Far far better second half once we made the change and had enough chances to win it but again just isn’t falling for us.

Aye completely agree. Was night and day to the first half. Keep saying it but play like the second half and we’ll be on our way. Garrity’s energy was crucial as we were losing that battle badly.

Genuinely think the difference maker will be the return of Conlon when it happens.

I forgot how wank it is to follow football, last minute penalty for Colchester then a last minute winner for Bradford, we didn’t deserve either but that’s the way it goes for a Mansfield fan!

You mustve had a great view for your "penalty" as well.

But I fully accept Sweeney had an awful game, not sure he should be double yellowed, but glad we took him off.
I did. Clear penalty. Not really worth discussing.

Still not a really convincing performance despite getting six, but if we can steady the defence a bit more we'll be golden, as going forward it's obviously clicking. Rob Edwards was a defender himself IIRC.

Prediction came true, there was nothing ever more certain. Hopefully we will just award Harrogate the three points from now on, seems silly to waste 90 minutes of effort for a foregone conclusion.

What a ridiculous, amazing, supremely entertaining game. Hope Yems doesn't go full Stalin on his team - in the first half we were pretty equally matched.

Still worried about the depth of our squad. Young has talent but is raw and unpolished, Aitchinson needs to sharpen up a bit as well. But without Matt and Stevens on the pitch (as well as Dokes injured) we became a bit lightweight, at times. But.

What a game though. Wasn't expecting that at all. Only thing nearly as pleasing as that is seeing Salford just neighbouring the relegation zone

Great win for the County especially with Flynn not in attendance after testing positive for Covid-19. Fisher gets off the mark as well.

What a win, great game back and forth second half after a very scrappy game first half. Neither side deserved to lose but big bad Cook wanted to spoil his old teams day and we won’t complain.

Mansfield seem to have had luck against them last few games but that usually takes care of it’s self over a season. If they aren’t up there at the end they’ll be something wrong. Vernam was the difference second half turning into a real game changer for us.

lost 2-1 at Harrogate - lucky equaliser from adeflection then a brake away winner - both from Pattinson. ex Southend keeper Oxley made 2 big saves for Harrogate at 1-0.
we never beat Harrogate....

Just to add as well the Hartlepool fans were bang on about Lewis Cass. What a player he looks like.

Good win for us today. I'd take 6 out 9 so far. Can't comment as wasn't there but second half we sounded good. Tyler Burey could be an important player by the look of it.

He's mint to be fair, different gravy. I'm surprised he hasn't featured much for Vale yet?

I think our next home game will be more tricky. FGR.
Thought we took the foot off a bit there, hardly surprising.
They had to score a Worldie to get past our defence.

To be fair, you still had 9 minutes, including injury time, to equalise, however, I would say we were looking the more likely to score again in that period

I agree but don’t tell me we deserved to lose that, point be fair. We better team first 50 then once we scored second you edged it.

I think if you had to push to say who was the better side you'd just about have to plump for us, however bradford didn’t have suicidal defending which is the reason why we lost.

The space down the left in the 2nd half was incredible to have everyone back and concede a free header for the 1st, the communication between the defence and the keep remains a major concern.

2 really decent sides and i thought bradford were a top, top side full of quality. midfield and attacking wise mansfield were a match for bradford at the least, sort the defending (which were already aware of) and we’ve much to look forward to. thought we were unlucky to concede the 3rd but that’s what i used to love about cook, no have a sniff all game and do little but be alert enough to get the winner.

Carry on with that crazy batshit defending and we’re going to be mid table.0

Aye I think it’s just been at first trying to figure what role to have him in. For me he has to be one of the first defenders named on the team sheet with his versatility and technical ability.

Got a bit lucky to nick a win at Salford. But also fuck it we almost didn't have a club.

Makings of a decent team. Think we will get better.

Right sided centre half in a 3 is where we saw the best of him. Not a bad attacking full back or wing back either.

Brilliant shithousing at the end, too! Anthony Grant and Jonny Williams go to the top of the class!

Another welcome point.

But it’s a huge concern how toothless we are. Woefully inept in the final third. First half especially we had so many opportunities to make something happen in good areas, but yet again didn’t have a clue what to do. The equaliser was inevitable despite Orient not really threatening until then because they could commit players forward knowing it would take a miracle (or another penalty) for us to threaten at the other end.

Another notable concern is how whether we’re winning or not, we always seem to spend the last 15 minutes of games on the back foot, pinned back in our own half. Worrying signs.

I would have been happy with a point that's for sure. You have recruited well this summer, Hawkins is a right handful, and you will be challenging that's for sure.

Stags best team in the first half, Bantams best team in the second half

17 games without a win, how greatm

Our game was such a low quality game of football, it was awful. Sutton didn't look like scoring in the 2nd half until they did and then they looked like they were gonna win it.

I think our game at Sutton later in the season is gonna be a big relegation 6 pointer, were both gonna be in a lot of trouble this season.

Woeful in the final third.

Fitness levels and tactics are a concern regarding the last 20 minutes of games.

On that showing both Carlisle and Orient will be lucky to see the sunny side of 18th come the seasons end.

Vast improvement required from both.

To be fair, it required an excellent save from Vigoroux to deny Dickenson first half, that shot was worth us going 2-0 up.

Abrahams was good again but he gets into positions to cross it and there's nobody looking to get onto it, not even Mellish. Clough had a greater impact today than he did at Port Vale so hopefully he's approaching match fitness .

I'm a little bit annoyed to have lost but only because it was two good teams and we were at least worth a draw. We self destructed. We could have prevented the goals by preventing the overloads on the right side of our team. I heard the team were straight out on the training field after the game.

I really can't fault Bradford. They barely wasted any time, they weren't dirty at all and they tried to play for the whole game. If we finish above them we'll stand a good chance of automatic promotion or maybe even champions.

I’m pinning my hopes on Clough. Alessandra and Abrahams are good players obviously, but I’d be surprised if they get more than 10 goals between them over a season.
Dickenson gets into great crossing positions, but there’s never anyone in the middle or running onto the back post.
