Very fortunate to win that but what a goal to win it! About time.

we really were quite poor I thought but managed to get the 3pts, think bonner got lucky with his tactics but I really don’t care tonight.

9 wins from 14 and we’re up!

get the coconuts on again fellas.

Our season is over now, going all them weeks without playing has fucked our chances and now we've become a shit team.

I wish our manager would bloody change something.
Hellogregory did warn you ages ago that something like this could happen and you just ridiculed him for it.

As much as I hate to admit it, that Bolton goal is onside. He's behind the ball when it's hit back across goal, it just looks bad on initial viewing from that angle.

All of the saves? The one you mean?

Well ok, I should've said the whiny fella failed to say anything about the 3 good saves that Brown pulled off and at least another 2 instances of last ditch defending by the Vale players that could easily have led to goals. But he kept banging on about Guthrie's early miss.

The truth is we were poor today and I thought Vale deserved a point out of that, though it also has to be said that Burton only had the one save to make and we did create the better opportunities. But my point is the radio comm was very biased, and I wouldn't blame any Vale fan listening to that comm and not watching the live stream to get the impression they deserved to win the game.

Evatt on Barrow's late penalty shout

I spoke to their player after and he said ‘I’ve expected the contact and your lad’s pulled out and I’ve even told the ref that it wasn’t.’ So there’s no issues there. MJ’s done well to pull out. Credit to the referee and I’ve not said that too often of late, but in them instances and moments, he could have easily blown up. But to be fair to their player, he instantly held his hands up and said no to the referee and that’s brilliant honesty and great spirit.

Thought he'd nicked it and got kicked in real time.

That Orient announcement suggests new manager appointment imminent.

Both teams looked reasonable. Thought that today's game was settled by our more clinical finishing, though the O's had the bulk of possession. It got nervy for a bit when the hosts pulled a goal back, but the switch by Keith Hill going to 3 at the back took the sting out of things and Rovers ended the game fairly comfortable.

2-0 up. Two from Matt. Colchester look pretty poor.

Expected much more from Morecambe, but a decent enough performance to warrant the win. We didn’t play amazing or anything, but we made it a comfortable win in the end.

Clough said it best in the post-match, we are not ready for a top 7 but we are much better than a bottom two side.

Only had one that I recall that was a save of any note. The Hannant first half was one id expect saved every day.

Our commentary team, well mainly Birchall are getting slaughtered for being negative about Vale! He was putting everything we did down, saying we’d tire, Cambridge were going to be like Barca with this intricate passing etc.

The Guthrie save was an awful miss, got to score that and was early doors and pretty much the only real chance until about the last ten/15 so wasn’t much else he could mention really.

But bias? Birchall was absolutely awful about us in the main today.

We look like a completely different team from that we put out on Wednesday. And, well, we are.

Ebou Adams, though.

Harsh I thought, yellow in my book but if you go in like that always a risk. Last thing we need given how light we are on numbers.

Another bland performance today, tranmere fans being strangely complimentary on here, I thought we were crap. All passing and no dangerous shots, gets incredibly boring after a while.
So on the upside the owners took decisive action and the club can move forward.
Best of luck Ross, top bloke and thanks for everything but time to go

It doesn't really matter as such but don't know how you could say they were being very biased. Birchy it seemed had made his mind up before kick off it was going to be awful from Vale regardless how it went.

Truth is today is the kind of win for Cambridge that a team who goes up manages to pull out. Cambridge looked pretty ordinary most of the game but found a way so fair play on that.

Well it would have been a great night under the floodlights for sure.... away end holds 3600 but no doubt there would have been a few more scattered, not sure another 1400+ would have sneaked in lol

Most likely the worst professional game of football I've ever witnessed. Harrogate Town v Grimsby Town; two pub teams playing on a municipal park pitch. Embarrassing, proper non-league stuff; we are down!

If you look at it five minutes from the end Tuesday Burgess hits a stunner that banana all over the place like Carlos but skipped just wide, today their lad hits one that 9 times out of 10 is down Hamil Road but that’s how it goes when your struggling for form I guess.
