0-0 after 15m at Glanford Park.
Orient have had a penalty saved and hit the post from a deflected shot.
From my perspective frustrating not to be 1 up, but we playing some good stuff.
Scunthorpe definitely started the slower, but they seem solid enough.

Feels like it's gonna be one of those days.

Dodgy penalty given, every deflection falling to Orient. Thankfully they're not capatalising just yet

I think it was definitely a penalty, I'd be annoyed to concede it too but the ball does come off his arm.
Lovely header from a scunny corner tipped over the bar by our keeper and jobi macanuff missing a very good chance from the edge of the box.
Entertaining game so far, Os the better side but scunny definitely in the game.
Could see them nicking this like we did against Vale last week

Must be nice for scunny to see their home fans back in more numbers than usual at least.

Nice to be winning but not sure how long it will last.

Orient have looked dangerous at times, particularly Wilkinson as he's about a foot taller than our LB.

Gotta step on their throats like we did against Harrogate, if Cox sets us up to sit back we will throw it away.

Didn't Bradford also get promoted the season they had a phenomenal cup run? Or am I getting my years mixed up...
They did. They overtook us to get into the playoffs after they looked poor when we beat them 4-1.
Lincoln got to the quarter finals the year they won the National League too

I expect it will be Furman for Guy. I don’t think Beech rates Devine in the midfield role that Guy plays, he’ll want him to play the same role as he did Wednesday, getting up and down and into the box when he can.

Farman
Tanner Hayden Bennett Anderton
Devine Furman Mellish
Kayode Alessandra Patrick

This will be the starting 11 in my opinion.
You were right

We are unchanged so Jay wins the battle over Law. Clearly Taylor doesn't feel we are tired.
Sercombe starts for them, I am not sure he has played against us before. Hope he is kept quiet

One change for the injured Tutte....Evatt made a big surprise by overlooking Comley and White and gives a League debut to 18 year old george Thompson.....Was out on loan at Bamber Bridge recalled because he was getting rave reviews.........Big step up

Yep I remember them taking our play off spot, just wasn't sure if it was the same year they did that cup run

Jay is the inform man so im glad he's starting, although law is immense. Wish we could somehow play them both.

I'm sure Sercs played against us when he was at Oxford at some point?

He's an Exeter boy through and through and still comes out down here a lot. I'm not sure if he will be as keen as Reid will be to score against us.

Edit - Just seen reid isn't starting. Thank god!

Second half starting the exact same as the 1st, we've barely touched it

Interesting call by Askey dropping Mitch Clark to the bench for Zak Mills. Also it’s noticeable two games running that McKirdy not even in the matchday squad. Suggests some of the suggested rumours might have legs there.

Either way hopefully these decisions pay off for Askey.

Orient are a decent outfit from what I’ve seen. Definitely in the hat for a top 7 finish.
We're a solid XI there's no doubt about that, but I don't think we are quite there yet, too inconsistent defensively for one thing and not a great amount of depth in our squad.
If we keep our best players, get rid of some of the national league dead wood and make a couple of good signings we should push on next season.

Can’t believe he’s gone for Rodney up top in a negative set up with our attacking full backs dropped in favour of defensive ones. Pope would be better for hold up.

We're inviting pressure with the way we're set up here, can see an Orient goal coming

Last time we were promoted, we made the fifth round of the FA Cup and the area final of the LDV Vans Trophy. Presumably this is more to do with the fact that the teams getting promoted are generally strongest/having the best seasons though, so it's to be expected really.
Last time we were relegated we reached the FACup fourth round.

Don’t see us having much chance. It’s negative with a pacey striker (well winger playing as a striker) up front alone. Loads of hoof and it coming back until 1/2-0 down then we will make the changes probably get 1 back but huff and puff.

We definitely don't deserve to be 2-0 up here but I won't complain.

We have defended fantastically so far just need to keep it up

2 0 scunny.
Bit of a suckerpunch to be honest, very poor goal to concede.
We were by far the better side first half, move even in the second, but to lose this one 2 0 is pretty galling to be honest.
Oh well.

Orient really should have kept that one out.
