Should be a good tussle at the Bescot on Saturday with Monte and Clarke vs Big Nev and Hemings.

Not too confident going I to this game with Mansfield. They seem to have hit abit of form after a slow start. Weve been pretty solid so far if not spectacular. Missing King and Williams on international duty also doesn't help. I'd certainly take a draw if you offered it me now.

interesting stats on the Orient forum;-
We've had the 2nd hardest fixtures in the top 11 so far this season.
Orient have had the 2nd easiest in the whole league.
Every time we've scored 1st we've won.
Every time we have conceded the 1st we've lost.
We've conceded 1 1st half goal in 9 games.

For a team that's unbeaten their fans don't sound confident - the 1st 6 predictors have 2 Barrow wins, 3 draws and only 1 Orient win.

Who have had the easiest? Carlisle?

The 'easiest fixtures' thing is obviously flawed logic, but it's probably encouraging for us that we've beaten some of the teams that are considered decent and still have the basket case clubs left to play.

It's only natural to talk your own team's chances down, but in reality Orient have to be massive favourites. They've scored loads and we're without a key defender.

How's the easiest thing calculated? Purely on current league position?

they based it on the average points that all the opposing teams have got this season - based on that things look bad for Gillingham....

Yeah, it's a tough one to quantify really. We had Orient away and Northampton at home to start with but then I guess on paper ours do look fairly easy. We did however have to go away to Newport when they hit a bit of form and I'm always wary of playing teams like Gillingham who were in such bad form that they were chomping at the bit to get a goal/point(s) at our place.

Regardless of result I just want to see a vast improvement. Hopefully these players have had a rocket up their arse this week and we see an eleven that wants to be out there and playing for their manager on Saturday.

Big 6 pointer, let’s fucking have it

Clarke's been dropped by Walsall, while Nevitt has been out of form recently and may also be at risk. I was unaware until reading on a Rovers forum, quite how bad our recent form has been v the Saddlers. Last season we lost after they'd just sacked their manager. with Clarke gifting them a penalty. Think I'd take a draw.

We are in good shape at the moment and I fancy us to take all three points.

I’ve only just clocked that Walsall haven’t won a league game since 6th August.

Enter Tranmere Rovers FC…

Surprising that. They gave us our toughest challenge at Valley Parade so far this season and dominated possession. We just happened to take our chances on the day whereas they were woeful in front of goal.

We have a fair amount of injuries ourselves, but the last two away performances at Donny and Gillinghqm we won convincingly. I expect a tougher game tomorrow.

Clash of the titans at Gander Green Lane tomorrow as Sutton host Salford City.

Both games between the two finished goalless last season and tomorrow promises to be another exciting encounter.

With our home form being what it is, I’m verging on being almost optimistic about getting something from tomorrow’s game. However Salford have only dropped points in one away game thus far so it’ll be tough for sure.

They came to our place unbeaten - they were 2-0 down in 12 minutes and have never recovered from the shame.

Glamour fixture of the weekend - Grimsby v Swindon.

Both unbeaten since the first day of the season. We have a poor record up there, but we also had a poor record at Donny until last Saturday.

You will have to play far better than you did against us last week.
We were crap.

Really? Haven’t checked but you always feel like a bit of a bogey side to me at Blundell Park.

On another note the ref for tomorrow is Declan Bourne, by far the worst referee I’ve ever seen and I’ve seen some shite ones.

Last time he reffed us was away at Salford and if anyone has a spare 1:30 have a look at this amazing performance from him:

Oh and the bit where he brings play back when we are clean through was for a foul to us.

So the reason I didn’t predict this earlier in the week was because the rate our players are dropping with injuries, 4 days is a long time so it’s impossible to visualise how we’ll set up. And so it turns out, 2 more of our players have now dropped out. Omari Patrick is out, kristian Dennis is a big doubt so that means we’re down to one striker in Jack Stretton. A player who has yet to start a league game and in all honesty doesn’t look ready for league 2 football.

I was originally thinking we could get a point here, but we are down to the bare bones and will offer zero attacking threat. Therefore I just can’t see anything other than a Newport win sadly, which won’t be ideal going into a fixture away at Grimsby where already our manager has said we’ll probably lose.

Newport 2-0 Carlisle

‘In games at Grimsby though its a totally different story with Town winning only 5 times in the 24 meetings at Blundell Park with 4 draws and 15 defeats, with us scoring 25 and conceding 40 times.’

Crawley at home, I don’t think McSheffrey has it in him to tactically impose our game on any opposition given that both the players and us fans haven’t a clue what our game plan is. If we are lucky we might get a draw

What a player Matete was. Gave at least some value to all those squandered iFollow tenners throughout a woeful season.

I feel like the malaise at Pools has been lifted with the Hartley sacking, popular coach Tony Sweeney is back on first team duties, new manager and assistant, hopefully fresh ideas, a team with a game plan, shots on target, running, tackling, passing all the things we’ve barely done this season.

Must win.
If Curle can get a tune out of this bag of shyte,he's a magician.

Sterry/Ferguson wingbacks, two upfront and some combination of arse kickers and mobility in the midfield he'll win fans over in an instant.
