Fully expect Cook to start, too. Hughes said something similar about Jamie Walker before the Crewe game - he started and scored. Hopefully it’s the same with Cook at the weekend.

As for the team: late calls on Kevin McDonald, Alex Pattison and Andy Cook.

But Vadaine Oliver, Harry Chapman, Alex Gilliead and Ash Taylor are still out injured.

Clarke Oduor is back fit.

GK: Harry Lewis

CB: Matty Platt
CB: Sam Stubbs
CB: Cieran Kelly

LWB: Liam Ridehalgh
RWB: Brad Halliday

CM: Kevin McDonald/Ritchie Smallwood
CM: Alex Pattison

RW: Jamie Walker
CF: Andy Cook/Tyler Smith
LW: Clarke Oduor

Won our last 3 games at Field Mill.

2-1 City

Cook x2

It’s so long since anyone sold it out, I think it’s between 2-3000. 900 under cover, the rest open

’Away fans visiting the Energy Check County Ground are located in the Arkell’s Stand, with a typical allocation of around 1,200. For larger away followings, the Stratton Bank Stand can be allocated, which holds 2,100.’

Not sure if the 1200 is correct with segregation
Have you any plans to cover that end? You're a decent sized club to still be having open terraces.

Yeah. Now we’ve purchased the stadium the redevelopment is in the pipeline. Covering that open end and a new 5000 seater Town End - £25m in total. There is a timescale for it to start as part of the purchase deal.

Managed to actually get an away ticket for once. Been to Prenton park a few times, not seen many successful days on the pitch.
Stockport tickets sold out it less then a minute this morning. These bandwagoners are starting to annoy me

2-2

Hayden with a late equaliser for us, Lee with the other.
Jennings and Morris for them
Think I'd take a draw on our current form. Maybe a 99th minute equaliser from Connor Jennings, most likely scorer for Rovers.

McCann pretty much admitted Notts midfield outran yours a couple of weeks ago, I was quite surprised how candid and downbeat he was to be honest.
That’s the thing about McCann he doesn’t make excuses just says it how it is. He was absolutely disgusted with our performance against you, we knew we had to press you but basically barely jogged around the pitch. We had Bostock and knew if you got in his face he couldn’t cope but give him time and he would destroy you.

I just know we'll get turned over at Harrogate, fresh off their 8-0 spanking last night. It's written in law that we'll never win there.

And he did.

I have a strong feeling he will help destroy many a team this season. He's a bit good.

I remember reading some of your fans in your relegation season very glad to see the back of Bostock because he couldn't run while others wanted to give him another year.
He can look slow and took some time to get match when he first came but he is strong on the ball and takes some shaking off and rarely plays a stray pass.
He's reached cult status here, proper fans favourite.

John Bostock pulls the strings regardless of how you try to stop him I’m afraid.

Me too.

Mind if he’s not on top form/fitness he won’t get much change out of flint.
I thought Flint was brilliant against us, nothing was getting past him that second half you could just see he was absolute class.

Despite him having no pre-season he’s been everything we expected so far. Could still do it top end L1 I reckon.

Just a shame him and Kilgour chance of a CB pairing is gone this year.

What's Flints pace like these days?

I'd almost rather go with Clarke Oduor, Tyler Smith and Jamie Walker as our front three and get the pacey legs running at Flint.

Hopefully bounce back with a decent performance after last Saturday’s blip, when we seemed to think we only had to turn up to win.
We will still be without quite a few, though nothing on the Mansfield scale.
Poxy train strikes have done for me getting to this one. Fair play to the 400 odd that are still going though.

Ol’ Sparky didn’t sound too excited about recalling Young, did he?

‘Cos it won’t happen. We’re hoping you fall victim to buying him and he’ll go back into his shell when he secures a new deal.

The lads a problem.

Haven’t seen him struggle against pace yet, think his experience/positioning helps avoiding those situations where he’s exposed. We’ve loaned a young kid from Leicester who should be able to cover if it does happen.

Is Cook fit do we know? Bradford fan I know seems to think he definitely will be playing.

I have the same feeling about Bradford on Saturday than I did Stockport, so hopefully I’m wrong again but I feel like our lack of depth and playing strikers in defence etc is going to catch up on us big time eventually.

Either way I’m looking forward to it, update yesterday was 8000+ sold so expecting a decent atmosphere.

It's great to hear Mansfield fans talking about impressive home attendances on here.

Heard today Oates is out for 10 week. Fucking excellent
Are you lot getting injured in games or training? I thought you were knocking it around well so far so I would have thought impact injuries would be kept to a minimum. Season after season it seems. Can’t all be down to bad luck.

Majority of them are. Obviously Kilgour.abit of a freak injury but that said apparently injuries have troubled him in the past.

Oates looked to do his ankle maybe towards the end of Tuesdays game but then ran it off and took a pen so not sure if it was that injury or if he’s done something in training.

At this point I’m convinced the club is cursed. Tomorrows bench will have our number 2 goalkeeper and probably Williams and the rest will be the youth team.

Probably still beat Bradford mind

If Oates is out that’s tragic, just hitting form and our other strikers are needed in defence.

Must be the most injury prone squad assembled in history at this point. Fed up.
