You guys have looked class, very shaky opening 30 from us, Smyth showing his class why he should be playing at a higher level

That goal has taken the wind out of us though.

Swindon look a decent side, pass it around well, but having said that they haven't done a huge amount with it, apart from making our defence look crap when they eventually get forward. Not sure what happened for both goals, seem to have forgotten how to defend corners, and god knows what Smith was doing for the second.

Thought we had just started to come back into before their second and was looking most likely to score again.

Hopefully we do what we normally do I'm second halves because we can win this, but it's not going to be easy. We need to get better in midfield though, because Hunt and Holohan are not in this game.

Well taken goal from Smyth, against the run of play so far.

It’s what we do. Just deadly in the final third. Barrow had an excellent, high energy first 30 but seemed to run out of ideas a bit. Expect some world class shithousing if it’s still 1-0 after 60 minutes.

Started poorly then basically dominated the game but poor last pass or decision stopped us going in front. Eventually found a way through for a deserved lead then went to sleep and let Crawley equalise in less than a minute. Typical Donny performance

it’s a good job we’ve been picking up points at home and I hope to god it continues, because I honestly don’t think this team will win an away game all season. We look totally bereft of any ideas when we set foot in an away ground. You’d think we’d left all our footballers at home and just got 11 random blokes off the streets of Newport to play for us today. Dire stuff.

Got to try and scrape a point here, somehow. We’ve got nothing going forward but they’ve been struggling for a reason. Need a set piece or an own goal or something.

Tight contest to date at GGL. We’ve had the better chances, Salford as you’d expect against us having plenty of the ball.

Thought the free kick for the Donny goal should have gone to us but we half cleared it then let them out the ball back to the far post...was it an og?

Went up the other end and scored. Did think it may have been offside when passed through to Nadersan but a nice little lat off for Tilley to stroke (scuff) into the net.

Time for our half time Horlicks.

No goals at The Bescot. The Saddlers had more attacking chances in the first half but Rovers defending ok. Morris on against his old club

Shit ref alert gone our way. Khan on a yellow judged to have fouled Glennon, on first viewing it wasn't even a foul.

Thought Stockport were pretty poor today. We weren’t great first half and Stockport weren’t either. Two good half time subs from Brady really swung it our way.

Super Sam with his 11th of the season, a wonderful strike

Winning 2-1 after a Miller pen but Crawley look more than capable of scoring every time they attack and now 3-1 another from Miller

Typical Stags performance it sounds like so far, do so much right and look comfortable except failing to score, then out of nowhere shambolic defending and we are 1-0 down.

0-2. Another good strike. We've got too many off the boil today to meet the standard of previous performances, but that's mainly because Orient have nullified us very well after that first half an hour. I'll be very surprised if they aren't automatically promoted.

How was he today? Tidy but entirely ineffective?

2-0 Orient. Very professional performance this, 2 good strikes, young defence performed exceptionally well since shaky opening. Impressed by Barrow tho

We’ve scrapped an equaliser from a set piece. We were only ever scoring from a set piece or OG.

Hopefully we hold out for a point. 2 awful teams, but we’re marginally worse.

Thought Farman should have saved it tbh. Dribbled in from 25 yards. We are quite good, eh?

Josh Kay sent off. First yellow was well deserved; second one off camera.

Not sure what Kay did but it seemed to be a straight red, he's a walking red card at times. Our commentators suggested there was handbags between him and Archibald so they couldn't understand why the latter didn't get a second yellow. Won't make a difference anyhow.

EDIT: Kay's red was for calling the ref something according to someone there.

Oh, haha. I thought you were taking about Otis :ffs:

Oh, he's been injured all season, actually came on at half time today, didn't look too bad until the sending off.

Think the sending off was the worst thing to happen to us to be honest. We came out the second half looking a lot better, but the sending off just made Swindon sit back and defend the lead which we couldn't break down.

Disappointed with that, Swindon looked a decent side but thought we were looking good for a point even before the sending off. Unfortunately too many of our decent players having off days today, Glennon, Hunt and Smith in particular looked poor.

Not sure how the two goal mouth scrambles in injury time stayed out either.

Killed ourselves against Salford and gifted an average side the points. Stupid sending off when 1 up and in control.

Archibald should never have got a yellow in the first place. Committed a basic foul then got piledriven to the ground by Kay who was deservedly booked.

Great win for us. Barrow were very good for that first half hour. We’ve just got more quality in the final third than the average L2 team and we’re extremely professional elsewhere. Only 22 more points to safety…

1-1 between two really poor teams.

From a Carlisle point of view, great point as it was a diabolical performance. Had a go at the end but more performances like that won’t end our dismal winless run away from home.
