Not saying Bolton are in a false position but I don’t think they’re anything special either. Their last 4 wins were against sides at the bottom end of the table. Be interesting to see how they get on when they’re back playing against some of the leagues better opposition
Completely agree with this. We've shored things up at the back by going to a back four after losing to you in Jan, but we don't look very incisive in attack. We don't create many clear-cut chances and are seemingly riding our luck at the moment.

Barrow executed their game plan brilliantly today so credit to them just couldn't quite hold out. Best defensive performance I've seen in a long time.

Interesting that Jamie Devitt has come out and said it wasn't a penalty for Barrow. I also think our goal was onside.

Well it would have been a great night under the floodlights for sure.... away end holds 3600 but no doubt there would have been a few more scattered, not sure another 1400+ would have sneaked in lol

You’d have given us the Frizzel end again I imagine. Shame, would have been a good crowd on and atmosphere.

As for today, really poor performance. In control throughout but just didn’t look like scoring.

Don’t care how we play though when we’re picking up three points.

Feel for Barrow fans, waited all these years to see their team back in the football league and they’re not even gonna get a chance to attend a game.

Maybe yes, that would have been 4600.
Would have been a taty night, one team in the play offs and one 6 points off if we beat you.
As long as you win it doesnt matter how you get them, good luck tues

Deserved win for us at Walsall. Well in control of the game at 0-2 and Walsall only came into it after they scored but still didn't really create anything. Another cracking goal by Levi Sutton whose transformation since McCall was sacked is quite something.

Well BBC Essex have been pretty scathing about that performance, sounds like another new low.

That’s a massive win! Hello Carver old boy how are ya?

Unless you're ever ahead of the points we'd have if we won our games in hand, I would not be so funny.

If you look at it five minutes from the end Tuesday Burgess hits a stunner that banana all over the place like Carlos but skipped just wide, today their lad hits one that 9 times out of 10 is down Hamil Road but that’s how it goes when your struggling for form I guess.

Aye very true, fine margins. At least now though teams are having to work hard or rely on a bit of magic to score against us. Compare that to the schoolboy level defending we showed against Tranmere and Mansfield to name but two where can see an improvement. Just hope people stay patient with DC, can see what he's doing and results will come eventually.

I thought Leyton Orient were decent first half and that Tranmere were somewhat fortuitous to go in at the break 1-0 to the good. Really bad mistake led to Tranmere’s 2nd goal and didn’t have to work too hard for the third either.
Vaughan and Woolery developing a great understanding up front. Both strikers are on fire at the moment

Yeah definitely, Mullin barely got a look in today, compare that with how much ease we let Vaughan score past us or even Mullin at their place.

Leggey was immense today, slapped him on Mullin and he was back to his old self so maybe there was issues with Askey but he’s come back in now and looks back to his best.

Players are buying into it and sure we will get games like today where we nick a goal and teams struggle to create against us.

Compare the back line the past week to how it was against Barrow, Mansfield, Tranmere etc etc and it’s chalk and cheese so that gives me hope we will get out of this mess.

If we can get some of the injured lads back we should see more going forward as well. I dare say it will end up coming down to the return of his holiness to try and save us as he has had to before!

We’ve had to play a right back as a wing back, then a left winger as wing back who’s never played there before today, an attacking midfielder as CDM with Joyce out so surely as bodies come back things will improve.

Two tougher games this week, away from home at Salford who haven’t lost in a year at home and Cheltenham so not going to get easier but if we play like today hopefully we can grind out something before a humdinger of a week against Oldham, Bolton and Newport all at home. (Then a bigger humdinger at Col U!)

Mate your team hasn't had Covid mixed with terrible weather, so just show some sympathy for the teams that have.

I thought Orient were one of the better footballing sides we have played, with some decent individuals. However, they were really poor around both boxes, rarely troubling our very solid defence in the first half and poor defensively when we did string attacking moves together. However, I think they would finish comfortably in the top half under a decent manager.

We were ruthless. We did not get anywhere near the level of the performance at Carlisle on Tuesday night, but won the game fairly comfortably without getting past second gear. Woolery is on fire at the moment and it was good to score three without Vaughan getting on the scoresheet, which has not happened too often this season.

Speaking of Vaughan, he came off injured and seemed to be in a lot of discomfort. If he is out for any length of time Aldoshimmy's top seven predictions might have to be revised. Hopefully it is nothing serious.

Fair assessment, I suspect the reactions of the Crawley players helped in the sending off. We aren't getting the benefit of decisions at the moment.
But we were never going to win that game. I understand needing to make changes when you're playing twice a week but I wouldn't change the formation as well and Fisher is not the answer.
Big games coming up at home, one more without Bowman and now without Parkes and possibly Sweeney, but we should still look to win them both if we bring in Randall and Key from the start
Agree with all of that, felt doom spread through my veins when I saw the line up, but confident we will bounce back and get our strongest 11 (available) out for the next one

Are you now looking for sympathy from me and others after you’ve been telling us all you will walk the league with your reserves?

I would have sympathy if you hadn’t given it large on here for so long. Lots of football to play but I like the fact you are now looking sympathy. Tail between his legs springs to mind.

He took a hefty kick to the side of the thigh from what I could see on iFollow. Hopefully it's just a bit of a dead leg.

Yes because at that time we were really the only good team in this league and since we're currently no longer that good anymore thanks to these problems which were out of the our control, there are no good teams at all.

Had none of our games been called off we would be top and ahead of you by at least 5 points and I truly believe that.

How come every time I see that Oldham players name I can’t help thinking of the old channel 4 teletext quiz?

That's a really encouraging win after the enforced personnel changes and Ebou getting himself sent off again, albeit Col U are in a bit of a tailspin. Matt just keeps improving and our alternatives are all stepping up. Probably do need another body or two in somehow as we're paper thin on personnel and more injuries always a possibility but that's made me more convinced we'll keep the pace up.
Tried to get up for game but it was wee small hours here and slept through, not sure if the third was an OG or not - results sites say it was, ours and their official site give it to Godwin Maliffe I think.
