We had trouble at Kingsmeadow back I the day but yesterday was fine. Maybe it's because I'm a 60+ woman who only wants a chat. Oxford supporter in my hotel in Barrybados this evening and we chewed the fat for a while. At the end of the day, we all love our teams and football in general.
Just a warning, when you visit FGR be VERY careful if you encounter Chris FGR, :box: just one slightly wrong word or even tone of voice from you could potentially cause you undue violence, being a 60+ Woman will not matter to him, they guy is an absolute BEAST and must be approached with caution at all costs.
You have been warned!!!

I've never met Chris to my knowledge but I've experienced him online. In fact I may have banned him briefly from another forum.

I tend to find that the people who refuse to look at the league table after 6 games generally aren’t top of it.

Oh bloody hell county are top! good effort.

Proves my point exactly though, anyone can be top so early!

Surprisingly good effort indeed. I'm pretty confident we won't be after the next round or two of matches as we are away at MK and Salford.

Regardless a very positive start to the season from the newly promoted yet talented side.

Certainly made the most of a kind set of opening fixtures, but you can only beat what’s infront of you. I’m sure county will be up there or there abouts

Well of course very early days but of the 6 fixtures we have played the same sides in half of them in Grimsby, Morecambe and Doncaster and we beat two of them and you beat one.

Looked a pretty favourable start but always hard to tell, who would have predicted we get hammered and rightly so by Sutton and comfortably destroy Doncaster before the season started? Not me that's for sure.

Me too I predicted Notts 6th, Mansfield 3rd before a ball was kicked. I really do think it will finally be the Year of the Stag.

Is Grimsby, Accrington and upwardly mobile Morecambe that kind? All have good managers and certainly compete. Don't expect Doncaster to remain where they are either.
MK Dons is a killer for us, can't remember us ever beating them and my only memory of Salford was an embarrassing Friday night defeat to them in the Cup six or so years ago so I'd be very surprised if we get more than 2pts from them.

Let’s not beat around the bush that’s a kind opening 6 games. Not a go, not a dig, just is.

You could’ve still only got 3/4 points from them and you’ve bounced back well after the opening game against sutton.

I'm gonna go with Adam on this, he knows league 2 and doesn't beat around the bush.

Plus Mansfield have played half of the same sides as Notts so far and that league table, that nobody looks at, says both have had favourable starts and both started well.

I mean, it’s Adam Stag. Nobody takes him seriously, even the other Mansfield fans you can tell just humour him so as not to offend him.
Rating him on his posting ability in comparison to football teams, Adam is the Dog and Duck.

Or maybe the Dog and Partridge.

That’s a cracking joke .Keep to the day job for now though kid. How is it possible to get offended by something on a messagboard.

I do love your infatuation of everything mansfield though, we could have you down as an honorary fan sometime, can get you some panda pop at half time.

To answer that question all you have to do is speak to your Stags amigo in Espana, he seems to get offended and often. Anything Notts related sets him off. Definitely an infatuation evident there.

Seems common on here: Other clubs, Wrexham's media attention, number of injuries sustained, size of your away followings.

I think you will find that Notts are the best team in the league, and were the best team in the National League last year. Because of their possession stats or xG or something.

Absolutely wonderful Twitter meltdown for an otherwise pretty boring Tuesday.

I don't know who or what they are , and some of the terms are above my footballing pay grade but I like their work.

What I think they are saying is that Notts County FC play really really pretty football, proper football and the locals seemingly love to see it.

Can tell I’m getting old because what the hell is a ‘smart pass’? Which implies the existence of non-smart passes.

It's a Luke Williams thing, you wouldn't understand.
Oh I don't know, all clubs use stats these days, even dinosaur Phil, ( who's not really a dinosaur, just pretty direct ).
I think we just use it openly and have fans who write about it. I read their stuff most weeks and rather than being revelatory it tends to confirm what you thought you'd seen for the most part.

If they are good enough for Luke Williams they are certainly good enough for me. More importantly I just want to enjoy the ones I understand before our favourable start well and truly ends after the MK Dons and Salford away games. The stats won't be looking as good then as we fast approach the period where we are allowed to look at that darn league table.
