Guiseley = utter garbage
Weak referee + Dover antics = 0-4 with two of those penalties.
Start again at Southport next week.

8 clear of 22nd
4 clear of 21st with a game in hand
3 clear of 20th with 2 games in hand
1 behind 18th with 2 games in hand
2 behind 17th with 2 games in hand

Who would have guessed that would happen at 3:25 this afternoon?

Failed to put Braintree to the sword despite numerous clear cut chances, but we got the job done.

Lincoln can hold off that victory parade for a bit longer.

Looks like a short stay in this league.
If don't win Tuesday away at Macclesfield that's us gone

From a mate there, they were definitely pens, but southern refs don't give us those crabble

As it stands if you win your games in hand and just match your rivals points wise other than that you stay up, I'm more worried about you catching us than Torquay

We're in a playoff position with 6 games to go? How has this happened?

It's a bit late for us to start winning games again, but at least it gets us off the bottom of the league. Having Brodie and Almond starting up top was like old times!

Wrexham fans have been taunting us since we began our freefall with 'mind the gap' comments, but after today's late win we are only 5 points behind them with 2 games in hand. I would have thought they were too far ahead to catch.

Probably both penalties to be fair but on both occasions there were fouls on our defenders not given in the build up which was frustrating., especially the first when Miller barged over Danny Lowe before running into the box.
Dover played the ref well and took advantage. We were abysmal and deserved nothing from the game.

Just back. What the fuck was that second half. Done well in the first despite allowing some free headers then nick the goal but second half we didn't know whether to shit or bust. If that's our big game spirit playoffs aren't exactly going to offer much hope.

Looking like 2 from Woking, Torquay and York to join Southport and Ferriby now. Maidstone should be OK with their games in hand.

Too much home results thrown away this season:

Guiseley D
Braintree L
Maidstone L
Southport D
Ferriby D

We've had it I would say.

Buzzing. Can't believe what's happened to us since Christmas. We're really going to miss Benyu when he leaves after next week, just hope we can sneak our way into the play-offs then anything can happen.

We've still to play Dover at home. If either team wins it makes them favourite imho.

I'm still clinging onto the hope that it'll be our home game against Dover on the last day of the season that decides it. If we're both still mathematically in it by then, it'll be a huge occasion.

Thought you looked really solid today, started off for a point then realised Macc had nothing going forward and took your chances, better team won in the day that's for sure.

Well....not quite. 'Mind the gap' was something X Factor contestant Wagner (of all people) directed at John Rooney at the behest of Chester fans when you were 7 points ahead of us. When we overtook you it was just humorous to throw that back in your faces.

Before the game today you were adamant you'd be going down. Now you are going to win both games in hand?

Quite the flip flop. Are you a politician?

As I predicted, following an excellent result in mid-week over Braintree, we followed it up with a complete and utter disaster. Managed to go 2-0 up but then conceded from our own corner. Then a half hour of utter calamitous defending in the second half gifted them three goals.

Hill's substitutions were strange and he's rightly getting plenty of flak on our forum. It's frustrating that he never admits to his mistakes - I don't think in the six years he's been here I've ever heard him accept that he's got anything wrong. Some want him gone but there's no point in that because it will just waste yet more money we don't have. Best that we go down anyway, otherwise we're in for a Hyde-type season next year.

Only Southport have conceded more goals than us.

Jake Caprice thinks we're too good to go down.

Wonder if Sparrow will do what he's been pushing DSL to do for years and actually stick to the Conference South forum next season.

Can't see too many being heartbroken. Maybe one.

I've always maintained that I would post in the Conference South forum in the event of Woking being relegated, out of respect for the forum rules. You may not have seen me post that after you cried off the forum when Lincoln were rubbish, so here's one of them:
When Woking get relegated next season, I shall post only about Woking's matches in the Conference South thread.

That said, with Ebbsfleet likely to get promoted and no disrespect to Aberstone, who I still feel sorry for having been pushed off his moderator throne by the bullish 'DSL', there isn't much point in sticking around with so few posters.

Maybe we can do an all division match thread from next year, can't hurt.

To be fair, Dover's two games in hand should see them above you. They must be favourites for fifth.

We've still to play Dover at home. If either team wins it makes them favourite imho.

Personally im not going to worry about what others are doing. If we win 4 of our last 6 games we'll be in the playoffs, if we don't, we won't.

We're not safe yet, those games in hand are against Macclesfield and Lincoln!
