Dire for 20 minutes, scored a sucker punch and then looked fairly comfortable but giving away too many sloppy free kicks and really poorly defended one, reminded me of the goal Grimsby scored against us a couple of seasons back where the wall just parted! Unlucky there as their lad ran into Leggey and he’s had to go off with a nasty injury.

Haven’t really threatened and been over run in the middle. If I was Clarke I would be getting another central midfielder on to deal with their central two.

Covolan is absolutely bonkers. How we got away with that, did the same as against Northampton only about six yards from goal and luckily out strengthend their lad to reclaim it. Christ.

Hawkins looks a real threat now he’s stopped throwing himself to the floor and started battling for everything. Oates looks good to, that partnership will cause a lot of problems for teams this season.

Agree except regarding Oates, it’s Danny Johnson and Hawkins that’s the partnership that’s not clicked yet. Oates plays behind them but Lapslie is better option for me.

Far far better second half once we made the change and had enough chances to win it but again just isn’t falling for us.

More disappointment for us. Story of our season remains that of strong first halves in which we should have scored more than we do followed by increasingly tense second halves and in this case made to regret it.

Positive is clough looks closer to match fitness, He had an impact after coming on this time. Defence still looks mostly solid, at least until the second half pressure forces a mistake.

Two average teams playing basic football with very little skill.

It's purgatory.

Maybe one day we'll escape the tedium.
