Thought Bolton just deserved that, just shows what a bit of patience with a manager can do. FGR will still be a threat in the playoffs if they can get their best starting XI out.
The opposite of Salford who are on are looking for their 17th ‘manager bounce’ of the season. Can’t wait to see the behind the scenes stuff on Graham Alexander and on Wellens when the class of 92 Salford documentary comes out.

Great win without really getting on top, quality goal by Doyle the difference, thougt Forest Green looked decent, still all to play for, over to the football gods for some good results elsewhere.

Same formation for us with Coke coming in for Rose. Would’ve liked to have seen a little bit more width, must win again, feels like a 0-0

On 23rd Jan after losing to Tranmere again we were 17th. Just shows any team can come from anywhere second half of the season. Crazy 2 months for us. 4 of the starters - Dapo, Williams, Declan John and Kieran Lee have never lost in a Bolton shirt. And I believe 11 wins 4 draws and 1 defeat since we switched to 4 at the back. Only defeat being Tranmere

Credit where it's due, that's a hell of a turnaround and I can't see you not going up automatically now. Huge result today.

Unchanged for us today. No sub keeper on the bench though.

Seem to have some good players there (Lee was very good with Sheffield Wednesday before his long term injury) and Doyle always gets goals at this level.

Even we were still two points above Bolton with a game in hand, now we're 24 points behind without the game in hand.

Good to be able to put our feet up and enjoy todays games....
Told all in January who would listen that we was not out of the play off places and we had signed some quality.

Think we have even surpassed even my expectations.
A lot of twists and turns but i am now confident we are going to go in the last couple of games with something to play for.

Think Crawley are a bit lightweight today but it's just about the best team we can put on the pitch.

Tunnicliffe went off injured v Barrow and Hesketh was wished a happy birthday and a speedy recovery by our twitter team so presuming his hamstring has needed a repair or rest. McNerney and Craig will go deep because they lack pace so we could end up playing on the counter attack.

Port Vale nearly always beat us so it's hard to look beyond them for this game...hmm, little hope. Crawley could win this now!

Today is our chance to stop the rot. We've been hugely unconvincing since the trophy final, and have been very lucky to get the 5 points we have. It would take some collapse for us to drop out of the playoffs, but we still have a real chance of autos and we need to grasp onto that.

Still no Vaughan, so I presume we'll be as toothless as ever. Do I sound downbeat?

End of season, nothing to play for starting 11 for us, 532 with Grandad Donaldson starting upfront for the first time in ages.

3rd time lucky at Wembley will do me
I’d rather get top 3 too. Get an early start on recruitment and a few extra weeks off for the players ahead of next season. Plus I don’t think my nerves could take it! Haha. I was nervous enough today. I’d rather enjoy watching the others in the playoffs.

Improved performances turned into results... at a ground we always do well at... injuries clearing up... we Valiants know how this tends to go!

Draw would keep us ticking along nicely.

I know we were talking about Lee, Hoolahan etc as best players in the league but across the stats Vaughan is actually the best in the league by some way apparently. I was reading something the other day and it included goals, assists, duals, sprints, distance covered, ball recoveries etc. So he will be a massive loss. He’s always had injury issues or would have played top level for a lot longer. Didn’t realise he was still only 32.

Ugly win. Really not deserved. Only positives are that Hartridge looked good again at the back, a real prospect, and Williams came on at the end after a long lay off.
Still, the three points are welcome

Recruitment is already under way............Nice to go up at the first time of asking
If we go up we need 4/5 players who are better than what we have.....Goalkeeper either division
C//B for Baptiste 2 Full backs 1 if John Stays and a Top Signing to give Doyle a run

Recruitment is under way but gives us a head start on those in the playoffs if we go up automatically. If we don’t we don’t know which league we are going to be in. We only get John and Dapo if we go up I reckon.
