so not a sole representation of Wednesday as a whole so won't be tarring them all with the same brush as that'd be unfair.

Referee... hahahahahaha. Wow! I've been going to Vale for 27 years now since I was 5 years old, and that is head and shoulders the worst refereeing display I have ever seen in my life. No superlatives would do that justice. Minus 10/10.

That had no bearing on the result though. We didn't lose because of him. We lost to a world class strike, simple as that. We didn't do anywhere enough ourselves to justify a win but certainly acquitted ourselves very well, competed for the majority and deserved a creditable draw against a side that will be there or thereabouts.

Wednesday's support, as always, very good in numbers but very poor vocally. I've moved up the stand towards the halfway line now so have a much better understanding on noise than when you're in amongst our more vocal area and you get caught up in it and think you're louder than you actually are. Ours was flat too besides pre match and on the odd occasion we looked threatening and the referee riled us up a bit more.

Good luck for the rest of the season Owls. No hard feelings from me. Always preferred you to those mongy United fans anyway (can't fucking stand them personally).

Bolton H - drew 0-0.
Portsmouth H - lost 0-1.
Wednesday H - lost 0-1.

Hardly being outclassed by the top sides in this league, just lacking that extra little spark of quality to pinch tight games. We're more than holding our own though and will comfortably be mid table.
