Not a great game so far Cambridge v Bolton, way below our standard in recent games. Not much happened, all a bit stop start. We need to up the pace as we've wanted too many touches. I'd probably bring Ironside on and get Mullin some support.

We started that game so slow, there was a lack of energy. Don’t know if that’s tiredness or complacency. After Grimsby scored we improved and shaded it from then on but didn’t create enough. We need to continue and better that level into the second half if we’re to have chance of getting something.

I’d take a point now.

Difference Amoo makes but we’ve set up more attacking as well and taken them apart first half. Always a risk at the back but hopefully we can get at least another.

We just need to be ready to make any adjustments as am sure their manager will be changing things up quickly based on that half. That's Askeys big challenge now.

I would respectfully point out to Bottega Don that, back in the 70s due to illness Exeter were unable to raise even a squad to travel to Scunthorpe.

Despite appeals, not only did we forfeit the points but the odious Bob Lord added insult to injury by imposing a punitive fine...£5 k was a chunky penalty for a Div 4 club in those days and, in fact, I think even the "mighty Spurs" were fined less in similar circumstances.

Still, at least we managed to reclaim the points today. Small mercies!
