Ridiculous game.

OUFC gave away a first penalty through complete misfortune, their player falls over in the box and handles the ball.

We then get a totally undeserved soft penalty to go 2-1 up...Liam Manning getting sent off into the bargain.

Then OUFC get a soft penalty to even things up, finishes 2-2.

I did think I'd take a draw before kickoff, and we certainly didn't deserve the win, but would have been fun.

The most ludicrous refereeing display you’ll see all season.

He’s cost both sides a win there. In reality it likely ought to have been a straightforward home win.

Someone how’s it’s ended 2-2. The stoppage time penalty decision awarded to OUFC…

The small things just not going our way atm, very frustrating. Watching that, if I was a Rovers fan, and they don't make the right appointment, Id be very worried

I had faith. Probably a fair result, Lincoln played it around well at times and should really have made it 2. But we kept pressing and a moment of quality from Mitchell gets the point.
Still struggle with our strikers though, Muskwe is really poor

This is why we dont have a manager. We arent very good. Thought that would have been obvious?

Saying that we have played far far far better and lost. I know which one i prefer

Comments seem to suggest that we were a bit off the pace today, a leggy performance, and was our worst showing of the three games under Shaw, but Exeter deserved their point. Kept the points total ticking over after two long away trips this week.

Hard to say really as everyone looks good against us, we even managed to make Reading look reasonable for 45 mins but Bolton are again the best side we’ve played this season and we are a million miles away from it.

Not in the slightest tbh. We have about 9 first team injuries and just sacked a manager 2 days ago. We will probably have JCH in Jan, although who knows what the new manager will want

We’ve played 100x better and lost many times. I was impressed with your play though, you’ve certainly improved since L2.

A diabolical afternoon. A big win for Cambridge. A damaging defeat for us.

How Carver thinks we’re already safe beggars belief. This team is shite and it will take some unbelievable work in January to keep us up.

Ok we were shit today, so what.

We can't win them all.

The January transfer window will define our season and I'm still confident we will bring in what we need for us to make the playoffs.

That took me back to the bad old days when we were 20th in league two. Cheltenham thoroughly deserved it. We looked clueless and this possession for possession sake shit has got to stop. Crosby has a talented squad here but Loft is exactly what Bristol Rovers fans said he is...a donkey. Uche is never going to score goals and Thomas had a poor game.

Smith had a shocker today too. Clarke knew to press him in possession and it worked.

Thought the ref had a half decent game.

Crosby out for me....that's the performance of a manager who hasn't got a clue. He got lucky earlier in the season, but alarm bells should have rang after the opening day.

The premature load blowing from Carver on Tuesday looks ridiculous now. Announcing Northampton’s relegation and our safety. He deserves this defeat and league position.

He had the warning when we followed up a good performance and win at Bolton with a pathetic display and limp defeat against Orient. But did he learn? Nope. Well we’ve gone and done it again today after our win against Burton. Will he learn now? Probably not. Whenever we next win it’ll be talk of mid table, playoffs, titles, promotions.

The signs are dire. We rarely win and when we do, we just can’t back it up and if anything take two steps backwards.

Zero positives. We’re where we deserve to be. It’s been a woeful start to the season. 14 points from 16 games. Relegation form. Wake up and get in the real world Carver

Lots of poor teams this season it seems - Carlisle the worst we've played but we were only marginally better and made a right meal out of putting them away.

Somehow we got worse when we were playing against 9 men.

We’re definitely not the lump it team we’ve been for probably 17 of the last 20 years

It was the worst game of football I’ve seen this season. Two poor teams, but we were definitely the worse of the two with an unacceptable goal (from our pov) deciding it. A deserved defeat.

Interesting that we’re the worst team you’ve seen. We are the worst team I’ve seen as well. Yet Carver said just the other night said that we’re the best team he’s seen this season

I would have snatched your hand off for a point before this game, and yet disappointment that we conceded so late in the match. An excellent result which should bolster confidence ahead of the Lasher's visit in mid week. The only problem is our home form is shite.....

I've said it a few times, only one team has impressed me this season and that was when we were getting beaten to nil every week.

It's absolutely crazy that after 11 games without scoring we're not really adrift.

The Vale fans have already said all that needs to be said about today's game. We played to our strengths and didn't fold after conceding. Scoring just before half-time seemed to kill Vale off and the closest they came to getting anything was when we nearly scored a freak own goal.

It's still tough for us, but I honestly don't think relegation is a foregone conclusion for us.

Seb Stockbridge happened. I can only assume he isn't happy if the game is all about and only about him.

I have to question what the assessors actually do/watch and how they grade/report on a performance as every game I've seen him officiate in it is the same. The game becomes all about him, he is so inconsistent (such as Wycombe's first penalty yet the same in the first half by a Wycombe player wasn't given) and players from both trams get frustrated with the continual poor decisions. Yet season in, season out he is still here making poor, inconsistent decisions, causing players to not know what is, or isn't, a foul and getting frustrated. Making the game all about him.

