Yay! We got a "That's a stupid question" in Yems' interview.

A bit harsh as the interviewer was trying to look for positives.

I think Stirk did quite well when he came on, I heard the interview and yikes! I’ll be honest I think Clough deserves criticism for not being able to sort that out during the game.

Clough is fuming with Rawson too. I understand to a certain extent his anger because we shouldn’t have thrown that game away.

Maybe clough should be looking at himself, the issues down the right hand side were there all half and he didn’t do anything to address it, not before the 2nd goal and not before the 3rd, tbh it’s poor management.

Hewitt isn’t that great but to hang him out to dry when he’s played him out of position with no cover is really poor.

I agree. He hasn't done Hewitt any favours. That said I disagree with Stagsnet that it's poor man management speaking about it in interview if there is trust between the two.

Pleased with a point oop at the white walkers’ gaff. Obviously not anywhere near our best, but picking up a draw from a tough trip augers well for the future.

Carlisle fans - how was Shad Ogie when he came on? Surprised that Jayden Sweeney started ahead of him tbh because Ogie is that one that has looked first team ready to me.

Classic Angol. Think he banged in 6 or 7 for us last pre-season. One goal, a sending off and a hamstring tear in his first 10 League games incoming.

AR27 Shame for him/you, but it’s all he ever does.

Farman's howler did for us today. We were settling in to see out the game after Zanzala went off, and then he went and dropped the easiest catch. It'll look awful on the highlights, I'm sure. After that, we just seemed all over the place, after being much the better team for most the match.

Harrogate are a team of divers and don't look especially good. Still they know they're guaranteed three points against us.

Let’s not get too carried away, he’s still awaiting a scan.
Adams says he's had a scan and it looks like a torn hamstring. Just waiting on whether he needs surgery or not.

Good game between two good teams. Everyone said we'd be playing some absolute atrocious football with Adams in charge, but I'm enjoying what I've seen so far. Vernam and Ridehalgh are forming a great partnership down the left. Thought Songo looked off it in the first half but improved in the second - guess that's just because he's just back fit. Mansfield played some good stuff and Hawkins was a real threat.

Thought a point each would have been fair really. Be surprised if we're both not in the top 7 come the end of the season

On a positive side I think it took us around 8 games to accumulate this number of points last season, and we finally won at the 9th attempt. Cooper was massively pissed off about the result, a stark difference to Dunn feeling sorry for himself.

Sutton could do with getting that monkey off their back soonish too.

Very happy with today's efforts. Don't know if Walsall are any good (I suspect not) but we were comfortable throughout most of the match. The downside was the not insignificant number of people who booed the taking of the knee, from both the Town End and (much more so) the north end of the Mill House. There is still a lot of ignorance in the town.

That's now 15-1-1 from our last 17 home league games (plus one win in the playoffs) and two from two since the step back up. Still think it will be a tough old season but you have to be encouraged by such a show of home strength

My god man, you're obsessed. And you have a weird obsession with assault and violence, which is pretty worrying.

Drop it and move on with your life.

Didn't see our game today, no idea what happened but ah well. Looking forward to reading the no doubt absolute melt down on our forum.

Exeter fans, was it as dominant as the scoreline suggests?

Having seen the goals in our game I really believe those who were in our supposed defensive wall need to give their heads a wobble. Not good enough to just part like that.

He looked really good, composed, quick and strong, but then Sweeney had a mare today so he did look good by comparison.

That's the last time I go to Carlisle, arrived to an anti Vax protest in the town centre, then treated to that boring 1-1, VPN for me next time.

Seems like he actually took responsibility this time. And by responsibility, I mean he said he doesn't know why/what happened. Baby steps.

But as I've mentioned in a post above, I haven't seen the game so know absolutely nothing about it.

Can you imagine being so fucking stupid that you go to an anti vax protest.

Fuck sake these people don’t deserve to live somewhere where you actually have access to a jab that saves lives and are free and readily available to any over 16 that wants one, and has allowed life to get back close to normal.

There’s millions of people round the world desperate to get jabbed and then on the other hand you get these conspiracy theory c*** who have to have something to moan about so invent shit so they can protest. Which is risking vulnerable peoples lives for nothing.
Utter bellends.

He seems to think that Rovers are the biggest club in the division and everyone ups their game against them.
Well its not hard to look good when the opposition is poor.

Superb first half hour and we should really have scored more, but Dawson also made some good saves.
I think our new signings are finally starting to click and there is genuine competition for places.

Sort out a few gaps in the defence and you will be fine.

Tbf, apart from Bradford and potentially Swindon - we are atm. But you're right, no one gives a sh*t. Christ we've been in this division enough times, it's hardly like when Pompey came down.

Defence is the one area I don't know anything about with this squad tbh, midfield generally seems ok, we need our strikers back from injury - although they're slowly coming.

But yeah defensively even despite battering Oldham, they could have nicked a goal themselves. Feel for the fans that travelled though, thats pretty brutal.

he said that against us, no-one at mansfield saw bristol rovers as a bigger club and found it rather amusing, especially after the win for us.

You’ve got to acknowledge the league you’re in before understanding it.

Did he?

I didn't see that, can you post a link please?

The only comment I found was post game Vs Mansfield, "As a group, no-one’s going to give us anything. We’re a big target for anybody and we’re going to have to turn up."

Seems pretty reasonable?

Overall I thought a point was about all both sides deserved today, but we was extremely lucky that we wasn't up against a more potent side in front of goal, because in that first half we were crap and in particular I thought our youngsters got a harsh lesson in playing against a side who play a certain way and whom are hard to get at. On another day the game would've probably been finished by half time.

Jackett made the right subs at half time, Harry Smith made big difference with his height and power.

Our left back Jayden Sweeney was making his full league debut and it was the wrong call to make in the end, he was lucky not to be sent off and got the run around from Joe Riley and George Tanner. Shadrach Ogie whom tbh has always been the superior player came on at half time and performed so well for us in that second half. I heard that Jackett and Conor Wood have had a bit of a falling out already, which was why he was on the bench today and didn't even come on.

Carlisle play a certain way, very tough to get at, but they had a huge wobble I thought after we equalised and again a more potent team may have smelt blood and nicked a win. Carlisle are another side like ourselves, lacking that real cutting edge in front of goal which will probably mean another finish in the top half and maybe top ten again but missing out on the drama of the playoffs.

The penalty I thought was harsh, but those ones always even themselves out as the season goes on.

That will be his 4th hamstring injury in 2 years then, he had 3 with us and it ruled him out for 3/4 months each time.

The guy whilst he does have some talent, he will probably never go anywhere in the game as he's always got torn hamstrings.

Why would you be a big target for anyone? You can't even claim a local Derby for that.

Its classic deflection, make it about the other team rather than your own performance.
