Beginning to lose faith in McKenna now. Poor form for far too long. The whole of 2022, across two seasons we had a brilliant record, including a fantastic run of consecutive clean sheets.

Ever since I’ve watched Town, the club can’t keep up a promotion form for a whole season. We wasted 14/15 after being top half way through, nearly missing out on the play offs! Some things clearly never change.

Play offs our best chance of going up now, but the team can’t cope with pressure so imo even that’s out the window.
Oh well just throw another few million at it in the summer innit. If you had to watch the shit ive seen in the last few games you would really have something to complain about

Who’s going to come in and do a better job though? You still batter virtually everyone stats wise… just concede the odd soft goal and don’t take your chances often enough. You aren’t a million miles from being a great team.

Do you reckon you’ve possibly made too many signings?

Possibly but not to the extent others accuse us of. We had to change our squad in full last season, the players were aging, lost the mentality for the club (been here too long).

Oh well just throw another few million at it in the summer innit. If you had to watch the shit ive seen in the last few games you would really have something to complain about

The players individually are good enough, worth their value. They should be better as a team.
I have a lot to complain about as a Town fan, no promotion (even if it would be a league 1 promotion), only one play off semi and multiple failures since watching the club.

Precisely. We are not far from a good team but the coaching clearly is failing. Can’t seem to cope with in game decisions on how to improve our game now clubs have found ways to stop us.

Cracking result for us today. First away game ive paid to watch on Ifollow. Great to start on the front foot and deservedly went ahead. Accrington very poor today. Could/ should have been a few more. Great to have Montsma back after a year out injured and the new player in midfield was very accomplished, exactly whats been missing. House an absolute menace up front all game. Nice to got one over Colman.

A nice gap forming on those below. Bristol Rovers ar home next who are having a torrid time.

We were worth a draw today, if we’d gone two up with that pen then I think we’d have had enough to see it out in the second half.

Would have taken a draw before the game though and it’s a decent point. Play like that and we’ll stay up.

the relegation dogfight is going to be another excruciatingly close job this season, I suspect.

I feel like FGR are gone at this point unless Ferguson can somehow mould all those thrown-together signings into an actual team. But beyond that, there's plenty who could still get dragged in.

Great to see the 33k at Hillsborough. Cracking for third tier football.

Unfortunately that’s as good as it got. Messy and broken game, plenty of stoppages, poor pitch, poor ref.

We created zilch and I think Schuey got the starting lineup wrong. Wednesday deserved the win and it was always uphill after the first half injuries.

Wednesday have got a few technically really good players, the rest of them are total physicality monsters which no one in this league can match. If anyone finishes above them they’ll be champions.

No need to meltdown for us, Ipswich drawing makes it an ok day and one of the 2 have to drop points next week.

Derby on the charge…

I think it is us plus three from Fleetwood downwards...Lincoln are probably going to be safe, if they can win their game in hand they will probably only need something like ten points from their remaining games to avoid the drop.

With four points covering the eight teams above us it really could go down to the wire to determine who joins us in checking the route to Wrexham next season!

We battled hard, on another day might have nicked a point but Posh were a well drilled side. Soft pen I thought from a shocking ref who gave us nothing all day.

The table isn’t looking too great for us with Burton & MK winning, we’re 7 points off safety having played between 2-4 games more then everyone else.

DC is absolutely seething under trying to sound calm, first time today he’s dug the lads out and felt the first time we didn’t show the character.

They’ve been roasted…

Only Vale could sign another injured striker though.

Subs killed us at the end we ended up with a make shift defence, still no real threat and took off our best player in Ojo.

Only positive is getting minutes into Conlon and Proctor but they were both miles off the pace.

Huge huge game Tuesday and we massively need a big reaction (and a fit striker).

Wow. Finally showed our teeth today.
2-2 in injury time yet we somehow went on to win it.
Out the bottom 4. First time since, well, last season I think.

Terrible game that.
Reminded me of the aspin era.
Thankfully these games are few and far between.
Definitely a pen I thought, his arm was high.
Toothless.
And a tannoy announcement to say we run out of food..

Something seems to have happened off the field that isn’t great. Lots of rumours floating about and the change in tact on the transfer window.

Dont rule us out - I honestly cant see where the next point is coming from and we've got beat by 3 of the worst teams here in the last 3 games.

No, surely not, the wonderful ride with Carol can't be coming to an early end?

FIVE WINS ON THE BOUNCE!!!

Ryan Bowman the match winner off the bench for the second weekend running. Good to see Barnsley drop points at Fratton Park. We close the gap to three points. Things are looking good down at the Meadow…

Roll on Port Vale!
I'm betting on a 9 nil Shrewsbury win

Looking at the table through my fingers and it’s not so bad now. But you can see a few more above us getting dragged in if we all keep wining. Could be interesting. Perhaps as high as Oxford / vale, more likely the few below them but it’s certainly not all done for.

Missed chance today for sure, and we're certainly struggling recently.

Top two still very much in sight but this extended dip of form needs to be rectified quickly.

Home to Wednesday seems to get bigger and bigger each week.

Our run must come to an end soon so wouldn't be a shock if it was next week but if we come away with a point then it's been a successful week for us. Two 'easy' home games follow where we will no doubt dip unexpectedly

No but it’s clear not all is good at the moment. Something has happened in recent weeks which seems to have affected the club behind the scenes.

Various talk including Ian Donaldson coming on board with a 49% share (would be excellent as he is minted and equally minded to Carol).

Does seem odd though with the fan base at a high we haven’t had since the Championship days and all the corporate success we have etc.

That's how I found Wednesday. They're not scintillating or amazing but they close down the space quicker than any team I've seen in the league and they're also physically very strong throughout the team. Would be amazed if they weren't in the top 2 come the end of the season.....in spite of their manager.

Ah well, after losing our top scorer in the transfer window, missing 2 first choice centre backs and losing a 3rd to injury early doors, 3-0 is not a bad result.

Vale will do a lot better once they have a proper striker as has been said, they look good from an attacking perspective, just missing the final piece up front.
I thought we looked OK 1st half and didn't deserve to be behind. Second half was a shambles. Disjointed, no clear plan, aimless passing, it was as bad as our bottom of league 2 days.

Our manager said after the game that Wycombe didn't put 3 passes together all day but walked away with a 3-0 win.

Our honeymoon period in league 1 is well and truly over. What's frustrating is that the quality is barely better than league 2 but we've been very naive with some of our transfer dealing....whether that's due to severe lack of funds who knows?....

Today was incredibly frustrating. Did the one thing you don’t really want to do against Wycombe and that’s fall behind early. To concede it the way we did was a bit annoying too, poor in possession from Smith and can Jones at least make some effort to try and force him wider or stand him up??

Beyond that despite the score it wasn’t all bad, at times some of our approach play was fine but 12 attempts and 0 on target tells its own story really. The opportunities are there but we too rarely make it count. On to Accy anyway!

All the best to Sir Gareth though. Add him to the list of managers including our own citing the pitch after the game. Very street smart though from them, can see they’re well managed and hope they can crack the top 6.

Play fair Barry. At least we can bring a decent following to your away end. Wouldn't you rather one of these dog and duck sides getting relegated back where they belong?
Oh only to piss Andy off. I don't care either way with any luck we won't be meeting next season
