Solid enough away at Leyton Orient. They had a spell of 5 minutes after they pulled one back but that aside we were comfortable.

Back to back wins exactly what was needed after taking 1 point from Stevenage and Oldham. Two home games to come and hopefully we can keep this form going!

Got what we deserved today, thankfully we only lost 1 point on one team at the bottom so it could’ve been a lot worse.

Could have had a penalty at one end and they go up the other end and score from an offside position apparently. Sums up our season if that's the case.

absolutely robbed at Bolton - stonewall pen in the 91st min missed by the ref and then the lino at the other end lets Bolton get away with a clearly offside goal ffs.
Bolton were nothing special at all....

Not saying Bolton are in a false position but I don’t think they’re anything special either. Their last 4 wins were against sides at the bottom end of the table. Be interesting to see how they get on when they’re back playing against some of the leagues better opposition

Hope it doesn't come down to one point for us, because that feels like the ref has robbed us.
Truly awful match for the neutral but we played to our plan perfectly - had the best chances of the match too, but great save from Gilks, and if Brough had a right foot he was through one on one.

Evatt's still a twat.

Real sickener. Deserved a point but didn’t take our chance and they score a late worldie out of nothing.

Injuries mounting up looks bleak.

Disappointing loss after what was a hard working performance. Stunning goal for them in fairness.

Shame as the defence again did well but no quality up top.

Penalty looked like one they'd definitely give with var. Offside may actually be behind our player. Hard to tell when he plays the ball but he may be on.

Think we've struggled to break teams down when they sit in. Would have to see if we are any better now against teams more open.

Well that went as expected but at least we managed to score - From a centre half who's been out of the team for months on end.

We pissed around with possession and offered little as we have done all throughout the second half of the season, Tranmere took their chances in their good spells and were worthy winners - Thats what you get when you're managed by a proper manager.

We showed some fight - Amazing how better we look when our most threatening player is NOT stuck at left back, could well have been 3-2 if not for Scott Davies but not to be.

7 without a win for us I believe now and only 2 goals scored, our fans now firmly want Ross Embleton sacked, I was going to wait to see how we performed Tuesday at Grimsby before joining that camp, but after that display from us today its clear to see that the writing is slowly being written on the wall.

Ross Embleton won't be in charge of us at the end of the season, its now a matter of when and not if he is sacked. He isn't turning this around - We're just lucky the bottom two lost today.

It’s just another frustrating afternoon. Cambridge were meh and despite our injury crisis we’ve played well enough, kept them to very little but we have to look on that Guthrie missed chance.

Two tougher games up now away from home realistically, looks like Monty went off injured so real bare bones now.

I'd like to send a crate of lemons to Vale's co commentator, the plonker with the whiny voice. Anybody knows his home address? He must've mentioned Guthrie's one on one with Burton about a thousand times, but no mention at all of the saves that Brown pulled off to keep Vale level before O'Neil's stunner.

One of the poorest commentaries I've had to endure this season.

We were poor today and Vale defended very well - Leon Legge is still immense against balls into the box, why did they ever drop him?!?

Couldn't really get going all day, although we did still create a few chances. Feels like a big win in terms of keeping momentum.

Our season is over now, going all them weeks without playing has fucked our chances and now we've become a shit team.

I wish our manager would bloody change something.

Thought you looked strong first half, we were very poor but thats not taking anything away from you, second half we just improved by tweaking things.
We have players who can change games, wish they would turn up every week.

Think he definitely needs to mix it up, just to try and change the mentality and get some fresh heads on the pitch. Charters hasn't even been making the bench lately, and Furman's not getting a chance.

Averaging 2.3 points per game since T and S took charge - 30 points from 13 games - WOW!

We have some very interesting games coming up which will almost certainly define our season. Mansfield, Bolton, Newport, Carlisle and Oldham.

Cant fault their effort today to be fair, Worrall, Amoo and Pope play we probably win that but Guthrie, Hurst just isn’t the same level.

Need to keep in touch for three weeks and hope Pope can save us.

How different from our game at the start of the season. Was basically who was the best of 2 bad teams at the time.

If the same team starts the next match then he's fucking clueless.

Hurst tried for his classic 1-0 away win today and were not in a position to be doing that at this stage of the season especially when we lack goal scorers.

Harrogate the better side, that said we had a few chances to equalise. Hanson with a criminal miss from 8 yards he put over the stand, and our two goal scorers from Tuesday that were dropped today come on and both have good shots blocked by defenders.

He has to play wingers and stick to 4-4-2 from now on, and some won't like me saying this but I'd like to see Hanson dropped for LJL, we just can't make use of the headers Hanson wins because there is nobody about to make use of them. With LJL it's played to his feet and he lays it of for the midfielders to keep the attack going.

Looks offside to me but I must admit I feel a lot better tonight than I did this time last week. We were down with a whimper 7 days ago but this week shows that we have someone in charge with a game plan, and we were a dodgy goal away from 4 away points with two clean sheets. It was delusional to think we would have taken even a single point last Saturday night.

Pretty poor game but deserved winners overall. Vale need to stop making excuses and also need a striker