His inability to referee a game is summed up by Liam Manning getting sent off. We've had poor Refs and he's not said anything or maintained his calm but SS has caused him to react.

He should not be near a football pitch as an Official as he is incapable and an embarrassment to his profession. He actually makes Trevor Kettle appear a decent Ref.

As an aside from the Ref rant, Wycombe's keeper's kit is bad. Not that it is pink but that it had white shorts with pink.

I'm not shy - it was Bolton. They tore us apart.

The other hammerings (Peterborough and Stevenage) came because we fell to bits once conceding a goal and not really because of how they played. Bolton were on another level though.

It's a poor division this season and we have very much been the poorest team to date, but the fact we're not rooted to the bottom says so much about how poor the division is.

Will take that after the past 6 weeks or so.

Side note, that referee was utterly shocking. For both teams. How their 15 didn't get sent off is beggars belief. And the time wasting by Lincoln after 22 minutes, totally unpunished.

Would be us all over to go and beat Middlesborough on Tuesday night now too. Hopefully the goal means we've turned a corner

No we can’t, but more than 3 wins in 16 would be nice.

I expected better than this. Much better.

I’ve said it before, but I’ll say it again. Not sure how Warne survives this result. Quite easily the highest paid coach in the league, probably one of the best paid managers that’s ever been hired in League One, with a wage bill 4/5 times others in the league and that’s the result?

It’s disgusting. Not to say he’s a terrible manager that never deserves to work again, but he’s fast becoming one of the worst in our history - given the level he’s managing us at too, probably arguments for the worst in our history. We are well on target for our lowest ever finish, in 135 years.

What can you actually say at this point? The fans hate him.

I don't care about them, nothing we can do until January anyway and that's if we do do something.

Just got to accept that we were lucky to come up last season which was obviously too soon.

Good day for me Bolton won again and my bet on Cheltenham beating port vale came in. It's easy to bet on port vale to lose a game when there odds on favourites for it as they always lose those types of games.

Issue today was you do the basics in football you win that game 1-0, it was two absolutely horrific goals to concede, a long throw which should be bread and butter and then the second needs the benny hill tune to it, Smith and Debrah tackle each other trying to clear a simple clearance, their lad hits it and it loops in. Sunday league stuff.

I wasn’t too worried until today as we had been playing well but that was awful, by far the worst performance of the season and arguably up there as bad as any since back at this level, it reminded me of the horror show against Cambridge last season who were getting panned week in week out when we played them.

We seem to be in the same rut as last season, only time we don’t have 35 points in the bag, where we were decent but just hit a bad patch and can’t stop the rot, injuries are piling up now just like last season and we seem clueless how to get back to what we were doing.

8 wins since New Years Day in the league says it all, we’ve changed the squad but the same end result and maybe that’s down to keeping the status quo with Crosby who was a large part of the DC era. It maybe needed a fresh outlook. Crosby is an immense coach and the football we play at times is excellent but he isn’t a manager and it is starting to show.

If we don’t get rid soon we will slip into league two. As it stands barring a massive change both teams will meet a level below, don’t see them getting 40/42 points in 2/3 of a season and we are nose diving as it stands.

A lot of anger tonight understandably and Crosbys post match interview bemused me… “we are developing young players for the long term project” all good an well but for all the hard work to get into League One it’s pointless going backwards to League Two to be a “long term project”

Took the piss out of Charlton and Garner when he was moaning how good they were after passing around their centre halves for 90 minutes and losing to us a year ago… that’s pretty much us at the moment.

Yes, it’s atrocious. We used to crank out deliberately horrible goalie kits for several seasons like the classic below, which were ok for the lolz, but pink with white shorts isn’t amusingly bad, it just looks awful.

What a bizarre afternoon. Tennis balls oh the pitch threatening to get the game called off. 2 down within half and hour, unrecognisable at the back. Then we just turned it on and got one back through Anjorin. Then again sloppy at the back and somehow after going round Norris, Sam Smith shot wide. That was the turning point. We upped it even more and Bishop made it 2-2. Then ht all over Reading and made it 3-2. Then the subs for both sides turned the game on its head. Norris pulling off 2 amazing saves and the Reading keeper Button volleyed wide from inside the box whilst up for a corner. Still great 3 points and Oxford on a bit of a poor run it's all looking rosy at the top.

The best team we’ve played was Barnsley, we couldn’t get near them at all. We’ve been very similar to last season and today’s result doesn’t change the fact we are a poor side at the moment. But the fact we’ve not been smashed apart more often shows the mediocrity in the league. Even Portsmouth on Tuesday were bang average, they’d have been torn apart by any of the three sides promoted last season.

We didn’t get worse, we just killed the game by being mature in slowing the game down.

Somehow we’ve gone from a really exciting team to watch to a team so short of confidence we are scared to express ourselves at the moment. However 7 clean sheets from 15 games is a good foundation to build on and feel we’ll be fine this season with 60 odd points.
