Things that Notts County fans also said
Notts county are a great little club who unfortunatly have played second fiddle to there near neighbours
Denzel your team has never been anything but small. I doubt you have been to Bolton, but when you see the ground, hotel training ground etc.....you know it wont be long before it moves on up

Oh, and thanks Grimsby fans for making out that Jolley is a decent manager - you've made us look right mugs.
Just think we actually interviewed Jolley for the managers job, but we went for some unknown from Barren

Hope you have not spent that 250k on Dunnes pay off . You may need some for Jolley good fellow you have got,

Got to say in regards to Orient. McAnuff may be 7000 years old now but he was absolutely outstanding today.

Our fans moaning players at 35 are past it saw today it doesn’t always mean it!

He's one of the best center backs in the league. He would walk into your team.

Mate, your season has been more underwhelming than ours. We are one place lower than where we wanted to be - Bolton should be promoted by now.

Feel sorry for your fans, but I'm sure you'll get back to League One eventually.

Season??? last three seasons,
It is what it is I can see improvement on and off the field.
You have to appreciate the bad times to enjoy the good times. Despite the stunt your club pulled with furlough i still want you to stay up.

I saw us win at Burnden Park back in the day, in 1992 when there were 5000 there. One of our few victories but shows that we have been in the same league before.
I also saw a game at the Reebok the day after we played Accrington 7 or 8 years ago. I dont remember being bowled over, but then again even us yokels have been to Old Trafford, Anfield, Elland Road, Hillsborough....

Mansfield were very poor but I don’t believe they are that poor, they just played 3 games in the space of 8 days and we took full advantage.

This is why it is going to hurt teams once they start getting the fixture pile up. We didn’t get out of second gear really.

We’re safe from relegation now, still top but won’t be once Paul Mullin stops scoring. 22 in the league for him now.

Mansfield were not poor by any stretch in the first half, but a fair criticism for the second.

Totally agree with this. McAnuff is the kind of player every L2 club needs. Top pro.

As for the game- 1-1 a fair result. The lads worked really hard for it against what I think are a decent Orient side. Overall- a decent point away from home and Clarke should be fairly pleased with his first offence.

He's a fine example to every player in this league, he was decent today - Has his off days against the better sides and can't play every game, but still got great quality for this level. He's dug us out of the shit a few times, the fact we've performed better this season with him in the team after he was injured all of last season is no coincidence.

I'd keep him as a squad player for next season, losing him for his influence on the team alone will be difficult for us to replace.

If your happy your centre half turns away from a shot who am i to say anything
It wouldn't have made a jot of difference if he was facing the other way, Monthe (no 6) was in no position to do anything about it.

You could argue the lads who were trying to close him down could have made things more difficult, but once he'd done that cute turn, the shot was unstoppable. Bahamboula's goal is one of the best goals I've seen, so why not acknowledge that skill instead?

Our performance was so desperately low-tempo as always. Such a shame as we’re perfectly capable of ripping teams to shreds when we’re positive in possession. Embleton is a coward. Shaded the game, but Vale were well worth a point.

Cannot really go against what you are saying if Monthe had jumped and not turned i would doubt he would of got near the ball anyway.
That shot was as good as anything i have seen in any division

See you are turning what i said around. I said Bolton are geared and set up to simply not be in this league for any amount of time.
We are where we are because of mismanagement OFF the football field. The 4 grounds/teams mentioned are not in lge 2 so have simply no relevance
We started this season with a new management team and 22 new players. 14 of those players are simply not good enough for lge football. We have improved on the football field to a point where we have the strongest squad in the division [not team] It is off the field where despite us being in a pandemic we have made appointments and management decisions that will move this club on year on year.
Once this pandemic is over no clubs in this league will be able to compete with Bolton financially that is just a fact.

What a stupid comment, we've played one game with his majority signings!
I’m actually pretty confident we’ll start to turn around but I’ve seen some absurd comments regarding Hurst on Twitter. ‘He’s doing a magnificent job’ as we sit with a solitary point since his arrival.

Even with the new signings we failed to beat 10 men Newport and threw away a point against Stevenage with most of them.

To even suggest it’s started anything other than terrible under Hurst is naive.

Okocha was a brilliant player to watch
He used to go through games with that smile on his face trying outrageous flicks or shots......some came off some went way wide.
It was in games that really mattered that he simply ran the show.
We played Aston villa in the Lge cup Semi final at the reebok......He ran the game scored 2 stunning free kicks and put in the best performance i have seen in a Bolton shirt.
Another time we played west ham we both were in danger of relegation with 3 or 4 games left in the season basically the loser went down.
He went close hitting the post and on the stroke of half time he picked the ball up just in his own half ran 35 yards and hit one from 20 yards that won us the game.

Of course its been poor we haven't won a game, however until the Newport game the majority of the side was still Holloways rubbish (only 4 Hurst players started against Stevenage). But to say he's taken less points than Holloway is stupid, he's used his rubbish players for every game but one, and in Holloways last 6 games he only managed to beat a poor Scunny side 1-0 in a dour game where one goal from either side was going to win it.

Yes we should be beating 10 men and yes we shouldn't concede such poor goals, however any side that puts 10 behind the ball is difficult to break down, many teams have struggled to do that, especially ones devoid of confidence, goals and sat at the bottom of the league. We played very well against Newport, just didn't get the result deserved.

Maybe it was a one of, maybe it wasn't, I still believe we will go down and won't be blaming Hurst for it unless we play poorly and fail to win. If we put up a fight and win 6+ of our final 19 then I think he would have done the best he can do with the squad we have.

Only thing I will blame him for so far is not getting in players earlier in the window, but how much of that is down to money/squad limits (prior to salary cap being removed) and our position meaning players wouldn't come is any ones guess.
