Easy win. As soon as I saw Grimsby’s lineup I knew we’d win. Although the first 20 or so minutes we were absolute garbage and didn’t look like scoring.

Really happy with it though. To win so comfortably is a dream, no stress, no backs to the wall, just a nice comfortable win and two good goals.

A few people around me were disappointed as they’d came to see Anthony Glennon live. One lad I know sacked it off when he saw the teams at 2pm.

We shithoused our way to a 1-0 defeat. Impressive stuff. Everything about us as a club is unrecognisable at the moment. Onto the the next defeat

Strange the Orient game was advertised as a sell out when there were hundreds of empty seats on view.

Credit to Pools for turning up to play football instead of shithousing. Neither team looked especially sharp going forward and the draw was probably fair. We didn't turn up first half but were the better team in the second. Never a penalty, at least from where I was standing; defender's gone some way to impeding his run, but the ball's in a different postcode and Saunders has gone down so easily
That was the first time we've played football this season, believe me.

Bloody awful red card. Only we could shithouse a red card and then let ten men score against us.

Who's beating us next?

We announce our crowds as tickets sold now, have done all season. Probably around 1000 less there than what was announced.

Few of you Grimsby lot are strange on here. Anyway my conspiracy rage itch is scratched today after a glance at Scunny’s score
Yes I admit it, we are strange…getting indignant about a ban on plastic fish, calling a load of surplus blow-up Rainbow Trouts with no possible use for any part of humanity Harry the Haddock in 1989, crowd funding a band to play at a random away game, a pathogical hatred of fried cod…

Were not in to bas form ourselves only 2 defeats in the last 11 for us, which is about as good as its been this season. Our problem being we draw far too many (7 draws in the last 11) we have injuries coming back though aswell Baker-Richardson who is arguably our best player and has been out for the last 3 months is expected to be on the nench on Saturday and Colckett and Chris Long (who's not played all season) are on there way back aswell.

Sutton 1-1 Crewe (Ajiboye, Agyei) 3,112 (375 Crewe)
Correct score, correct Crewe scorer and only 1 out on the away following

I thought Colchester looked decent in the first half and had a few good chances. I was impressed by Tchamadeu, who looked rapid and always positive. Second half they seemed happy with a point and didn't really do anything of note which was strange. As Wilsden said, there was a bit too much time-wasting going on from Colchester. Bit them on the arse in the end.

outside the playoffs still but win away at wimbledon with that injury list is just absolutely amazing!!!! totally unexpected.

8 goals in 2 games against the won led, i’m sure the 905 fans will be well happy.

I mean the games keep getting easier, orient at home next, which will be close to another home sell out.

Clough said post match 9 out of the 10 Injuries are contact, one muscle related.

I’m really worried about playing Orient, Northampton and Stockport next, I mean how long can we continue without our player of the year, first choice goalkeeper, both full backs, best midfielder and top goal scorer?

We are missing both first choice full backs, arguably our best centre half and our best central midfielder, along with 5 others

First team to get 11 on the pitch wins

Do you have a secondary LB? Or is it normal to play a striker there instead?

What an ending made the first 85 minutes of crap worth while, amazing atmosphere at the end great scenes. Hopefully that’ll give us the confidence to kick on, serves Colchester right who weren’t bad but wasted time at every opportunity from minute one and held their head whenever possible.
Hmm - that looks suspiciously like it should be in the Tinpot thread…

Not seen many worse games than that this season. Dire, flat first half. Better 2nd and didn’t really deserve to lose by the end. Don’t think Crewe can have any complaints about the red. Overall they stood up physically to us quite comfortably, better than most, but thankfully had very little up top. Take the point and move on, we’ll have to be better to win Tuesday.

A draw was a fair result today. We started the stronger of the two sides and Saunders missed a sitter after fifteen minutes, but having taken the lead Hartlepool grew in confidence and caused us problems. We were not helped by both Lewis and Walker going off injured, in addition to the players we already have out, but I thought our youngsters did well to regroup and battle their way back into the game in the second half.

The penalty was soft, but I thought we deserved at least a point overall. Jordan Turnbull was outstanding again, but our current strikeforce, in the absence of Hemmings at least, is one of the weakest in front of goal I can remember. Could not finish their dinner.

Looks like we might be back down here next season then.

Word of advice. Never buy a keeper from Tranmere.
We have actually got the 41 year old Joe Murphy back in goal now.

We signed two youngsters last season, Doohan and Hewelt, and neither of them are up to it.

We rejected a 'substantial' bid from a Championship club (believed to be either Luton or Rotherham) in late January for Tchamadeu. He will still be under contract but is fully expected to move on this summer. He is excellent in an attacking sense and a real athlete, but can be found wanting at times defensively.

It's easy to forget that he only recently turned 19 though as he made his debut so young, but he's definitely a real prospect.

Odd take from our Twitter account…

Ahhh, it appears after we beat Crawley earlier in the season WAGMI tweeted one of our directors said ‘Class will always beat ass‘ at the final whistle, which didnt happen. Hence the reply today, so at least some context.

You should be thankful, League 1 next season looks like it will have Devon Lad, Masi, and Carver in it.
Be glad you’re escaping it.

He looked a very good prospect for sure, but my thoughts were he looked very raw, but I was stunned to read he had just turned 19, and as a result i retract any comment i've made that puts him in anything other than a great young player prospect.

Dire game at EP today. County came out all guns blazing and should have had two in the first five minutes, then there was an injury and Donny had time for a team talk and shut things down after that, 9 or 10 behind the ball at all times. We kept pressing but the final ball was awful each time. Any talk of an automatic spot is out of the window, just got to try and hang on to the top 7 now
